Customer Reviews

Their online payroll system is much less expensive that the competitors. The system is SO easy to set up and use! We have 15 employees and processing payroll takes less than 15 min start to finish. It links to my QB and tracks required sick leave, tips, everything we need. I made an error on one payroll, and I could even delete those checks and re-enter them no problem (the help system told me how). Nice!

I've been with this company for 4+ years and will continue as long as I'm in business!!! Absolutely, hands down, the most reliable, efficient, very reasonable and I trust them 100%! The owner, Steve is the most pleasant person to talk to, when I have any questions that I don't understand. He is extremely patient and never makes me feel rushed, even during his busiest times. I never have to worry about my tax filings...his company has taken my burden and stress away and handles my payroll in a very smooth wa

We've worked with this payroll service for about 10 years now. It's definitely geared towards a company who doesn't mind being more hands-on with their payroll. All interaction is through the online interface. But, on occasion I do have a question that requires a live person. Although, very direct and to-the-point, I generally find interaction with the owner (I think) to be helpful. If you need extensive assistance with your payroll and related activities, I'm not sure this would be the service for you

I have been with 10dollar for couple years already. The service is so great both accounting and payroll. The payroll is very affordable and is easy to use. I have never had problem about fraud. Always support even the after hours. I recommend to use the service. A++

I have utilized their services from 2011 for Payroll Running. They provide very good services, answer questions and attend to concerns ASAP by Email or Phone. In the initial period they used to run through step by step instructions which was very helpful. Their web site is very user friendly. Another good thing is they sent reminders in advance and send important documents that should be preserved long term for IRS purposes. I have no hesitation to recommend to Small Businesses.

We have a restaurant and love this online payroll system. The price is way less than others wanted to charge. It does all the calculations and tracking, has direct deposit for our employees. As easy as it is to print payroll checks, we almost never have to. And we pay taxes online too. Cheap and easy -- gotta love it.

Ive been working with 10 Dollar Payroll and Steve for over 5 years. You cant beat the service considering how much you are saving! I pay a fraction of what other payroll services charge. Once setup, everything is automated! However you need to be tech savvy. Its not for those who need guidance every step of the way.

6 Years ago I switched to 10DollarPayroll as a lower priced alternative to a higher priced competitor. I save A LOT of money. In addition to the savings they have a flexible and easy to navigate management console, great reporting features and responsive customer service. Completely positive experience for 6 years. ????

I found them on a whim while searching for other payroll services. They have been easy to work with, I've had to call numerous times with questions and always get to speak to someone. That right there makes it worth it. I am a chiropractor, and this is one more responsibility they've taken off my plate. Payroll literally takes about 3-5 minutes now.

Affordable, always available even after hours for my questions. Have been using for a couple of years now and much better and cheaper than other companies. I have everything at my fingertips, reports, documents forms and it is pretty easy to use. Service is also great as stated they respond to my inquires and needs quickly!

I've been using this service since 2007, and am completely satisfied. Besides making my payroll and tax payments one-click processes, when I've had problems, Steve and his crew have been quick and accurate in helping me get issues resolved. Use them!

10 Dollar Payroll has been wonderful. Steve and his team are very responsive (Steve even returns my calls on weekends) their website is easy to navigate and use and their prices are very reasonable. I am very happy to recommend them!

Quick, officiant, friendly, inexpensive and easy. What more could someone want in a payroll company? I have been paying way to much for years and decided to make a change. It was very easy to complete. If you have been holding off for fear of the complexities that this type of change can bring, don't hold off any more. Just do it.

Steve and his team have gone above and beyond to help us over the many years we've worked with them. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a great accountant who will always go the extra mile to ensure you're 100% satisfied. Thank you!

We have used 10dollarpayroll for years. Great rates and thorough payroll services. Perfect for a small and large business. End of the year W2?s and 1099 are done at the click of a button.

Tried 2 of the well known payroll guys. There were too many nasty surprises when it came to what I was charged. When I went to steve he went over it carefully and there have been no nasty surprises.....for the last three years. When it comes to the corporate stuff he warns you about what you need to know about and act upon to stay out of trouble.

I am truly happy with my decision to use 10Dollar Payroll services. They are very helpful and professional. I highly recommend 10Dollar Payroll to any small or large businesses.

I have used 10dollarPayroll since starting my business in 2007. My accountant thought my annual cost figure was a mistake, as it was WAY lower than other competitors. I have recommended them to many others!

10 Dollar Payroll Service has prepared my payroll and payroll taxes for almost 7 years and they get it right. The cost is economical and the product is A+!

Very helpful staff....easy to use online payroll system...I worked with almost 13 different payroll companies and this one is by far the best with great prices that no one can do. Thank you!

Easy and affordable. Minimal effort on my end with all of the calculations and electronic tax payments made by 10Dollarpayroll. An excellent option for a small business!

I am so happy I found this company. Personal Attention in addition to automated payroll. Would recommend this service highly. Frank.

I've been working with Steve and his team for a few years. They are very affordable and knowledgable for a small business like mine.

I have been with 10dollar Payroll for over twenty years they are accurate, excellent customer service and very cost effective.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. These are fake reviews that the company put up themselves. I know several companies that went to them and there employees information was all later used in fraud. Stay away you have been warned.

great CPA works fast, responsive to calls/emails even late night, would recommend to many starting business.

Excellent service and I highly recommend to anybody looking for an easy to use platform. The team is also very responsive and have gone above and beyond for my business.

been with them for 5+ years, very simple, very easy, always super responsive, A++, and Recommended!

Best payroll service! Don't be fooled by the low prices...they deliver top performance and great customer service.

Very professional service. Responsive, friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Very cost effective payroll services with exceptional, timely service and support.

Pathetic Service. You will need to constantly follow up with them for everything. Every process is very slow. I will never recommend using their services.

Terrible service would never come back

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications should I look for in a CPA?

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.

How do I find a CPA in my area?

Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant?

A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.

How do I know if a CPA specializes in my needs?

Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.

Should I check a CPA’s reviews before hiring?

Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.

How can I verify a CPA’s license?

Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.

What questions should I ask during a CPA consultation?

Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.

How much should I expect to pay for a CPA’s services?

Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.

Can I work with a CPA remotely?

Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.

How do I assess a CPA’s communication skills?

During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.

What red flags should I watch for when screening a CPA?

Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.

Should I choose a CPA from a large firm or a solo practitioner?

Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.

Can a CPA help with both personal and business finances?

Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my CPA?

Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
