For a small business owner like myself, AQuarles' specialty in small business accounts has been invaluable. Their coaching has been a game-changer. They are thorough and responsive for our personal tax returns as well. Highly recommended!
Anita and her team were incredible. They worked quickly and diligently to assist me with a surprise situation and I am beyond grateful! Thank you so much for your quick work and attention to detail so I could close on my home as planned!
The team at A. Quarles CPA is professional, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable. A special shoutout to Dawn, who has been nothing short of amazing?always kind, quick to respond, and incredibly thorough. It?s rare to find a firm that makes accounting feel this seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and personable accounting partner!
Anita Quarles and her team provide great accounting services to my company Solutions Afoot. We highly recommend them to other companies who want white glove CPA services.
Anita and her team are always ready to help with any tax accounting questions. They are an enormous asset to our team and could not imagine running our business without them!
Anita and her team work over and beyond for our family each tax season. We deeply appreciate your team for all your hard work.
Her team made multiple mistakes on our tax return, some we caught ahead of time -- and others we didn't. I received a penalty fine from the state today for this agency's mistakes! Awful. Avoid.
Always professional and knowledgeable! Dawn is a treasure and very easy to work with. I would heartily endorse them after having been with them almost 10 years
Was very disappointed. Everyone was very unfriendly and did not communicate well during the process. They also made a mistake on my return and I wouldn't have known until the IRS sent me a letter saying I overpaid and would be getting a refund check back. Pretty bad
Anita and team are knowledgeable professionals with our taxes. Thanks Team for taking care of us year after year ??
Anita and her staff have been so helpful and so professional. In the past I have had issues with other groups I've used to assist with my business. When someone told me about Anita, I requested a meeting and after the meeting I knew right away this was the group I wanted to use. Anita and her staff do not just answer my question, they explain every detail. They work hard and all help me get through any situation may I have. They have been such a blessing for my company and myself.
Accounting services second to none! They have saved me thousands of dollars over the years. Highly recommended.
Anita Quarles has been doing our taxes since I started my business in 2017. They have been very helpful and very prompt in everything they do. Any time that I have questions about something, I can just call them up and they help me out. Very friendly people, great at what they do and I would highly recommend them to any business, small or big. They care about their clients and show it in their work and how you are treated.
Anita and her team have been great to work with. Definitely would recommend for your tax and accounting work.
Anita and her team are such a huge help to me in my 3 businesses. They are quick to respond whenever I had a question. They are also great at offering the best solutions to help me and my businesses. Thank you to Anita and her amazing staff.
Anita and her team have been a wonderful addition to our business over the last 3 years. We have been able to excel as a company by having them on board. They are always on time, professional and able to answer questions that might arise in day to day business. Thank you for all you and your team do for us!!!

Anita and Amanda are amazing! They helped us uncover some unpaid invoices and paid for their annual services in the first couple of weeks working together. Would recommend to anyone!

Anita and her team are very easy and good to work with. They are professional and is on top of things. I have used serval accounts in the life span of my company and so far they are the best accountants I have used. I will refer them to all my friends and family
Easy to talk to, and easy to get questions answered. Anita was excellent and looks out for the best interests of your company.
A. Quarles CPA has handled my accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and tax needs for many years now. Their staff is absolutely amazing. Anita Quarles has assembled a team of superstars! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I'm so pleased with the level of service. The biggest time saver and best stress relief came after I made the decision to delegate all of my bookkeeping and payroll services to the firm. It definitely made a positive impact on my bottom line. Best business decision to date!
I have been doing business with A. Quarles CPA for years. They are prompt, professional, and great at what they do! I do not leave a lot of reviews online but this is definitely a business I would recommend to anyone looking for a great accounting and/or tax team.
As a residential real estate broker, my focus is on my clients: strategically and intensely marketing their homes and hosting events, maintaining consistent and frequent communication with clients other agents and related professionals, helping buyers find homes, negotiating contracts, etc, etc, etc. A Quarles CPA empowers me to be the best Realtor for my clients by taking care of my accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and tax needs. I strongly recommend this team.
Absolutely terrible experience! I had to constantly remind them to do my taxes and was fined because of them. They blamed it on staffing sickness for a year but were consistently disappointing and dropping the ball. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Stay away!!!!
Very poor communication regarding status of return. Tax preparer was not interested in discussing return. Name of tax preparer that was written on the tax return is not the person that actually prepared the return ?! I think H & R block would probably provide a more courteous and personal experience at less cost. Additionally, email is only addressed to the male household member. Excluding the female household member that is the actual contact person with the company is offensive and making a sexist statem
A. Quarles handles my tax returns every year and thank goodness -- I am terrible with numbers. I know that everything is correct and in line with IRS and state laws. Highly recommended.
I?ve used this company for my business accounting for many years. The thing I appreciate the most is the personal service. You?re not a number, you?re a person & they always have time for you. Very quick response & excellent tax accounts. They?ve gone above & beyond on many occasions.
As a business attorney in the triad, I regularly seek the expertise of Ms. Quarles and her team and highly recommend them to businesses who require the services of a trustworthy and reliable CPA.
I really enjoy working with them. Great staff and always ready with a solution.
I just work on their printing equipment but everyone is always friendly and pleasant to be around.
Why should I let bigots do my tax returns these greedy people are self absorbed...
Excellent experience! The team at A. Quarles CPA is top notch and knowledgeable.
Extremely capable professionally and always friendly service. Can only recommend highly!
The team at A. Quarles CPA are always so very helpful and the service is excellent .
The ladies and gentlemen at A. Quarles do an excellent job with our taxes.
Very personable staff! Great company to work with, and very professional.
Great team! Highly recommend!
Great organization, professional, helpful, smart, and responsive .
Fast and curtious and always ready to help!
Quick. Dependable. Easy to work with.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
