We have been using Accupay for a couple of months now, but we are extremely happy with the service. We had to switch our payroll company last minute and Accupay was the only company that did not waste our time, and got the job done right away. Their customer service is great, and the rep that we have been in contact with, Felix, is very knowledgeable. He has trained us on how to use the system and is a constant source of support. Thank you Accupay!
AccuPay is a fantastic company that understands payroll and they really know how to take care of their customers. My representative Felix is top notch and was very responsive to my needs and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend AccuPay systems to handle your payroll and HR needs.
We are a small but growing business, and needed a reliable and cost-efficient partner to help manage our payroll and HR needs. Luckily we found AccuPay about 3-years ago. They have done a commendable job in managing our filings, automating a lot of processes for us, and keeping us "worry-free" from any tax filing issues. Both Ryan and Felix are very easy to work with, and our concerns or questions are addressed promptly and correctly. I highly recommend AccuPay systems to meet your payroll and/or HR servic
Our company has been using Accupay for our 1099 needs for many years and their payroll service for the past 18 months. The customer service we have received has been tremendous and we would highly recommend this company. They go out of their way to make sure we are satisfied with their payroll reports as well as any other report we might need. Another plus is that if you need to call or email, their response time is almost immediate.
We have had a great experience using Accupay for our small business. Accupay has simplified and streamlined a tedious process, allowing us to focus on our core operations. We have always had prompt and excellent service from Felix and the rest of the Accupay staff.
I've been using AccuPay Systems for payroll and 1099s since the mid 1980s. It's always been a very easy, accurate, efficient and cost-effective way to process payroll tax returns and 1099 forms. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and able to assist with special situations and requests.
We have had a great experience working with Accupay. We had a smooth transition and Felix made everything very easy to manage and understand. We look forward to a long time working with Accupay.
We have been using Accupay Systems since January of 2016. They have excellent customer service, are always on top of our payroll needs. They are always quick to respond to any request and any of my questions are answered in a timely manner and very accurately. Wendy PWLA
Excellent support from Accupay. This is my first encounter with Accupay payroll system to process a small payroll although I have used the after-the-fact payroll system for many years. It is a good economic alternative to Paychex, ADP or a bank payroll.
Excellent customer service. All the staff (especially Felix) is friendly and available to answer questions. They have gone out of their way to keep us happy with their flexibility and timely service. I cannot say enough about how helpful everyone has been with me. I would highly recommend AccuPay to everyone. They truly go over and beyond.
We have used AccuPay for over a year. We are very happy with the ease of use of the system and the responsiveness of the staff. Highly recommend them!
They are fantastic. Their website is easy to use. Their customer service is outstanding. Every email I have sent has been responded to within the hour with either a reply or a phone call. They were incredibly patient with us when we were adding new hires to a last minute payroll. I was panicking and they acted like it was no big deal.
I can say Felix , Ryan and the team are very professional , quick follow up and easy going, I would highly recommend AccuPay Systems

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
