Have filed two years now with Adamson & Company and unfortunately have not had a great experience either year. Communication was poor (I was having to follow up to make sure things were completed). Last year, everything was done right at the last minute which was stressful as I was rushed to get things done in the final days prior to the April deadline. I gave them another shot as I thought it was a one-off and gave benefit of the doubt. This year was even worse. I kept periodically checking in to make
As great as the reviews are, i did not have the same experience. I was looking for someone who could give me a second opinion on my tax filing for 2023. I dropped off all the needed paperwork to have them look at. I was told once they reviewed everything i would get a call back. I didn?t hear back from them for 4 weeks. The receptionists were really sweet and kept transferring me to the accountant who was gonna take a look for me but was never able to speak with her just her voicemail. I never spoke to her
I have trusted the process of my income tax returns to this company for over 20 years. Adamson & Company LLC has gone above and beyond their duty to help me personally and in my business.
Absolutely amazing. Great customer service, professional and efficient! We have trusted the whole team for 3-years. Thanks, Craig!
As the owner of a law firm with several streams of revenue unique to our practice of law, Craig Adamson, his partners, and staff took the time to listen to our unique business profile and do things right. His staff is outstanding: responsive, friendly, warm and professional. We went through several other CPA's in Corpus Christi before finding Adamson. I regret not finding him sooner--I could have saved much more money and made more money with what I saved!
Adamson CPA?s and in particular Jeremy Moore helped me close out an LLC and I couldn?t be more pleased and impressed with the knowledge and efficiency at which Mr. Moore operated with. Jeremy walked me through the whole process from start to finish and got right to work and delivered a final product was very impressive and the quality of which Would be hard to match if not impossible! Thanks again to the team at Adamson and a HUGE thanks to Mr. Moore.
I got my tax information in late this year, and had trouble getting everything sent over digitally. The staff was so helpful and patient and got everything posted on time, with no taxes due. BRAVO !!!
Craig and Austin Adamson are the best guys I know! They care and do one heck of a job. I highly recomend their firm!
Mr. Adamson spoke to attendees at our conference on February 29. He was thorough and provided great information. Great speaker! Thank you!
I have used Adamson & Company for personal and business taxes for year. Very professional and responsive. Have always been pleased with their service.
I have worked with other firms, and Adamson & Co. is the best by far! I wouldn't trust anyone else to keep my accounts in order.
Searching was no problem
We have been coming to Adamson & Co for over 10 years. They have taken great care of our account.
Best place I?ve used for all my tax fillings. Since 2019
Adamson has assembled a talented team that works well together to deliver high quality, personalized accounting.
Awesome CPA firm !! If you are a business in need of a CPA look no further.
Very friendly staff and best place to file tax returns
Don?t bother calling unless you are an existing client... Doesn?t matter that you want to be a client and just moved to the area.
Always prompt and accurate on my personal and business tax returns.

Great Service, and Great People!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
