I got better educated about how mortgage companies ply their trade. If you don't have funds to cover the cost of availing their services, let them know right away. Work on getting your own third party appraisers to get better valuation for your property. They were fairly accessible and at times can be too aggressive as expected from salespeople. If you're not too sensitive or if you can be emotionally detached with the process, conversations can be cordial and informative. Good luck.
