Customer Reviews

It was my pleasure working with Jeffrey. He is very responsive and organized. He provides good advice and works quickly. I definitely recommend him and will reach out to his office next year.

Jeff has done my business + personal + family tax filings for a few years now. I couldn't be happier with the tech forward, efficient, transparent process, the support I receive when I don't understand, and the straight forward approach he takes to his business. I appreciate the patience he has with me but also the truth I need to hear about the actions I take with my money.

AllanTaylor charges $600 to file taxes that's ok but they missed a child credit of $500. That's not good at all! Besides Jeff is an unpleasant and rude individual, I am not an accountant and I am supposed to check for errors. No responsibility, blame the client. Next tax year I will be looking for a different service.

Jeffrey Allan Taylor is by far the best accountant I have ever had. He is incredibly meticulous and knowledgeable and will relentlessly advocate for you to maximize savings and resolve issues while being ethical and adhering to the law. As a former IRS employee, he is adept in navigating the tax system as efficiently as possible and is informed on the latest changes and even crytpocurrency. He provides a high level of personalized service, responds promptly, bills fairly, and treats you with respect. Recomm

Jeff Taylor is extremely professional. He has helped us in many areas. We first met Jeff this past tax season. Our son recommended him when we needed help straightening out a huge mess that our previous tax person had left us with for the past 2 years. We also had to have an accountant as well as current tax preparation. I dare say I?ve never had anyone with as much knowledge prepare our taxes. Jeff is truly a guy that cares about his clients personally as well as professionally. Anytime I?ve ever cal

It was a pleasure doing business with them! They know how to take care of their clients. Their attention to detail, abundance of knowledge, and thank goodness for me, a great amount of patience is why I know, not only will I return to do my taxes with them, but I will also highly recommend anyone to do the same.

Jeff brings immense value to the table for his clients. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he makes talking about accounting& tax fun! (who knew??) and always goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are getting the absolute fairest price. He is communicative, friendly, qualified, and takes the extra time to explain to his clients things in a way that makes sense to them, not that make sense to an accountant. If you are an individual or small business who needs any type of tax / accounting

Jeff is without a doubt the most responsive, efficient, and helpful accountant I?ve worked with. I previously suffered through 3 different CPAs who were slow to respond and left me/my business with error-ridden tax filings. Thank goodness for Jeff, who not only corrected previous tax and accounting issues, but also advised me through the infinite challenges of starting a business. He remains my go-to person for tax and financial consulting for my businesses, and on top of it all, he?s a hell of a nice guy!

Jeff is an excellent CPA. His knowledge of tax laws in multiple states and tax regulations is superior. He kept in touch all the time. Even after my taxes were completed he called just to ask if everything was good. I recommended him to my mother in law who also loves him. She called to get a tax extension the day taxes were due and Jeff took his time to answer all her questions and filed the extension He will be my tax guy for years to come Thank You

If you need your Tax Return or Amended Return filed in a timely manner with a professional CPA who has extensive knowledge of tax law, is a competent individual, and is well versed with the IRS, then don?t hesitate to call Mr. Taylor. My husband and I were very impressed with Mr. Taylor?s communication skills and how he quickly worked through our return, finishing the corrections within minutes and filing via the IRS portal. Mr.Taylor is so efficient, he prepared our paper copy before we left his office.

I had used other CPA's in the past and I was never satisfied with any of them. Once I found Jeff I now have my CPA for all my tax needs for now and going forward! I recommended him to my friends and family- he is thorough and professional and very easy to work with.

I received great service from AllanTaylor, CPA. Jeff answered my call one day and completed my business tax return the next. He was very professional, answered all my questions, addressing all of my concerns. I will definitely be using his services in the future.

AllanTaylor is my 3rd attempt at finding a reliable and honest accountant to help with my books. He should have been my first and only call. Jeffrey goes above and beyond for his clients. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Jeff is an amazing CPA, he goes above and beyond the call of duty. He is professional and extremely knowledgeable. Jeff?s level of ethics are very admirable and he makes sure I keep everything on the straight and narrow. I highly recommend his services!

Jeff was pleasant and informative to work with. He made me feel like there were no stupid questions. He?s helped me and my family with personal and business taxes, as well as advising other financial decisions. Highly recommend. 11/10 stars

Absolutely fantastic experience. Communication was fantastic and their portal makes filing so simple! 1000x better than anyone I?ve used in the past. Cost was reasonable and it was done very quickly! Will definitely go back next year.

Jeffery was very professional and explained everything throughly. He puts me at rest knowing I can rely on him to take care of my business finances . It's very nice these days to have someone who cares about their clients and takes the time to answer any questions . I highly recommend his services !

I've used Jeff's services several times now and have even referred my family members. I am extremely happy with the service provided to me and the quick responses without talking circles around my head. His knowledge has helped my family save money we didn't know was available to us!

Jeff is one of the most helpful CPAs I talked to. Very open and to the point. A no nonsense accountant is exactly who I want in my corner. Jeff will be my accountant should anything else come up in the future. Thanks for the help Jeff!

IRS came after me hard. They started out wanting 125k from me. Mr Taylor went to work and made them submit. I ended up owing nothing to the IRS. Easy to see why I would recommend him for your tax needs.

Quick solutions, swift answers and very fair fees (compared to my last accountant). Excellent answers for any concerns I had. Got my LLC up and running and explained everything that needed to be done to save me money. Any questions or concerns are just an email away. Thanks, Jeff!

It was great doing business with Mr Taylor. He is very professional and answered all of my tax questions. I was referred to him and will certainly do business with him again. Highly recommend!

We have done business with Mr. Taylor for over 3 years. Each project we asked him to complete was done on time, on budget with excellent quality. I would highly recommend him for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications should I look for in a CPA?

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.

How do I find a CPA in my area?

Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant?

A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.

How do I know if a CPA specializes in my needs?

Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.

Should I check a CPA’s reviews before hiring?

Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.

How can I verify a CPA’s license?

Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.

What questions should I ask during a CPA consultation?

Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.

How much should I expect to pay for a CPA’s services?

Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.

Can I work with a CPA remotely?

Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.

How do I assess a CPA’s communication skills?

During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.

What red flags should I watch for when screening a CPA?

Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.

Should I choose a CPA from a large firm or a solo practitioner?

Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.

Can a CPA help with both personal and business finances?

Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my CPA?

Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
