We had an amazing experience with Lisa and her team! From phone calls to scheduling to walking through the door, everything was seamless and so welcoming. We never felt like an inconvenience or burden with our countless questions?instead, they made us feel like family. Lisa and her office staff provided exceptional service, and we?re genuinely excited to work with her for our taxes and financial planning needs. It?s clear we were referred to the best of the best! I have been working with the staff at Allen & Bright for over 15 years now. Lisa and her staff are the best. I moved from Douglasville to Southern California 9 years ago and refuse to use anyone but Allen & Bright. The staff is attentive to my situation and all really work hard to ensure the customer is taken care of and heard. You really can?t go wrong with this group at all.
I have been using Allen & Bright for 3 years, and my CPA is Lisa Allen. I couldn't be any happier with the level of service they've provided me, and Lisa and other members of the firm have been both personable and professional. I have complete confidence in their work and product. They've made me feel like a valued client, and from my perspective, it's been a great client/business experience.
I would recommend Allen & Bright PC to any, and every individual, small business, and corporation in the world! This firm is truly amazing, and absolutely professional from every aspect of the company. I want to send a special thank you to Leslie, and Lisa for providing us with great tax advice, and for reconciling my business account correctly, and efficiently. Often times we don't consider all the work that CPA's, accountants, and other tax professionals have to do or deal with in order to keep our busine
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Allen & Bright Accounting/CPA firm. They are an excellent bunch who really care that you are getting the most accurate assessment of your tax situation. They are kind and very responsive to any and all questions that come there ways. They are also great with the advice they provide about tax strategies and helps each individual understand, based on their unique situation, what you need to be thinking about for the upcoming year as well as how to handle life chan
This is an unbiased review of my "new" CPA Firm I recently sold my business of ten years. On top of this I had 3 years of back tax filings that needed to be prepared quickly. The staff at Allen & Bright made all of this painless. They are professional and helpful. The value for what they provide is "PRICELESS". I highly recommend them to anyone from basic tax preparation to the most complex needs. Please give them a try. You will not be disappointed.
Lisa and her staff have been handling all of mine, and my family's tax needs for well over 20 years. Her advice and guidance has been invaluable. I have moved several times over those years, but I always go to Allen & Bright for all my business, and personal tax services as well as advice on how to handle any issues involving finances.
I have worked with Allen and Bright for 3 years now. They are so great! Very easy to deal with and helpful! They do not waste my time but are willing to take the time to help me and my partner. I would and have recommended them to many people. Their staff is great and it is always pleasant speaking with them.
I found Allen & Bright soon after my husband died. I was very confused and overwhelmed. They were kind and always professional. Their communication was great and their listening skills are highly advanced. I was very pleased with the interaction and the work they did. I recommend them highly.
Allen & Bright, PC have been preparing our taxes for several years now, and they have been consistently first rate. Everything you ask for is addressed and promptly completed. Thanks , Lisa , and your team, for your service. You have inspired trust and eliminated stress associated with the tax season, for Charlotte and I. Jim and Charlotte
We have been clients of Allen and Bright for more than 10 years. The whole team is professional, attentive and friendly. We have some special requirements that the team handles without missing a beat. Great group, with wonderful leadership!
Working with Allen and Bright has a been a relief. In the past my accounting was a mess because I would ignore it for most of the year. But now that I've been able to work with Lisa Allen, my accounts and taxes stay up to date quarterly. It is much easier and less stressful at tax season thanks to their help.
Allen & Bright, PC have prepared our tax returns since 2015.. These people are wonderful! You can always reach someone and get your calls returned promptly. Very professional, yet personable. I highly recommend them. Mary Gifford
Working with Lisa was great. Everyone was very professional and helpful. More importantly, the experience and knowledge that these women have under their belts was comforting. I knew that my taxes were being filed timely and accurately. As long as they are open, they have us as customers.
A friend recommended Allen & Bright to me and I am so glad she did. We have had previous CPA's from Atlanta to Smyrna & I feel like we have found a company we can stay with and have confidence we are getting looked after with all our tax needs. I am so happy I will no longer need to shop around for a CPA.
Finding an accountant in Atlanta, a city of millions of people, shouldn't be hard but it sure was. I had a lingering tax issue from 2 years ago, as well as a regular w2 job and a side business. I reached out to 4 different accounting firms for tax help, basically saying take my money if you can help me. None of them wanted to help. Lisa was entirely different. We reached out to her out of the blue in February, and we had an appointment within a week. She took us on right before the big busy tax season
If there was a 0 stars option, I would?ve selected it. We decided to hire Lisa based on positive ratings only to be swindled by a fraudulent *expletive* that couldn?t bother herself to respond to two detailed, and very time sensitive emails. When I reached out for a third time to request a refund for the 500$ deposit less the minimal time she spent requesting our transcripts from the IRS, she had to audacity to say ?I thought we were on the same page? .. HOW?! Because in the reality I live in (ya know, the
The best way to describe Allen & Bright is a 20+ year relationship through IRS audits and all. A business relationship that has grown to a true friendship. They are part of our family.
I love Allen & Bright they take good care of me and my taxes, Lisa makes sure all of my personal and business paper work is Organized and Professional.
With such good reviews I decided to call and make an appointment to have my taxes done. Left messages for two days and never received a call back. They must be too busy for new business. Since then I have found a new CPA office.
This team is helpful, friendly, and very professional. They really understand and focus on the importance of customer service. All of my questions and concerns were promptly answered during my visits or over the phone. They provide that invaluable peace of mind that's needed when your concerned about income tax returns being done right.
I had an excellent experience with Allen & Bright. I will certainly be using their services again in the future for any tax preparation needs I have!
Lisa Allen and the staff at Allen & Bright do a great job. They are thorough and on top of the new laws that affect my taxes.
Excellent professionals. They have taken care of me and my family for the past 3 years. Each experience was perfect with attention to details, they are not afraid to ask questions and listen to your needs. I will continue to seek their professional advice in the future.

Experienced, nice, accessible, and fast. We have found our tax team at Allen & Bright.
The staff was very friendly. As a new client, the staff here took great care of me as if I was family. & The results were phenomenal! I will definitely return here for here on out!
Always helpful, always there. Very knowledgeable, stands by their work, willing to give advice, the kind of support you need in your corner during a divorce.
I was very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of Allen and Bright and will be using their services in the future.
Allen and Bright is a First class group. They go the second mile for clients.
Been a client both personally and corporately for decades...simply the best, most prompt and reasonable service in accounting in the area.
More like family than a CPA firm. Love Um!!!
Simply the best! I highly recommend them.
Too expensive, not willing to go the extra mile.
Great work on complicated tax prep.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
