Ascend is awesome! Ron and his team are meticulous and extremely detailed in going about their work. The team is always friendly and punctual. Juanita too is a gem to work with. Cannot recommend this company enough! While I rarely do reviews, I'm excited to do this for them. Keep up the great work Ascend team!
Ron Harris has been my Las Vegas CPA for years, and I believe he is the best when it comes to tax planning and organizing both personal and business taxes. His staff is super friendly and helpful. In a town where professionalism and kindness can be hard to find, his office truly stands out.
Ron Harris with Ascend was ah-mazing! He took the time to thoroughly help me with my taxes and genuinely cares. Funny how you can just get the feel that someone actually cares and is doing all they can to help, over a phone call. But this is a quality Ron definitely possess! His prices were also very reasonable. The office staff were great as well! I will definitely refer them to friends and family as well as continuing to use them for future years to come! Thanks Ron & Ascend!!!
Ronn Harris and his staff were so incredibly helpful in helping me with my taxes this year. It was such a relief to find a team that is so organized and professional throughout each step of filing my taxes. I?m actually so excited to meet with them again next year during tax season and I?ve already rendered a few of my friends and family! I would 1000% recommend Ronn Harris for all your tax needs!

If you are looking for a patient, professional CPA that can navigate through your disorganization, Ron Harris with Ascend CPA & Advisors is the best! I had knots in my stomach coming from the last company I was currently using. It is never to late to get organized and feel confident with who you chose to handle your business, create a plan for your business, and always be compliant. Ron and his team went above and beyond to fix my past situation to help me save, organize and streamline everything quic
I have had Ron and Ascend do our work for over 19 years and they have done a fantastic job. I think I've done perhaps two other recommendations for different types of companies, but was compelled to give this one especially this year because of how hard they went the extra mile to get our return done when I was in a jam to submit to another entity. I gave them my information late, but the office staff acted pleasant and diligent in getting everything done. Much respect for such a great operation! Highly
This is my fifth year with Ron and his team and they?ve provided the same excellent service each year. From the front desk to his assistant to Ron himself - nothing but promptness, smiles and great communication! Highly recommend.
This office prepares and advices in the area of taxes. The parking space for the office is ok but could be tight depending on the time of day. Ron has done my taxes for a long time and is very helpful. His staff is professional. It is suggested to make a appointment to discuss tax issues.
5 star service!! Staffs were friendly and professional. Beth-Front Desk was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Ron was one of the best accountant I?ve had. He was very presentable and professional! This is my first year with them and I didn?t have to wait for HOURS to do my taxes.!! compare to other places.
I have been a loyal client of Ascend CPA & Advisors for years and they never cease to go above and beyond my expectations. Ron and his team are always professional, attentive, and give you the personal attention you deserve. They exhibit a level of customer service that is rare to find these days and for that, I am so grateful. Ron, Natasha, everyone, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Ron Harris and his team made my visit so easy every time I go . I?ve been working with Ron for years now and every time I go he makes sure I have the best return possible and not once I?ve ever had any issues with the IRS. I highly recommend coming here if you want great service ! 10 stars out of 5!
We have had our taxes done by Ron Harris since 2000 and have recommended his firm to many of our friends and they were all very pleased with the service. We won't go any where else.
I have done my taxes with Ron since 2015. He?s very knowledgeable and takes the time to help me understand. I have and would continue to recommend his services to anyone I know!
Thank you so much Ron!!! I had a number of hiccups in processing my return but Ron came in and worked wonders! I appreciate his courtesy and efficiency. He was amazing to work with. Thanks again!
I have utilized Mr. Harris' firm, Ascend CPAs & Advisors for over a decade. He has set up my corporation, filed my business taxes, worked with the IRS on my behalf, and filed my personal taxes. Mr. Harris is a very proficient, professional and competent CPA. His professional fees are very reasonable. He always takes time to explain every detail and any questions I may have. I would highly recommend Mr. Harris' CPA firm to anyone in need of business, personal or other financial assistance.
Ron is the best CPA I have ever know. His financial knowledge is priceless. I would highly recommend his services for all of your accounting needs. I will be a client for life.
I had a great experience with Ascend. They explained everything so well and were very professional. Taxes can be overwhelming, but Ascend helped me understand what was best for me and my business. Highly recommend!
To file the forms necessary to register my Florida Corp to do business in Nevada I agreed to pay Mr Harris $100.00 plus I gave him a retainer fee of $300..00 (total $400.00) Mr Harris filed the form with the NV Secretary of State three times. Each time it came back rejected because of mistakes. The third filing contained my forged signatures. I informed Mr Harris that I I filed the form myself and asked for my refund of $400.00. Three weeks later I received a check for $200.00 I have filed a complaint aga

Super happy I decided to let this guy do my taxes. I would have been completely screwed had I done that myself or let anybody else do them, especially H&R Block
These guys are amazing! Always warm and inviting. They have helped me and my business more times than I can count!
Love these people. They take great care with taxes & offer many options to help your dollars grow.
This team and professionalism is the worst . Always Late , gives incorrect advice, it appears everyone in the office doesn't communicate together as they never seem to be on the same page . The admin is always confused , frazzled and sometimes curt . They Make the mistake , YOU suffer for it !....again..your inability to pay attention ...it's MR.....Mrs Tino is still keeping her Korean name .

They are very professional and very knowable with accounting and taxes. They helped me with my Dad's Estate taxes when I could not get my Illinois home town accountant to help me.

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
