I feel very fortunate to have found Best Team Tax. I was suddenly in the market for a new accountant and I couldn?t be more pleased. There was personal attention noted from the setup of the first appointment. Even though I was a first year client it felt like I had been going there for years. Sue and her team knocked it out of the park with my refund. She was sure to maximize every detail, and the savings to me from years prior was amazing. $ In short?they know their business. I?ll be coming back. Well d
Stopped in without a appt and was taken in with a smile! Office has a great vibe and the crew are all knowledgeable and friendly. Sue is an amazing woman she maximized my refund and gave me lots of great advice and giggles! I highly appreciate and recommend her and will be returning for years to come! Thank you Sue and team Found my new tax ladies!
I got my taxes done here by Suzanne. She was very friendly, professional and efficient! She went above and beyond to get me the best refund possible. It was a great experience and I highly recommend coming here. You won?t be disappointed!
Finally found a tax person that takes the stress out of doing taxes!!! The cost is just about what you would pay for TurboTax. I would definitely suggest this business, years of experience and friendly people
Sue is absolutely amazing! She is a true professional and knows taxes inside and out. She helped me tremendously, even assisting me in incorporating my business.
Met with Sue for the first time today. She was so great. Answered all the questions we had about my husbands business plan and helped weigh our options. She helped us with all the tax questions we had and helped guide us in the correct direction of obtaining old tax documents needed from the IRS and state from 8-10 years ago. She spent over an hour with us and explained everything needed. Very thankful we found her and will absolutely be using her for all our accounting and tax needs!
Sue at Best Team Tax Consulting Group has been our tax preparer for the last three years and we are very happy with her work. Our taxes are fairly convoluted for the average tax payer and she has carefully and more importantly, successfully prepared our taxes. I highly recommend Sue if you are in the market to find a reliable and most capable tax preparer.
My husband and I met with Sue after she was recommended to us by one of her former students. My husband is self-employed and we had a lot of life changes over the past year. She is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience. She did such a great job on our taxes that we plan to use her services every year! Thanks Sue!
We were referred to Sue from another small business owner. We met with Sue last week and she took the entire hour to get to know our business and tax needs. We appreciate her spending quality time with us and we look forward to working with her for tax prep and accounting.
I had the best experience with Sue handling my taxes. She is so knowledgeable, very patient and share ideas and her knowledge with you . Really pleasant conversation with her. She?ll be my new tax person. Totally recommend her for your taxes matters.
Just had my taxes done by Sue, she is great. If you are having troubles with your taxes and need someone to help get you through than you better call Sue. I hadn't filed my 2014 taxes and here it was time to file my 2015's. The state was sending their nice demand letters (ha ha) for my returns. She jumped right in and started preparing my taxes. The state didn't bother her at all. She called to let them know she was in the middle of preparing my taxes and they would be filed soon. She filed both years for
I highly recommend Sue Werden to prepare taxes. I have had her do my taxes for the past 3 years and she is smart! Sue set me up so that I don't have to worry about anything, all automatic withdrawals. Could not be happier with such a smart, nice tax lady!
We have been seeing Sue for couple years now for our taxes. She is the only person we can trust with our paperworks. She is so helpful with all the questions you have and she has tons of experience to help you in hard situations. Come see Sue and get the best tax refund you could ever get.
My regular accountant made horrendous mistakes on my 2016 taxes which put my family and I in financial turmoil. a good friend told me to see her accountant Sue Werden is "AMAZING!" After meeting Sue I knew my friend was right. finding the right accountant is like finding a good reliable car mechanic. Sue is so knowledgeable and kind and she will work extremely hard and go the extra mile. she made corrections, gave amazing advice, and put my family and I to ease. From now on I will only let one person work
I regret spending my money with suetaxgirl. I will not recommend her to anyone. If you don't listen to me. you will learn the hard way. Most of these positive reviews have not dealt with a real legit account that will get to the bottom of every expense, and clean your book out real nice. If you are a business owner, stay away. Thank me later.
Absolutely one of the worse services I have ever gotten from ANY company. I was drawn to Best Team Tax because of the glowing reviews but I regret choosing them. I am one-and-a-half years behind on my books and I contacted Best Team Tax to get caught up so I could apply for funding for my business as well as do my taxes. Because I needed funding, all of a sudden having my books in order became a pressing issue for me and I needed someone who could do them promptly. Suzane asked for me to send copies of all
I have called many places regarding if I need to file taxes on my SSI disability regarding the stimulus check. Sue, was an absolute angel by actually telling me the truth from the IRS site. An amazing caring lady which is hard to find. Most places wanted a $100.00 to file 0 income to speed up the stimulas check and said it had to be filed in order to receive the money. Sue read it right from the IRS site and assured me I DO NOT HAVE TO FILE as long as I have a bank account. If I could Sue 10 stars I would.
The minute I walked in the office..I felt welcome and immediately I met Suzanne and i felt at ease ...She listens and knows exactly how to help ..She likes. No nonsense and gets right to work ..!!!! She isa expertise account and keeps it real !!!! Very professional!!!!!The best tax consultant I ever experienced and I highly recommend her ...
I will not recommend Suzanne Werden for any tax or bookkeeping. PLS. TAKE MY ADVICE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. If you are an entrepreneur, pls. stay away from her. I asked her to do my bookkeeping and tax. she charged be over, 2600usd. She did not separate my expenses properly, she told me to go home and do it myself and she will do the rest. She did not email me to ask about zelle or wire transfer transactions. Not only that, but she mix everything together however she likes. Furthermore, she did not provide
Worst place to do your taxes. Didn?t receive my tax refund. She messed up my taxes. First she said I will get a refund and called her after a month to check she said that I have to pay $2k. I?m like okay thanks for not letting me know. I called her again to process my application but she wouldn?t pick up because she?s on vacation. Now I have to pay interest and late fees to the IRS all because she didn?t know how to do her job properly.
Suzanne is the BEST! She explained everything, knew exactly what we needed to do and got us the refund we hoped for. We decided on the spot to never go anywhere else. She?s even going to do some light bookkeeping for our business. I?m actually looking forward to tax time next year and I?ve NEVER said that before!
Best Team Tax Consulting Group has given me the best tax service of all the people I have ever used. I have received the best guidance and explanations of what has to be done, why it has to be done and what to avoid doing. I appreciate the direct, no-nonsense interaction I receive, the attention to my needs and the results, when finished.
Suzanne Werden is definitely the most knowledgeable and comprehensive accountant that has ever worked on my taxes. I highly recommend her for personal and business tax matters. Thank you Suzanne for everything you have done to help me.
I had to call 7 times to talk with the accountant 3 weeks after she failed to submit my taxes. I was promised a "callback" 3 different times and never received a call back. I was in limbo for almost a month, not knowing the status of my return or even if I was getting a return. Absolutely ridiculous.
Absolutely agree with all the negative reviews. Doesn't return calls or emails, does filings incorrectly and should retire. The BBB & IRS need look into her business soon to put an end to customers having to deal with this corrupt company.
Sue is always available and knowledgeable, went to her for Accounting consultation and was honest and informative, will definitely recommend best team..
I truly recommend doing your taxes herewith Sue she is the best! I've been going for 3 years now and I will for sure go with her next year !
This is my second year going to best tax team and Suzanne always makes my experience quick and easy. Definitely recommend! Thank you!!!
Sue is extremely thorough in her approach to tax preparation. Not only is she knowledgeable, she is also a fantastic person!

They are doing above and beyond.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
