Have used Boca Accounting for years. Rich is the absolute best. Extremely knowledgable and professional. Great person and great at his job!
I will start by saying, this is an honest review from multiple pleasurable and effective experiences I have had working with Boca Accounting. I came to Rich and Ted with my company that I had grown very quickly and which was in need of speedy, creative and effective tax filings. We we not only behind on filing our taxes, but also had a LOT of moving parts which many tax agents previous were not able to manage or understand to perform a comprehensive, accurate and fair tax filling for our company. Not only
We have been with Boca Accounting for at least 12 years, Best move we ever made. Both Richard and Ted are very knowledgeable and willing to make sure you keep as much of your money as you can. We had many accountants before them, we will never have another one. Our joke is they can't retire or die!!! Call them today, you won't be sorry.
Boca Accounting has done an amazing job for us on our taxes the last few years. Rich is super easy to work with and knows his stuff. I'd highly recommend!
I have been working with Ted at Boca Accounting for several years. He has been extremely helpful and awesome to work with. He has maximized my possible tax returns and caught things that online self filing sites, such as Turbo Tax, would never catch. Highly recommend their services!
Boca Accounting has done all our tax filings for many years now for our various businesses, and constantly does a fantastic job! We are not based in Florida, and Rich and Ted continuously have to learn the different accounting laws and various things from state to state , they are always up to date on the new additions to the tax law in Texas and what they do not know they will find out. We will continue to use Boca Accounting and would highly recommend.
We have worked with Boca Accounting for 15+ years and they are great. They are knowledgeable, very trustworthy, and experienced. We wouldn?t go with anyone else for our taxes-personal and corporate, as well as payroll. Their advice is always spot on. Highly recommend.
I have been with this firm for years now. We found them while Rich was in Tennessee and we have never looked back. Best accountant we have EVER had and trust me we have had A LOT of accountants. They are amazing, fast & courteous. I never have to worry about anything as far as our books are concerned.. I jokingly tell Rich he is not allowed to die or retire because he is the very best. You want a firm that will save you money and do right by you.. Look no further this is it!
I was referred to Boca accounting from my attorney as I am handling my parents estate. They have been a pleasure to deal with from the start. Super helpful, answered all my questions, had the return done in a timely manor, and affordable. The difference between them and the accountant my parents used is night and day. I highly recommend using Boca Accounting for any future services you may need
I have known Ted Pioquinto for many years. We had worked together on the audits and reviews of the condominium I managed. I have found Ted to be very professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, detailed and organized. His firm Boca Accounting has over 40 years experience. I would highly recommend Boca Accounting, LLC for all your accounting needs!!
I was referred to Boca Accounting last fall. Was dreading moving to a new accountant after many years with previous one. Ted provided us a worry free transition and a quite satisfactory new tax filing. I suggest anyone looking for accounting services seek speak with Boca Accounting prior to finalizing their decision.
We have been with Boca Accounting for the past 20 years for our business and personal accounting. Always accessible for help and support. Highly recommend if you want capable, friendly and professional service. The BEST all around.
I was introduced to Rich from one of his clients this year. The tax filing could not have gone smoother. Rich Is an outstanding professional and cannot be more responsive. It was a pleasure working with Rich. I highly recommend him.
I have been a client of Boca Accounting for over a decade. They have provided me with outstanding personal and professional tax, accounting and general financial services. I highly recommend Boca Accounting for all of your financial needs!!
Could not be more pleased with professionalism and service. Have used a Boca Accounting for all my business and personal needs for years. Very honest and trusted. We never consider using anyone else Tom and Barbara Willson
When an accountant complains about not liking to take extra time to look into the details because it slows down his business, I wouldn't trust them as a good accountant. We came here looking for help for our non-profit (it wasn't a simple case, but it wasn't hard) and it was clearly to overwhelming for someone who has made this their career. To then get an final response of "non of my tax friends like doing 990s, so I have no recommendations for you"....very sad. Time to retire, Richard.
Brandon has been an amazing person to wok with. I would recommend to anyone! Easy to work with and know his stuff.
Rich Grassano has done my taxes for over 35 years and for many years they were not particularly simple. I recommend him and his company to anyone--taxes simple or not.
I highly recommend Boca Accounting LLC. Ted is very responsive, helpful, and makes getting my taxes done easy and painless.
I know that any client I refer to Boca Accounting will receive the best advice possible....and I can say that with confidence having known them for many years!
Excellent firm with quick response time for my many questions. They handle everything so I can practice law. I have referred to many times over the years. Highest endorsement.
Rich is an outstanding CPA! He can & will meet or exceed your expectations for any accounting or tax problems!!
Very professional accounting firm. They have a dedicated team to help with all your accounting needs. I would recommend to anyone looking for accounting services.
Very professional and knowledgeable, prompt to respond to any questions. I would definitely recommend Boca Accounting!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
