Hector and the team at Bonilla Accounting have always been helpful and provided great honest service especially with Hector's expertise and knowledge. The reason I keep coming back is more than just the business, it's the interaction and relationship. They genuinely care and treat you like family. These types of experiences are very few and far between.
I have nothing but the upmost respect and appreciation towards Hector Bonilla, family, and the Bonilla crew! This team is always on their game from my payroll to my taxes and everything in between! They have Answer to any of my questions and concerns! They return my calls, emails, texts, etc in a heartbeat! Hector got me out of a jam that I was in and I will never forget it for as long as I live! Every time I walk through their doors they treat me like family I couldn't ask for anything more! I recomme
Great service, affordable, knowledgeable. Got me out of trouble many times. Our relationship ship is mostly through phone and emails due to my move away from their office, but still works great virtually. They do my personal and business tax returns.
Our company has been beyond pleased with the services provided by Bonilla Accounting Firm. They are always there when we need them, they are pleasant and efficient and to our delight have always surprised us with great returns!! Highly recommended to anyone looking!!
My experience with Bonilla Accounting Firm has been nothing but disappointment. Not only are they over priced but they are also sloppy. It has now been almost 5 weeks since my forms were submitted to Bonilla Accounting Firm. I called the accounting firm to ask about the situation I found myself in. Apperantly, my tax return was not submitted to the IRS until 3 1/2 weeks after they were supposed to be. When I called they gave me nothing but fake excuses as to why they were not submitted promptly. They initia
First time using Bonilla Accounting and could not be more pleased. Hector and crew were very responsive to my questions, assisted me with details they needed to complete my return and I will definitely use them again.
The best Hector was excellent . It was a great relief not to have a tax lien and I actually got money back. I recommend bonillo act to all my friends. Its A five star service.
He needs to update and adapt his business scheme or else he will succumb to the online amicable plethora of online options. Poor customer service, misses deadlines, runaround, doesn't return calls. First time customer most likely the last .
Act like they are they to help you then when they find out they can't make money off them they just throw you to the side I was promised a family type environment yet when I faced complications rocio said there was nothing they could do for me. Really a fake environmenthorrible customer service from Rocio whatever you do don't trust anything they say they told me they could atleast set up a payment plan but then said they don't offer that there basically a slap in the face horrible horrible service 0 stars
The Bonillas have serviced our business well. When issues arise (and they do!), the firm jumps on them immediately and finds solutions. We appreciate them!
They are amazing very friendly and actually take the time to answer questions and address any concerns.Very professional and goes the extra mile to help His clients .I recommend only bonillo accounting and no one else for my taxes.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your service and patience with me as I called you every week to follow up. You always provide me with the best return possible and for that I am grateful.
Great firm, I been working with them for the last 17 years as my accounting firm for my corporation
Hector is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
