Brian Daley did an excellent job on my tax returns. I was very pleased, this time around I was going to be owing a good deal to the IRS, however, with Brains knowledge he was able to greatly reduce the amount I owed. He also gave me fantastic advice on my side business and how to navigate the future with it. I highly recommend Brian Daley.
I highly recommend Brian. When we had a large amount due to the IRS Brian took us on in the middle of tax season when other tax services wouldn't due to "press of business". Brian and his staff went all out for us to meet a tax deadline and to represent us to the IRS. Thanks to Brian's expertise in dealing with the IRS, and his knowledge of tax law, we ended up getting a refund. Throughout the process, which took a bit of time on the IRS's part, Brian and his staff were with us all the way.
I wholeheartedly recommend Brian Daley for all your accounting needs. I am completely confident in his Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Professionalism .Brian has been my advisor for 14 years. Brian Daley is someone who is totally trustworthy, knowledgeable, and personable and has been preparing our taxes for over 20 years. I would highly recommend him, not only is he an expert in what he does, he goes beyond the call of service. Brian prepared my mother in law's taxes for years but would take the time to drive to her house, have a cup of coffee, spend time visiting with her, then talking tax work. Brian goes beyond what you would expect. He is not only smart and knowledgeable but a total gentl
Brian has been preparing my taxes and fielding my questions and concerns regarding retirement for more than 10 years. He is always up to date on changes in tax law to better advise. With his experience and network he has been unbelievably helpful in his assessments and suggestions for my family. I refer anyone that I can to Brian. He is a shini
As a business owner of 31+ years, I highly recommend Brian Daley and his knowledgeable staff to help anyone resolve tax issues. Being notified by the tax departments about owing huge amounts of taxes can be a very scary and intimidating situation. Brian and staff are amazing at looking over your case and knowing how to help! It?s also good to know that they are local and you?re not relying on just a voice at the other end of the phone.
We are very fortunate that we found Brian Daley. He is a true professional and an asset to his profession. At the time that we found Brian, we unfortunately owed quite a bit of money to the IRS. Brian was able to work out an offer in compromise with the IRS and we were able to completely settle our debt for a fraction of what was owed. I would highly recommend Brian. We were very lucky to have him during a very stressful time in our lives.
I hired Brian to help m with a very complex business tax issue. Brian is very knowledgeable in all types of tax laws and takes his job very serious in helping his clients. He is the best!!! We will continue to rely on Brian for our tax questions and returns for years many years to come.
I mistakenly didn?t add a 1099 to a prior years tax return. Being as this particular 1099 was for a Crypto trading platform, the IRS added each transaction together never showing the ?cost?. It quickly added up to 500k(clearly wrong) all you have to do is amend the prior tax year with your documentation and the IRS adjust it and actually wound up owing me. When I originally received the letter from the IRS saying I owed, I consulted with Brian to seek his help. He required he handled everything and he would
Brian Daley came recommended to me, and for very good reason. All of my interactions with him, since my very first call, have been positive. He's intelligent, accommodating, soft-spoken, professional and kind. He's computer savvy too, which is awesome. His office is clean and in a convenient location. Brian is thorough with his work and available to answer all of your questions. If you want your financial situation/needs handled with competence, respect and dignity, Brian Daley is your guy.
Brain Daley has been doing our taxes for almost a decade now. Brian is a highly skilled professional, very knowledgeable and thorough. He is always available to give advise and answer questions. My wife and I recently moved from New York to Pennsylvania however we gladly made the 8 hour drive back to New York to consult with Brian.
This was our first year utilizing Brian's tax preparation services and one I will be using for many more. After trying my own hand at preparing my own taxes and subsequently being told by the IRS a years later that I had made mistakes and now owed them money, my wife and decided to to leave this to the professionals. Brian was not only very pleasant to work with, fully versed in all the current changes to the tax laws, he was able to rectify my request for back payment to the IRS. This was not an easy task
Brian has been doing my taxes for over 20 years. While being a total professional we have also developed a good friendship over the years. Brian has followed me professionally and prepared my taxes from NY, CT, TN, MI and CA. I would not trust anyone to take his place. Thank you Brian for your professionalism and dedication to the work that you do. Many more years and address changes ahead. James
Brian is a strong teammate when partnering as a year long accountant or just the annual filings. He works well into the night, weekends, is diligent and very detail oriented. His staff is smart and friendly. He knows the tax codes inside and out. If your lucky enough to become a customer, it will be for life- no doubt. The "Tax Man" is a valuable asset for any business or individual.
As a small business owner I didn't realize how important a great accountant was until this past year. I have been using an accountant that never met me in person or took any effort into getting my accounting part of my business in order. I work with hardscapes. I don't do accounting. We met with Brian late last year. He sat down with me to discuss my taxes. I didn't realize they were a mess. It took us a few meetings however Brian came through and got all of our taxes sorted out. I highly recommend
Brian helped me with my IRS issue tremendously. It took him many months working on my behalf with the IRS and in the end they accepted my offer and it?s changed my life for the better. At age 65 this is a great stress reliever for me and my wife. No other firm is capable of doing what Brian and his awesome staff did for us. Highly recommend from me!!! Mike Caruso
We came to Brian to file the past three year's taxes which were late due to moving back and forth between NY and MA. The IRS was looking for those returns. Brian got the IRS off our backs and dealt with them directly. He filed the taxes (all years) within 2 weeks but then we had a problem owing over $8000 in penalties. Brian had one year of penalties waived but they rejected the other two years. He asked us for more information and appealed the IRS rejection. After four months he got word that we won the IR
Would give zero stars if possible. Contacted their office looking for tax consultation services. Spoke with a woman and gave her a synopsis of our tax situation and she said that she would confer with Mr. Daley and return my call as soon as possible. Never did. Two plus weeks now. Very poor way of doing business, not even bothering to return the call. Also did not respond to inquiries made through their website. At the end our call she asked if I owed the IRS money and I said no. Seems like they onl
A fatal accident in 2014 led to the closing of my business and a downward spiral that left me in the worst situation of my life. Taxes weren't filed, the letters from the tax agencies were flowing in, bank accounts were levied, my vehicles were seized, foreclosure of my house was eminent. Climbing out of my hole of depression and loss was not easy! The best decision I made toward that goal was calling Brian Daley and asking for help. During this process there were days that depression left me not caring abo
When I graduated college there was a chain tax preparer down the street from my new apartment. I was out on my own for the first time and decided the easiest way to get my taxes done was to walk over and get my taxes prepared by a ?tax professional?. This decision was one of the worst I have made. A year later I received a letter from the IRS stating I owed them quite a lot of money. Brian has been a family friend for many years. I contacted him immediately after I received this letter and he put in co
Brian and his staff have now helped me with several years worth of both business and personal taxes. He has been incredibly thorough and knowledgeable in both personal and business matters. He and the whole staff have always made time to answer my questions and provide advice. He has become a great resource to my small business.
Brian is the best option that you have to resolve your tax problems. He has the relationships and contacts that allow him to be more effective than all the others. He is very knowledgeable of the tax codes and has helped me with what appeared to be an impossible task. He has been a Godsend to me. Thank You Very Much Brian!
If you are seeking assistance in tax issues we would highly recommend Brian Daley. We had been trying to resolve tax issues with the IRS for over two years. The IRS had asserted that we owed over $457,000 and were threatening liens and levies to collect that amount. After unsuccessfully trying to resolve the issue for two years using a large national tax preparation firm and dealing with the IRS directly we met and employed Brian Daley. He fought for us for approximately 9 months and was able to reduce the
Brian and his staff are incredible! He is the premier tax consultant in the Capital District. I can not recommend him enough! Thank you Brian so much for everything you have done!! If you are in a tax bind, you need Brian Daley, CPA!
Brian has helped me & my husband tremendously. He was able to release a Tax Levy COMPLETELY while we were in his office - from start to finish. Great accountant! WE highly recommend him!
We've used Brian for several years. He's always been professional and quick to suggest ways to save money. This year we were involved in the sale of 2 properties. Because we spoke to Brian ahead of the closing, we were able save over $30,000. I believe he is an actual wizard. I would highly recommend him.
With the ever changing IRS regulations I know nothing will be missed when Brian and his staff prepare my returns. From simple individual returns to estates to corporate returns Brian will know the latest requirements. I look forward to working with him for many more years.
After years of working to build a small business I struggled and always procrastinated on the other half being the office part. Well it didn't take long to get myself buried into a hole. After being completely overwhelmed and realized I needed help I called Brian . Totally straight up from the very beginning with a friendly but continued firm push forward to get it caught up and back on track . We're there and moving forward with organization and a plan for which I'm relieved and grateful to Brian and his

They always make time for any questions or concerns we need answered. I would highly recommend Mr. Daley to anyone who needs help with their small business accounting needs. He is an amazing resource and we are truly glad to have him on our team, especially when tax season rolls around every year! Thank you Mr. Daley and staff.
I am a tax attorney and CPA in Michigan and we had a difficult state tax issue with New York. I referred my client to Mr. Daley and we received prompt and superior service. He was able to resolve the tax problems quickly and efficiently since he knows the tax laws of New York so well. I give Mr. Daley my highest recommendation, and will be referring other work to him.
Brian Daley, CPA Helped with a tax letter from the IRS. I wanted to pay the IRS the additional monies, but Brian, calmed my fears, wrote a letter to the IRS, and followed the situation until it was resolved. Brian is an excellent person to work with and is a hard worker.
Read the reviews on yelp before going to this guy. There is no way he is worth 5 stars per google reviews. He is condescending and rude. If I could give no stars I would. This place should be out of business so nobody has to go through what I did. We normally do our own taxes and finally decided to get some help because my wife went back to work and wanted to make sure we did our deductions right. My taxes are as straight forward as they can be and he charged me 600 dollars to prepare which he had absolute
Dear Brian, You have been my accountant for a short time, but like I said in my email this morning, I am so very happy that I found you. I can not thank you enough for the dedication and tenacity that you showed while wiping out a 5 year old tax liability. You had to work with a very, very difficult Tax Agent but you still persevered! Now I can sleep at night knowing that this is behind me. A few days ago, as you know, I received a check and a letter from the IRS stating that I over-paid. I want to f

Brain is a great guy to do business with. He helped me with my past tax issues and is pointing me in the right direction to move forward. I take alot pride in my business and I am happy to see a guy doing the same for his own.
He taught us to use tax strategies that saved us real dollars. As a real , up to date professional, Brian even gave us other strategies to use as we age. My wife and I couldn't be happier.
This was the first year I had Brian do my taxes and I was very pleased with my experience. Everything was completed in a very timely fashion and it was clear that Brian was going to help me in any way he could. I highly recommend going to see Brian!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
