Our loan was with Chase after they took over Washington Mutual at 6.5%. When the rates dropped to 2.5% we asked Chase to please refinance our loan. They said they do not finance houses on dirt roads, and since we lived in a rural area, there were no comparables and, therefore, no appraisals or refinance help. A person I met by chance recommended Mike Lynch of Choice Lending on Hesperia Road in Victorville. Mike put our refinance package together quickly and we were refinanced. Our payment went from $3500 p
Mike and Rudy of the Choice Lending Group were very informative and took the time needed to guide my first-time home buyer through the lending process. They were clear and concise and were in constant communication throughout the entire process. They met all the agreed upon time obligations and helped us close in 21 days.
I am over joyed with the service I received from Choice Lending Group! My loan officer was Dwayne Sheffield. Awesome guy, super friendly but most importantly he did NOT make ONE MISTAKE with securing my loan! When he promised things would be completed before a certain date they were! He honored the Rate Lock he gave us! Do you know that there are actually 100's of sleazy internet lenders that sometimes wont! Who cares that its highly illegal, they still will do it anyway! With Dwayne... there were NO issues
When we decided to refinance, we groaned because of past, negative experience. A friend recommended Aaron, and what a great recommendation it was. The process is straightforward, professional, and no document was lost, a typical event during other refi's. He is a high-level communicator, and we felt fully informed throughout the process. Working with Norma in his office, too, was a delight. Aaron is a "five star" finance professional. He is the only one I will use in the future. You will not be disappointed
We recently purchased a home with the help of Jim Gavitte at Choice Lending. He has helped us multiple times with new home loans and refinances. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He kept us informed every step of the way from beginning to end. Our loan was completed before the estimated time frame. We highly recommend Jim to anyone looking to get a new home loan or to refinance your current loan. Thank You, Dan & DeeDee Neilson
Horrible service by Rudy Licona. First off Rudy doesn't even have the courtesy to return calls in a timely manner and is extremely unprofessional. I left several messages with his assistant and on his personal cell. As a first time home buyer I had so many questions that were left unanswered. When i tried to reach Rudy with updates he responded days later or not at all. Extremely unprofessional and very little customer service. This was so discouraging after hearing good things about Choice Lending . I a
The people at Choice Lending were fantastic. They got me funded for two loans quickly and with very little effort on my part. Their communication was amazing. Steven and Laura were a pleasure to work with.
Jim was great to work with. He made the process quick and easy. I would definitely recommend him. I really appreciated how he answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Great job!
We were so grateful to have Aaron?s help at Choice Lending! Very knowledgeable and had our best interest! Thanks again Aaron!
Dwayne was very helpful throughout the whole process. He showed great personal interest in finding the best possible loan.
The smoothest home purchase ever! The staff is warm, the office is clean & I was kept informed throughout the whole process. Thank you Aaron!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
