CPA Department has been my CPA company for about 5 years now. Yes, some mistakes have been made, however they always fix anything I bring to their attention. I just finished my tax planning with them and they gave great advice on how I can implement benefits to get tax credits for my business. As for communication, the only times the communication is slow is during tax season. And honestly, I think you'll find that at any CPA/tax prep firm during those times. If you get your complete information to them o
Easily the worst accounting team we have ever dealt with. They filed our taxes for two years, and both times we received additional tax bills from the state of NJ because the amount of taxes that were paid was incorrect. In addition to owing the money to the state, we also received an invoice from CPA for processing the additional payment to NJ (even though it was their accounting error that caused us to pay the incorrect amount in the first place). They are TERRIBLE at communication and are generally unres
Karen D, Emmy, Howard, and all team members. Your ability to work across teams and departments is a strength not everyone has. I'm impressed with the way you're working to dismantle silos
We could not be more pleased with the service we have received from Eubanks & Co. It is our one-stop shop for all of our financial business needs. Jennifer leads her team to provide ethical and timely financial and regulatory compliance guidance for our government focused practice and we have recommended her firm widely. Thank you for all that you do! Your dedication to helping us remain compliant, set and meet our goals, and scale for growth is directly correlated with our continued success.
Have really enjoyed working with Eubanks & Company for the past several years. They have a great team that delivers professional and efficient service. Whether it be government contracting, day to day accounting needs , tax prep, or tax planning, they can handle your every need. We have already started leveraging their tax expertise with the new tax law changes. I highly recommend Eubanks & Company.
I just want to shear my experience working with CPA Team and like to recommend them to any businesses who will be need help with a accounting, HR and other services. As a small business woman own, find a firm who exactly understand nature of the business it is not easier. But, soon I start working with CPA Team, I feel that I in the good hands. As of today, this Team my primary services for ALL my company needs. Highly recommending to everyone.
Recently Digital Consultants was faced with a short fuse Certificate of Competency appeal by the Small Business Administration for a high priority contract proposal. Turning to the professionals at CPA was the best decision we could have made. Working long hours the staff at CPA pulled together all the required documents, helped us secure the financing needed and guided us through package submission. I am happy to report that we won the appeal and with the help of CPA, we are ready to continue to grow. Than
We have used the services of CPADept for more than two years now and have been very impressed with their responsiveness and their service. They have provided full scale accounting support and tax services as well as a recent Quality of Earnings Report and all services have been outstanding. They are extremely cooperative and professional!
Be careful with this company. I am still dealing with issues they caused 4 years ago. The owner never took responsibility even though I had documented emails where I had asked about 941 forms. She ignored our small company after we brought up several issues. I am still dealing with the IRS from issues in 2018 and I am out a lot of money due to her team?s incompetence. Too many promises made none were actually kept. A huge disappointment.
The CPA Department was recommended to me by Xtivia. My husband, who kept our corporate books, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving our business of 40 years without a Comptroller. The CPA Department, specifically Karen Dickert, came in and saved us. She served as our Comptroller, produced financial statements, reconciled our checkbook, directed our bookkeeper, produced incurred cost reports and other financials for DCAA reviews, and supported due diligence for our buyer in the middle of a sale. Filed my 2020 taxes and got some other work completed here. Sheetal helped me but I was a little disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism. Maybe this had to do with COVID-19 pandemic causing stress, I do not know but it definitely irked me. I paid multiple times for her expertise and was left feeling hard done by. As others have mentioned I too paid over 1000 for my taxes to be filed and was not notified that I would not be receiving a refund. I was told to look at the document. It was lite
Jennifer is a trusted accountant and adviser. Her work ethics is second only to her expertise. Jennifer?s sense of resolve is perhaps the most telling? meticulous, persistent, and assertive comes quickly to mind. Eubanks & Company has my highest recommendation.
CPA Department has saved my bacon several times over. I can always expect a prompt, complete response, and I am consistently amazed with the variety of their services. They have helped me with everything from Gov pricing exercises to bill payment. I'm a fan!
Working with Jennifer and the team has been an absolute pleasure, they are very professional and efficient ! Communication was always prompt and accurate. We will continue to use there excellent services in the future and have no hesitation in recommending them.
My firm started using EuCo from day one. I can attest that they have reduced the risk of many pitfalls we faced during our first few years. They continuously provide executable solutions to ensure our books and processes are inline and compliant. All this expertise at reasonable costs and great customer service.
They help me a lot to survive this crazy COVID time. First of all they did everything for me for PPP loan. Really I only answer couple questions for them and everything else was done. They doing my taxes also and I never had any problems at all ever. Really good decision to do business with them.
We're extremely happy with the DCAA oriented consulting we're received, as well as the excellent service on general accounts issues. Our FAR and DCAA issues were more than we wanted to tackle alone and a significant part of our business. Jennifer and her team helped us through these hurdles and we couldn't be more pleased.
Best CPA firm! They are efficient and always on top of tax regulations and laws. I used them for the last four years and have been extremely pleased with their customer service and professionalism.
Eubanks & Company is very professional and pays attention to all details. This company is very understanding of all the tax laws. This company is very efficient, and very accurate. Plus, this comapny is very reasonable and is very trustworthy. Highly recommend Eubanks & Company to anyone. Thank you soooo much !!
Two years ago, my CPA retired and suggested I go to Jennifer Eubanks. I have been delighted with her work! I highly recommend Eubanks & Company.
Eubanks & Company helped me out of a very sticky tax problem created by the neglect of a former accounting firm. I have nothing but the highest praise for this firm and the people working there. My ongoing experience is just as positive.
Would highly recommend Eubanks and Co. for business consulting, accounting and tax preparation needs. Jennifer and staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help clients with their needs. You won't be disappointed.
Eubanks & Company provides meaningful and actionable expertise related to preparing for DCAA audits, prepares winning pricing proposals, and provides overall strategies for small government contracting businesses to succeed.
Phenomenal service! Very professional, efficient, and prompt. Provides excellent customer service. Questions are explained in terminology easy to understand. I will use the firm again and highly recommend that you do too.
As I operated m'y US subsiderary, CPA Department managed, and still manages, my accounting and governement complance with professionalism. Many thanks, and highly recommend.
Jennifer and her team are the best of the best! They truly understand the needs of their clients and perform always with professionalism and courtesy. I highly recommend them!
Lack of all professionalism, no retention of records, 2 weeks to return calls, and then my personal information was sold to someone without my consent or knowledge. I would have been better off with Turbo Tax.
An extremely good interface those who are conversant in accounting process and presentation and those who are not. Professionals who merge detail work with high level advice and management suggestions. Outstanding firm.
Jennifer and her team helped us navigate international tax and accointances requirements, and advised on acquisitions. Thanks CPA Department!
Run very fast away from this company. Like working with a monolithic disorganized maze, this company was completely unprofessional and worse, causing us to incur fees on more then one occasion.
We have worked with CPA's for our businesses for many years. Jennifer Eubanks is awesome.
Multiple emails sent and phone message left - even drove over to the (completely vacant) office....no response. Not sure what happened to this once responsive firm....
Very knowledgeable and helpful team. Work was done expediantly. I will continue to use them and highly recommend them.
Jennifer was excellent and very knowledgeable on GovCon accounting. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend CPA Department. The team at CPA is very professional and knowledgeable.
Amazing personal service and attention to details. Really enjoyed working with the Team.
Eubanks and Co is extremely customer-driven.
Great, personal service - a trusted partner
Very dependable, professional, and responds timely.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
