CSI Group is very reliable when it comes to doing my taxes. They are super professional and the whole process is quick too! I trust them to do my taxes correctly and efficiently. Thank you!
This was my 1st time using CSI group and it was the worst tax preparation I?ve ever encountered. The young guy that was filing my taxes (At Woodbridge location) was rushing thru, barely asked any questions and gave zero advise on tips for next year. Came home? only to realize that I never received a copy of my tax returns. Definitely never going back there again.
My husband and I worked with Cody for the first time to complete our 2024 taxes. Cody answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. Great experience!
Everyone?s so nice . Bobby Brown is great and very Knowledgeable. I highly recommend CSI group they will always guide you and answer your questions.
I had my taxes done at CSI this week and I?m so pleased that I went there.Carrie and Tony make a great team thank you for being there.
Guess it?s time to rewrite my review!!! Updated review They have done our taxes for a very long time! We even had your lawyers rewrite my mothers will. So we meet with Jack to go over my mothers finances. He was going to get back to us and we were going to transfer her money over to CSI to handle for her. We were offered a $10 gift card for a 5 star review. NEVER received the Dunkin? Donuts gift card plus I?ve called Jack many times and left messages but never got a call back! So we found someone that is in
CSI prepared my taxes for 2022 year, and they did a horrible job. I have gotten them reviewed by H&R block and there were substantial differences. I will never use their services again as they do not offer any guarantee for what they do.
I have used CSI Group for my tax preparations for many years. From the ease of making appointments to the friendliness of the staff to the speed and accuracy with which my returns are filed, I highly recommend them!
We have always received excellent and professional services. They are the best when it comes to filing your taxes, we have no complaints and will continue to refer family, friends and anyone looking for the best.
I had my deceased parent's final tax refunds for 2021 and 2022 filed with CSI Group . 2021 was done wrong and said that my father was still alive. I asked for them to have them redone. I contacted them multiple times about that and they kept telling me that someone will call me back. Never happened. I did not receive anything back on that without a fight. I came in to the office to have the 2022 taxes and submitted the correct paperwork that they needed to have the taxes filed correctly for both years and t
Had an awful experience; it?s now July 7th and my taxes still haven?t been filed, and I?m being stonewalled, by the individuals who did my taxes, to speak to a higher up supervisor about my experience. I?m being told there isn?t anyone else that I can speak to and even if there were I would get the same response, which is unacceptable? essentially refusing to let me file a formal complaint or connect me to anyone other than the individual who filed my taxes. In addition to losing my business, they?ll be lo
Working with CSI Group since 2008. They have helped our family tremendously in time of need, not just taxes, but helping with POAs/Wills during difficult times. I must referred them to my parents, mother-in-law, my aunt, a good friend of mine, and most recently cousins have utilized their services. All have been happy. When it comes to taxes, they stay ahead of the laws to ensure everything is done right. Always responsive and available.
Our first time at using this business to have our taxes done. Professional, super nice and local! Maureen was very pleasant and Anthony was professional, efficient and was able to answer any of my questions. We will be back!
I?ve been with CSI for years for both my small business and my personal taxes. They?re responsive, professional, generous with their time, and familiar with my needs. I lean on their guidance and knowledge.
Excellent service. They answered all my questions and got my taxes done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them!
I would like to say I'm impressed but kind of hard to after they hang up on you after their digital assistant leaves you on hold for 17 minutes without talking to a live person
The professional attention to our tax preparation. Appointments are easy to make, representative is very knowledgeable of tax regulations. Always very happy with results.
Excellent!! always helpful and friendly...have used CSI for both real estate transactions as well as annual tax returns....Thank you Kacy and Jordan and the rest of the CSI staff!!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
