Dara overcame an administrative mix-up in getting to our return until the final hour and still came through, working into the wee hours at the deadline! Thank you so much!
I had a very favorable experience with Ms Dara Sorah. She is diligent and passionate and conducts her business in a way that is truly in the best interest of her client. I look forward to working with her again.
Dara was recommended to me by my sister. The first time we used Dara's service was 2017, I believe. She redid 2016 taxes when she did 2017 taxes and got us some extra money back. She takes the time to listen, answer any and all questions, she's detail oriented, proficient, returns calls and emails quickly, etc. My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about Dara and the service she provides. I highly recommend her.
I?ve been using Dara for several years for my personal taxes and two trust accounts. She always gets back to me in timely fashion when I have questions. I?m very happy with her services.
Dara was referred to us by a friend with similar tax issues. Our initial meeting exceeded expectations !! She listened, asked germane questions, considered things, and suggested an option that works best for us. Very happy customer looking forward to our 2022 tax experience. Thanks Dara !!!!
This is the most amazing CPA! I am a long time client of hers, I sought her out after she left another firm to start her own. Since she has opened she takes time with her clients, gets to know them on a personal level. She always asks about my kids and while doing that reminds me to save all the bills from college so she can go through them. I love the service I receive from everyone at her firm and love the fact she puts the clients BEFORE the price. I would recommend her to anyone! She's even there throu
Dara has been so helpful with our taxes these past few years! We have had a few special situations that she was very knowledgeable about. We couldn't have done our taxes without her.
Always effient and works hard for her Clients. Very skilled in her profession.
Dara and her team came highly recommended to my husband and I. She was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Thanks again.
Don't know what I would do without Dara and her team! Always responsive. I get clear cut explanations of complicated info I can understand. Everyone is pleasant and makes me feel like a family member!!
Excellent service! Dara is on top of everything for me and my business. Explains everything to me in detail as my last accountant made a few mistakes I was unaware of. I am absolutely much more comfortable with Dara.
Very knowledgeable staff and excellent service. They give me peace of mind to focus on my business and leave the accounting to the pros!
I am not a fan. When I see an accountant, I would like to know how much an hour I will be charged and itemization of the charges I am asked to pay. I can't get this from Dara. Everything is a big secret. I feel that I was overbilled and I have asked for a breakdown of charges over and over. No response. I am thinking of turning her into Florida's Department of Business and Professional Regulation. I want an accountant who I can trust and who will be transparent with me. Why should I have to fight for this?
I consider Dara and her staff to pleasant, helpful and professional. The most important I fully trust her with the international and domestic complexities.
great service! Helped me with my previous taxes that were done incorrectly. Listened to what I needed and made sure they were done right and quickly!
Great staff!! Dara is great and Megan was amazing and did a great job on my taxes. Would definitely recommend. 10/10
Worst experience I have ever had. Taxes filed 4 months late. Lost payments made to the IRS, wrong amounts of estimated quarterly taxes. Never returns emails, or phone calls. I am actively seeking another CPA, that takes their job seriously. She is a joke
my company has been with Dara for 15 years, I would highly recommend, using her services, very professional, and is always a phone call away to help with any issues through out the year
She is the best always patient with my questions very informative on what I need to do to prepare for the tax season my tax return is very difficult and ends up about 1 inch think and she goes thru it and explains everything I need to know. Helped me with an IRS problem and took all the pressure off great work wonderful staff
When our tax situation went beyond the basics, Dara's knowledge and experience helped us to reduce our tax liability much more than we could have on our own. Thanks!
Dara and her team are very professional. She always responds to our emails and calls. She got us through a very difficult time. Thanks ??
Nice, Friendly staff. I have been with Dara for 4 years and am staying!
Friendly, helpful, respectful. Answers all your questions. The best experience we've ever had!!!
I wouldn't go anywhere else, they are wonderful!!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
