I would recommend Davis & Associates to all my friends & family looking for an accountant. Jennifer & her office moves as a unit to help consumers with the tax preparation process until the finish line. They are patient, diligent & responsive. Looking for a new accounting firm? Call Davis & Associates!
Davis & Associates is awesome! Jennifer has done my taxes for years & is always quick, efficient & works hard for me. As a business owner, it's nice to have someone I trust working on my taxes. The staff is courteous & Jennifer has been very prompt on answering any questions I've had to call her about as well. I highly recommend them for your taxes!
I have been working with Jennifer for a number of years now and have had nothing but the best experience! Jennifer has been with me through 2 moves out of state and now the starting of 2 businesses. She and her staff respond quickly and professionally! She takes the time to answer all of my questions both about taxes but as well as the best options for my businesses in terms of filing. Jennifer will continue to be my go to accountant as she makes tax season easy for more and gives me tips on how to trac
Jen and her staff have been handling both of my companies tax returns and quarterly payments. She has advised me and saved me so much money. She and her staff check in with me to make sure I stay on top of my receipts and documentation, remind me of upcoming deadlines. Effectively communicating with me and my book keeper has been a huge help for saving money and for remaining on task and avoiding penalties. I am so glad I found Davis and Associates! Life changing decision!
Jen is a terrific accountant, who has helped me and my wife get tax returns that were much higher than we found possible using Turbo tax. She was also enormously sharp and effective at completing my mother's taxes after she passed away. She even advised me informally over the phone and email without charge on some issues early on, then did a stellar job of tying up the loose ends and processing her returns. Jen is very honest and straightforward, but she's also good at keeping things optimistic and low-stre
We have had consistently great experiences with Jen and her associates for over 10 years. They quickly and patiently respond to our emails and have amazingly fast turn-around times for filing. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Davis & Associates, Accountants, Inc is a phenomenal team! They take care of all my personal and business needs with efficiency, professionalism, and precision. I was referred to Davis & Associates through a realtor friend of mine that is a real estate professional. This is one of the best connections I have made. Jennifer & Ty have handled all of my tax returns & accounting needs for the past 4 years. There were times I thought I wouldn't find a way to ge a decent return but they found areas I over loooked. They have maximized my return every year. The thing is they understand as a business owner & property investor my time is limited. I don't have time to w
I absolutely love Jennifer and her team. I have two businesses and my husband owns a business too. For the past ten years her and her team have been nothing but a helpful pleasure to work with. They take the burden off of me whenever they can and return all my inquires more quickly than I would expect. I didn't want to, but I moved to another service that was bundled with my financial planning one year and it was a disaster. I went back to Davis and Assoc. and they FIXED everything. You couldn't pay me t
Jen and her staff have done our family taxes for many years. It is a blessing to have the confidence of knowing someone is keeping up with all the rules and regulations to help us minimize our tax liability. Very satisfied customers.
I read the reviews on here and was very excited to work with Jennifer. She seemed knowledgeable about accounting, but I do not think my experience with her company was great at all. As a small business owner I had questions that were not answered in a timely manner, many times I had to send MULTIPLE emails and calls to her assistant Amber for anything to be returned. Communication greatly lacked while working with her. The last issue was I needed to send a secure message through the Sales Department webs
Jen is the best! Working with her and others in her office has always been a pleasure, and they have saved us hundreds of dollars. She is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. I highly recommend her.
Jennifer and team are the best of the best! Words can't describe how much I value their help and guidance over the years. Jennifer is so good about answering questions and making sure I understand everything! Wouldn't trade her for the world!
Davis and Associates is amazing! Very communicative, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I recommend them to everyone and will continue to use them every tax filing season. Highly Recommend!!
There are plenty of accounting firms... steer clear of this one. The first year (2017) we filed all of our documentation in February. April 15th we get a call sayong we owe 35k!! 4 hours of back and forth and our tax liability is down to $4k. Following year we file all of our tax docs again in early Feb and ask that our tax prep be conpleted well in advance of April 15th to avoid the ?crisis? we experienced last year. Nope... we were blown off after repeated weekly calls to check on status/progress.
Fantastic service!! I've been using Jennifer for my tax returns every year since April 2004. I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone.
Just started working with Jennifer and she is top notch? highly recommend! Thank you so much!!!
Jennifer and team made the process simple and saved me a ton of money on taxes! I was recommended by family and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Just the best! Knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Who could ask for more?
There are no words to describe how AWESOME she is!!!!! THE BEST!!!!!!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
