AAA+ Amazing, Accurate Accounting services!! We have been customers for several years and our taxes are quite involved with a variety of forms. Plus, we are out of state dealing with OK assets. Mike and his team have helped us get everything squared away every year in a timely fashion. Easy and secure document upload, prompt communications, and use of digital signatures & payment options made everything simple. Highly recommend!!
Davison Accounting has been preparing my taxes and giving me business advice for over a decade now. They have been a true blessing to my company! Thanks guys for your superior service!
Mike and his team continue to delivery excellence. I love locally owned, quality service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Davison Accounting delivers on all these points. Highly Recommend.
Over the years I have referred dozens of clients from the various mortgage and real estate companies I owned to the Davison's, Steve and Mike, for tax and in some cases accounting services. Virtually all of the clients I've referred to them are still their clients many years later. I respect Steve and Mike so much I decided to join their firm as the Director of Consulting Services when my other business interests wound down. Their integrity and commitment to real solutions for their clients is a quality t
I never thought I needed an accountant; that is... until the first tax deadline for my wife's business snuck up on us. They helped us not only with our business, and joint return but also on something no money can buy: Genuine Advice. Steve and his son Mike Davison really know their stuff, and portray real confidence in their skillset. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't want to navigate the tax world without one of these guys at my side. I recommended them to a friend this year for 2015 tax season and
Davison Accounting has been handling my taxes for more than 10 years. I know Mike & Steve personally and can tell you that they do a thorough, honest job. Also these are the two most relaxed and funniest accountants you will ever meet as long as you catch them BEFORE April! They also handle payroll and business accounting for SMBs and are very knowledgable of general finance since they own several businesses themselves. I can recommend them whole-heartedly!
Steve Davison has been my accountant for the past 20 years, and I can't imagine anyone else doing a better job - I trust this firm completely with my financial matters. Like a fine wine, our relationship gets better as the years go by. Steve and Mike's unconventional humor makes the tedious task of taxes something I actually look forward to each year. And if it's an IRS issue that is dogging you, they relish putting on the gloves (metaphorically speaking) for a fiesty go-around with an suspecting agent. You
I have used the Davisons for over 4 years now. During that time they have helped me with my taxes, advised me on starting three businesses and helped the dozens of my personal clients I have referred to them (all of which were thankful that I referred them to such wonderful accountants)! I can not think of a better group of accountants!!! If you choose to use them as well, you will be grateful you did!
What comes to mind... FIVE STAR accountants, advisers, and strategists. If I could give 10 stars I would. For more than 20 years, they have been trustworthy advisers. They're always spot on - and I like them. They're great to work with (responsive, likable, and, they'll interject some fun into your accounting experience, and where else can you get that?)
I have been with Mike and Steve for 30 years. Their knowledge and experience as well as customer service are unmatched! I highly recommend their services not only for tax preparation but for outstanding but also overall business advice.
These guys are great. They are fast, friendly, and very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone needing help with their taxes. I called them because they were one of the few that even had a review, and I'm taking the time to write one to encourage anyone else looking for a tax professional. Give them a call!
All I did was call to ask questions, and was told since it was not a simple tax issue, " i would not be a good fit" after I agreed to pay the 220 per hour consultant fee. Little girl on the other end of the call would not even give me her name. Stay away if they treat a call like this. Was not asking for free advice, was trying to set appointment to get help. I just didn't understand what I needed to do. Even agreed to your hourly rate @ $220 per hour. Thank you for saving me time and money.
I hadn't gotten my taxes done for several years...not so smart. But the Davison guys took the fear out of my sails and helped me clean it up. It feels great to not "live under the bridge" anymore. Thanks Guys.
Excellence and integrity. No matter what the tax issue is--simple, business, prior year, several prior years--Davison can help. You will be glad to have their help and and assurance.
I was hesitant about finding a CPA and really understanding the benefits as I am pretty hands on. These folks are beyond 5 stars in how satisfied I am with their work, advice, service, and very reasonable on cost.
We've been very pleased with the service and professionalism of Davison Accounting, having had them prepare our returns for about 30 years.
Exceptional CPA firm! Hiring Davison Accounting was one of the best decisions I have ever made as a business owner.
Excellent, knowledgeable, fast and courteous. I am confident that they will take us through filing under the "new" tax law with ease and accuracy. Highly recommended.
Good people, great advice. Everything is thorough, complete and on time.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
