This review may be a bit premature but I just wanted to mention, That Paul at Federal Tax Management has been great so far with answering all of our questions and how the entire process works. We paid a "VERY REASONABLE FEE" to get the investigation started and I am confident that Paul will help us get our back Tax debt figured out which will give us some much needed stress relief and make home life much more manageable. The stress has been looming since spring of 2022. Looking forward to see how this proce
I was referred to Chad by a friend that had used these guys before. I had some unfiled back taxes that needed to be resolved. Chad and his team of experts went right to work on them right away. They made the process so easy and streamlined with the IRS. This was a couple years ago. Here I am today this year getting my 2024 taxes done by them again. They have been my ?go-to? guys for the last couple years. They keep me informed the whole step of the way and did I mention the quick turnaround. They are afford
I had no idea how to handle payroll issues with the IRS, but Federal Tax Management Inc. made the whole process so much easier. They explained everything clearly and got me back on track. Very grateful for their help!
Chad had been a wonderful guide for the past few years with getting my appointments set up and making sure I?m taken care of throughout the tax season! Wonderful to speak to and work with
Such a relief to have someone I can trust handling payroll. The team is friendly, responsive, and just really good at what they do. Wish I had found them sooner.
I was referred to Paul, and subsequently Ken, back in 2017 when the IRS was coming after me for some back taxes that I owed. Over a course of 6 months, they patiently guided a very stressed out me through an Offer In Compromise with the IRS. Since then they have been handling all my tax needs. I would highly recommend using them for anything you need tax wise. They bring an old school business acumen that is very hands on, and moreover patient, as dealing with the IRS can be tricky (and as I mentioned above
I've been with Paul for several years now, and I know I can be difficult at times, but they have consistently gone the extra mile to ensure I understand everything and to assist me with any questions, concerns, or confusion. I can't envision anyone being disappointed with their service. If you're in search of a reliable team to assist with your taxes, I would recommend giving them a chance. -Chanetta Chavers
If they want to know why only the 1 star, they will contact me. Going this route since my other attempts for a reply have been unsuccessful. I could have applied the $3500 I paid them, for NOTHING, to my tax bill. Evidently they're no longer obligated to communicate with me now that they think our business is finished, but the IRS is still harassing me and sending me bills even though I'm current on the payment plan this company arranged.
Highly recommended.. I?ve been with these fellas for quite a few years now, and know I can be a pain in the butt sometimes lol but they have gone above and beyond to make sure I understand things and to help me with any questions, concerns or confusion.. I can?t imagine anyone would be disappointed with them. If you are looking for a solid group to help with your taxes, I?d say give them a shot.
I got scammed too by this company. IRS said i could have paid them the 3500 i paid to these people. Only thing they did for me was file my taxes that year. Scam in my opinion amd experience.
I sent money and the have done nothing...IRS froze my bank account I paid for a lawyer through them....and nothing! No return phone calls, messages...text!!! Nothing!! I definitely would not recommend.
Id like to Thank everyone at Federal Tax Management for another year of tax services and for always being there when I need professional help. I will continue to be a steady client knowing that I'm always in good hands. Sal Marinaccio
Paul and his team are the best! I will definitely use them again!
Ken and his team helped me set a non profit. The process was fast and easy. Ken is patient and he took the time to really listen to what my vision was and brought it to life
Federal Tax Management was very professional in resolving our Hugh tax bill from the IRS, Our accountant did not report all of our expenses, however Federal gave us the help to get the IRS off our backs. Thank you for your help.
I am not one to post personal business online but have been impressed with this company and the way they handle IRS issues. I am looking forward to finalizing the plan they have laid out for me.
Don?t use Federal Tax Management, they where in contact with me daily/weekly until they got my money then didn?t here from them for over 6 months until I sent a not so friendly email to Ken Ly and Karen. They will scam you
Go above and beyond to do personal and business taxes and clear out mistakes made from prior accounting services . Handle clients from out of state easily and work very professionally and quickly.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
