I enrolled with Freedom Debt Relief (FDR) in good faith. In February 2025, after following their instructions to make a manual payment of $588 to American Express, FDR received the payment on time?then failed to forward it. My settlement was voided as a result. When the settlement was reinstated, my balance had increased by nearly $2,000, and FDR informed me?via email?that $4,995.60 in settlement fees had already been collected. I've asked for months for a breakdown or explanation of these figures. I've ne

Unless you're engaged in active credit card debt I don't see how this would be advantageous for someone with delinquent and already wrote off debt? Anyway a 1256.00 dollar account enrolled paid 856.00 dollars already settlement fee is paid which was like 500 dollars at the rate this is going I calculate my total payments to be more then the account itself and the account

I have almost $4000 in my dedicated balance and my last debt just settled for $3120 plus court fees of $800 and you guys still want me to pay $400 a month for the next 24 months, and if I stop you threaten that my settlement would be in jeopardy? All while my legal assistant TOLD you to settle this in 2 full monthly payments. You guys are refusing to listen or help me and basically holding me hostage while threatening me at the same time. What you guys are doing is illegal and the definition of extortion.

This is a total scam. They sold me a good story on helping consolidate my debts, but they took a 1000 dollars in hidden fees, didn't actually negotiate any debts and ruined my credit worse than it was. I suggest you carefully look at this company before using them, wish I had.

I want to end the program and the person that got to end it was RUDE. and trying to scare me in to not ending the program. And told me that the money that was in the account I wouldn't get back for 7 to 10 business days if any money came back. Which was bs. He tried to say that there are fees that they never got. Freedom Debt Relief is a very poor choice for help with debt. I am very, dissatisfied with their process and their fees they charge are completely overwhelming and they DONOT tell you about them up front, horrifying choice on my part, I just didn't know.

Yes they help you consolidate your debts. They charge 25% of what you owe when you start. By the time you get your settlements for who you owe : they have charged late fees, interest/penalty fees for those 4-6 months. Once you finish paying everything off, you have only saved about 25% TOTAL, and wrecked your credit for God knows how long. 6 months into paying FDR to get out of debt, FDR reps will call you about getting a loan to pay everything off to " help start rebuilding your credit score ". It feels like I have been reborn. It was an exciting experience using the Freedom Debt Relief program watching my debt paid off . These people have been friendly and very professional setling my debts for me. I would recommend their good services to anyone struggling with their debt.
