I have known Todd Giles for many years and have been using his services at Giles & Associates for several years. They are always professional and friendly. I can always pop in and Todd and his team will always answer any questions and give sound advice. Not to be overlooked is that Todd is a tremendous supporter of Glendora Youth and High School Sports and the local Boy Scouts. He and his team support these groups with countless volunteer hours mentoring, coaching and assisting with any accounting needs.
I have relied on Giles & Associates for years. I love their personal attention and professionalism. Ten years with ZERO problems from with the IRS. I have never had a late penalty. When you own a business, you want a CPA like Giles & Associates. They do so much more than just get my taxes filed accurately and on-time. They work with my creditors or potential business providers to provide insight into my company and its finances. They train my staff on best practices for handling money and our boo
Highly recommend Giles & Associates. They are quick to prepare my taxes and friendly. They also recommended I incorporate and were able to quickly assist me in that process. Todd is very knowledgeable and Christian is great to work with.
Giles and Associates has been such an amazing group to work with. They have helped me with my taxes for the last 3 years and honestly I don't think I'll ever use anyone else after using them. They do an amazing job and are very concerned with making sure their clients are taken care of. Thank you guys!
Awesome firm, Have been working with Todd for over 20 years. He has always been loyal and honest with our taxes. We have referred many of our clients to him and would highly recommend to others.
This past year I've worked with Giles & Associates directly with Todd. I was very thankful for his great service and work. He treated me as I am family and was very efficient with his work. I highly recommend if you are looking for great service and just a great team of people.
This firm has taken care of the personal and business taxes for my wife and I for several years and we have developed a friendship with Todd and his amazing staff. The service has always been fast and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Todd completely messed up on our "simple" tax filings for 2017. My husband and I had to fix his mistake, which ended up costing us time and substantial penalty fees. We reached out to him many times via phone messages and emails, to no avail. Todd's carelessness is one thing (something that we should get our money back for), but his lack of response is just plain rude.
Tried to rip me off, i was recommended to him from a friend me and the friend had a falling out so Todd decided to not file my person income for the year and even when so far as to remove my address for the IRS to mail me so i could get any mail notices! I hope you all read this and see he plays the nice guy but is really a bad person.
I have used Giles and Associates for about 20 plus years, starting with Vernon and now with Todd and his staff. They take care of all of my payroll and taxes. I wouldn't use anyone else
I must express my complete dissatisfaction with working with you. The mistake on your part has now led to me taking my time to fix the errors. When I received the notices from the IRS, I brought them directly to you. It took over a month and a half to get this paperwork back, and then was told that the mistake made by you, could not be fixed by you. Furthermore, I am now responsible for following up with the IRS. I was further disappointed to find out, that I was accruing daily penalty and interest fees! T
Todd has been doing my taxes for years. He is always available to answer my many questions. I highly recommend.
Giles and Associates has done a wonderful job on my taxes for years. Todd is the best!
Awesome firm to work with. My wife and I have always been pleased with the advice and services received. Have been using this firm for over 30 years and have always received great service.
This company has helped me for over a decade. They are a faith based organization that runs on morals. Thank you for everything that you have done for us.
Great friendly group and very understanding and patient with what I need. As a small business owner, it takes a world of stress off my back when I'm able to work with knowledgeable, supportive people.
They are fine thank you
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
