After moving to the area 2 years ago we were recommended to use Lana, as we sadly had a disappointing experience with another accounting firm last year. I just so wish we had discovered her then, as her attention to detail and knowledge is impeccable. Both my wife and I felt incredibly looked after and we?ll definitely continue to use her for our accounting needs. Taxes aren?t traditionally an experience that?s enjoyable, but with the combination of us collating all that was required and Lana?s expertise, w
Lana is such a pleasure to work with - who knew taxes could be enjoyable. Lana and her team are always professional and ready to help at a moments notice. We have been with her for over ten years and could not imagine working with anyone else. Thank you for all that you have done and will do in the future.
Have been using Lana for tax preparation services for over 10 years now. Couldn?t recommend her more. She is one of the nicest people in the tax business. She has always been thorough and timely. Just a pleasure to work with.
MS. Hendrickson is doing my business and personal finance matters for more than 10 years or so. These people have a good knowledge of finance and tax matters. Very helpful and informative. Finally affordable charges.
I have been working with Mrs. Hendrickson for almost 2 years now and she has worked hard to help us resolve all of our tax issues. She is extremely knowledgeable, reassuring, easy to talk to, works to save you every dime possible, and genuinely cares about your personal situation. Mrs. Hendrickson and her staff are all very professional, accommodating, and responsive no matter what type of situation arises. I have never had any problems getting an appointment, even last minute, to meet with Lana in person.
I've been using Lana and Hendrickson & Associates for years!! For one they treat you like family and not just a client. They are super knowledgeable and keep on top of both personal and business taxes for my family and I. I'd be lost in that world without them!
Lana is the best! I trust her and that?s what matters today. It?s a key element in business to have a CPA that you can trust. she knows what to do, and how to do it. I have found great success with her. I will be here for every business I establish. I always send people to her that I know because shes the best around.
I had the good fortune of affiliating with Hendrickson & Associates when the larger firm I relied on for tax preparation pulled out of the individual market. This wound up being a blessing because Lana became a partner to help me minimize my tax liability. I found the firm to be very communicative during the process and responsive to any questions along the way or during the year. Highly recommend Lana and team for their expertise and professionalism.
I have been a customer of Hendrickson & Associates for over 7 years. I have been completely satisfied and have had nothing but good experiences with Lana Hendrickson and her Staff. Lana is a true professional with excellent customer service and a quick response time to all questions we have regarding our Business throughout the year. Her attention to detail and knowledge of all Tax Issues relating to our Business our first rate. Lana, and her employee Christy, handle our payroll in addition to our Corporate
Lana and her team are fantastic! When I reached out to Lana, I had been trying to do my own taxes for years and I was royally screwing them up. When I handed over my records to Lana her team was able to amend my recent few year's of returns which allowed me to receive a greater tax return. From there I was sold. Her team has managed our LLC and personal taxes for the last 3 years and I now look forward to my tax preparation activities. I know I'm in good hands with her and her team as she provides sound a
I have been working with Hendrickson Associates for the past three years. My former long time CPA retired and recommended Mrs. Hendrickson. Everything has been handled timely and professionally since the transition and my wife and I could not be more pleased. Quarterly estimated taxes and adjustments to same has always been easy, typically handled with a simple email. And the electronic filing process has always been handled in a timely fashion. I can highly recommend Mrs. Hendrickson for both simple o
My husband and I have been working with Mrs. Lana for years and we can not express how amazing she has been. Mrs. Lana has become family to us and is always on top of her game. Very professional yet welcoming at the same time. We highly recommend her to everyone!
Lana is a phenomenal CPA that has been very accurate and detailed in preparation of my taxes. She is always willing to assist throughout the year. Highly recommend her!
Lana has served as the accountant for my business for over 10 years and she had always given its great advise on the structuring of our finances. She's a wonderful person and extremely competent. You couldn't pick a better person to be your accountant!
Lana Hendrickson helped my husband and I make sense of our tax situation quickly and with care. She will be our CPA from now on year to year. Thank you so much for your expertise and professionalism. We highly recommend her company.
Lana is wonderful! She is timely, gets us the maximum amount of money, but best of all, Lana is just awesome! She is so kind and easy to talk to, and cares about my family as people, not just as clients! We will use Lana for as long as we have to do taxes, and as long as she will keep us around!
I have been a long-time client of Mrs. Hendrickson and can attest to her quality, timeliness and attention to detail for both simple or complex tax matters. She is kind, professional and more personable than I could?ve ever imagined a CPA of her caliber. Her office is warm and inviting and she takes the appropriate time to ensure you feel comfortable understanding your own financial matters. I highly recommend Hendrickson and Associates.
God blessed me to find Ms Lana Hendrickson! I was a Tax Hot-Mess!! She helped me understand what I have been doing wrong and cleaned up the ERRORS of my previous tax preparer and this year we will get totally caught up, all at a reasonable cost!! Thank You Hendrickson & Associates!!
Lana is very experienced and appears to have solid knowledge of accounting, however, she and her office are completely unreliable and communication is terrible. We are a newer business and we were looking for assistance in building a solid foundation for our accounting. The initial consultation was great, but follow-up communication was the worst I've ever seen in a professional business. We literally had to resort to threats to get an email answered or a phone call returned. We ultimately parted ways becau
Hendrickson made a huge mistake when processing our 2020 taxes we spent all of 2021 and 2022 trying to get it fixed through her, and she always had an excuse as to why she could not set up an appointment. We consulted with someone else and found her mistake is $12,000. We now are still battling and have to pay the full amount until the IRS can process our claim to avoid further consequences.
I would highly recommend Ms. Hendrickson for helping anyone with their taxes. She helped me when I needed to have two years of taxes amended because they were not done right previously. She is very professional and always responds to my questions in a timely manner. I will always use her from now on.
Very unprofessional! Lana Hendricksen made a mistake on my taxes by adding a $3,104 dollars from 2014 tax year that I had already paid a penalty to the IRS for which she was aware, because she advised me to pay it. I caught the error, which should not have even been on my 2015 Tax Return, so I called her office right after I left her office on the same day I met with Lana to advise her NOT to e-file my tax return until a correction was made. She went ahead and e-filed my returns anyway! Then all week I was
Lana is one of the nicest people you will meet. She has been doing my personal and company taxes for several years now, and I couldn't be happier with the service I have gotten over the last 4 years.
Lana filed incorrect information on my taxes causing over $2,000 in errors/misinformation. She was prompt to take all my information and get the taxes completed to get herself paid, but once she has your money, good luck trying to contact her again. Once I received notice of the tax errors, it took 2 weeks and 3 emails to finally be deemed worthy enough a response from her. The response was filled with reasons why it was my fault that she filed my taxes incorrectly. Paid her 300$ for one big headache that I
Lana is the Best, She helped us out of a situation almost 10 years ago, and she has been doing our taxes ever since, I wouldn't use any one else!!
Lana and her staff have always been very professional and helpful to us during tax season and beyond! We very much appreciate them, and highly recommend them!
I wasn?t going to post a review but after receiving our third penalty for late filing and not filing required quarterly documents, I have to say that I believe this firm is overwhelmed. It should not be my place to remind them of what I need to file and when that should happen. Lack of response to emails and voice mails didn?t help. Nice folks but after less than a year, I had to move forward.
Lana is very proficient and thorough with her work ethics. Highly recommend her if you have your own business.
Has done a great job for me over the past several years since I started using her firm! Very prompt! Answers all my questions, and has provided sound tax advice!
Professional. Caring. Genuinely concerned about my family's financial picture. Lana allows me to focus my time on teaching and coaching.
Lana is fantastic. She knows her stuff and has taken great care of us.
Hendrickson & Associates have been nothing but phenomenal. Ive referred several people to use them and will continue to do the same.
Very professional! Loved Lana and her team.
Absolutely incredible and backs veterans 100%! 10 out of 10 would recommend!
Very pleased with her professionalism
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
