Not the best or worst experience, but due to an oversight by the tax preparer, I received a letter that I still owe $50 to my city. Why do I pay for someone to do my taxes if they're not going to do it correctly. The only benefit was that they knew about a credit for going to school. However, I could find that myself on the irs website. Just annoying, 1 small mistake, but it isn't something I should have to deal with when I paid a tax preparer.

First time using Hicks & Co. Since we moved from out of state we decided to use a tax service. Had a great experience - got in quickly to have them review all our paperwork, did quick work on the return and got back more than expected. We ran into one problem but they resolved it quickly.

John Hicks is the perfect tax preparer with the highest integrity and expertise, staying up with ALL the new tax law developments throughout the year - and there have been a lot of changes under the Obama administration. Hicks & Co Tax Service LLC has prepared by federal, state, city and school district taxes for a few years. Everyone is very professional and friendly. The price is very reasonable and I actually look forward to getting my taxes prepared by them every year!

The WORST experience I have ever had. I have never used an accountant before and decided to use one to file my 2019 taxes. Never again!! Huge waste of my money and it is now the end of January 2020. I still have yet to receive my tax return. I call at least twice a month, and I have not received one phone call. Do not recommend!!
