I am a new customer to Hongda and he went above and beyond in regards to filing my taxes. His availability and openness to answer any question provided me with the trust I need in an accountant. He was very thorough and explanatory in our meeting especially when filing my scorp. Highly recommended!!
I've literally been with the same accountant all my life; the same one my parents use. However this was finally the year I had to find someone else to file our taxes (And No, I'm never going to file my own. I've heard that advice before "just file your own, it's easy.) I contacted 4 different local accounting service businesses and ultimately decided on Hongda & Gil Tax. I made an appointment and drove down at the end of February. Since it was my first time, they did have to get copies of our Drivers' lice
Very nice and professional people to work with. We have been going to them since 2019. I'd highly recommended them with taxes. 5 star + services!
Tax report=Hongda!! He's so professional and fast. He organized everything super quick and answered kindly to all the questions i had. We called the office and made a appointment. It took about 20min for in and out with reasonable price. Highly recommend this place! Definitely visiting next year for tax
Always pleasant and easy. Very polite. It's my 3rd year and I'll definitely return next year. I feel comfortable with the ability and knowledge of the work being done. All the employees are welcoming. Highly recommend!
This was my first year doing my taxes and it couldn't have gone any better. I did not actually catch the name of the individual that served me but I'm assumimg it was either Hongda or Gil. In short, everything was strictly business but my guy was helpful and insightful. Nothing else was really spoken. It only took like 10 mins total and I was out. As long as I receive the same service as my appointment, I will remain loyal to this place. I recommend to all first timers.
Well, my experience is excellent. Have been trying to find a legitimate tax preparation for years and proud to say this is it! No H& R block, no Jackson Hewitt. I'm going with this guys, Hongda and Gil. Excellent, knowledgable service. Hongda is very knowlegable and updated with current tax laws, of course he is a CPA and a very good one at that. Not some seasonal employees you find at the run-of- the- mill tax preparers on the strip mall. Gil makes sure you have all your documents in place, reminds y
4th year in a row getting my taxes done by these guys. Great experience and they are very professional and welcoming.
Great spot. They do a great job at explaining everything and educating you on taxes, the reason you're getting X amount etc. Or owing. Great experience, they are also very fast as well. Took maybe 45 mins only cause we were first timers. Prob would have only been 30 mins or less. Will be back.
I have been coming to Hongda Tax and Accounting Services for years now. Very professional, knowledgable, and efficient. I always highly recommend to family and friends.
Highly recommend been getting my taxes done with them for the last 9 years and never had no issues always professional best in the business
Very reliable team. Both Hongda and Gil are so nice. Highly recommended. ??????
Been using Hongda for about 4 years now. Every tax season is quick and efficient with him. Highly professional and helpful.
Fast and fantastic service. Been going here for a few years and they've always been able to answer any questions we have about minimizing our tax payments
I've been using Hongda Tax and Accounting for years. It's been good experiences and the cost is reasonable. Would like to recommend it to any other people in need of accounting services.
Very professional and thorough with their work. Excellent service. Doing good guys. Highly recommended.
Had been my 3rd year making my take here Great customer service ?? Price is affordable ?? Not far from from home ?
They are wonderful. They get you the most out of your return.
Efficient, professional, and patient. Answered all my questions in detail, and provide tax advice for the future.
Brilliant service and supportive staff.
Very rude and unprofessional... avoid at all costs
Excellent Service and Very Reliable
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
