Great place to base a NYC visit. The PATH train is literally at the front door of the hotel. The parking garage is too. The staff is courteous and helpful. The elevators are a little slow. It would be helpful if the rear elevator ran at all hours (it was randomly closed at different times while we were there). Our double queen room with city view was as advertised with an incredible view. The free breakfast was on par with hotel breakfasts?nothing award winning but it did the trick.

Great hotel. It's a converted old bank and has many charming vintage garnishes. Location is fabulous. A two-minute walk to the PATH subway station and the next stop is World Trade Center on the New York side of the Hudson. It was so convenient to have that station so close. Hotel was very clean and nice. The breakfast buffet was great, too. Always hot food like scrambled eggs and sausage, but you also got "daily" varieties like pancakes and french toast. Breakfast location was at the terrace on the 12th flo

The complementary breakfast was horrific. Loved the variety, but everything from the waffles, eggs, fruits, even the oatmeal was bad. The rooms are nice, but the walls were thin. I could hear my everything neighbor did from talking on the phone to a sneeze. I don't think he was loud; just poor sound proofing. However, I had a connecting room, so maybe it was just this particular build. Beyond that, the restaurant/rooftop is nice and the hotel staff were so kind and helpful. The location is right next to t

Spent 3 nights here before our cruise. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was very good with different options on different days. My only complaint is the laundry is coin operated and there is no change machine in the laundry room. The front desk was happy to exchange our bills though so wasn't really an issue.

Great view of Manhattan. It's obviously touristy and can be busy. You pay $20 per cocktail which isn't cheap, but the view makes up for it. A beer was around $14. I'd definitely go again. There's no table service so if you want to buy food, you have to order inside and wait. The food won't come out to the terrace which stopped me from ordering any food.

I've stayed at this hotel many times before and always had a great experience ? until now. During this visit, the staff at the rooftop restaurant, especially one female employee, was incredibly rude. She refused to help us make a reservation on-site, which I've done in the past without any issues. Later, she came over and harshly scolded us just for casually taking photos of the view. Her tone was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. On top of that, I found a strand of hair in the bath towel in my

Spacious, clean rooms and super friendly staff. Great location?easy access to Manhattan via PATH or ferry. Breakfast had plenty of options and an amazing skyline view. Walkable area. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for a week in February and had a great experience, thanks to Lucia from housekeeping. She always kept our room super clean and was so friendly every time we saw her in the hallway. Her warm attitude and attention to detail really made a difference. She's awesome?definitely one of the best!

Exceeded our expectations, great location, awesome view on NYC skyline. Paid parking garage at walking distance, train station too close by. Breakfast had lot of good options, overall we loved it

First visit on Saturday, May 3 using my free night certificate. Have to say what a great hotel, the front desk acknowledged me as a Discoverist and gave us 2 bottles of water. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for free and it was very good, coffee is excellent. Rooms as well as the bathrooms are large and up to date. Looking forward to next year.

Price for the room was high. And for early check in an extra $55 but didn't do that, we were heading into the city anyway and they held our bags. Opened the pull out bed to dirty sheets still left on pull out. Breakfast was sub par for an expensive hotel. Nothing good except the coffee. View was amazing and they had an ice cream truck on the river, which was nice. Convenient to the path and light rail. Nothing special about hotel. Very very expensive for 1 night

Price: Competitive Ambiance: Quiet Location: Great. Hotel is one Path train stop away from NYC?s World Trade Center. For Kids, there's a playground next to the hotel. Customer Service: Good Breakfast - Optional Room- Spacious & clean. Bathroom- Clean. Bathroom lacks a lockable door. It has a sliding glass ?door? that seems like an afterthought for a ?door? Electrical Outlets: Many Cleanliness: Hotel & rooms very clean! Wi-Fi: complimentary & fast. Nearest International Airport: Newark Liberty Int

Very convenient location. In my view, it has considerable advantage vs more traditional hotels in downtown Manhattan. Better air, much less noise at night and great views. Transportation to Manhattan is very reliable and quick, including by boat. The local restaurant is quite good, but could be crowded and slow for breakfast. The place has a general feeling of being very new, fresh and bright.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt House! The front desk was amazing and even upgraded my room?such a great surprise! The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the experience even better. My room was huge, spotless, and super comfortable. Plus, the location is perfect, with great food and walkable spots right outside. Highly recommend and can't wait to stay again!

I spent two nights there for a business meeting. Perfectly located at the river front, with stunning view over the NYC skyline, and just outside the PATH station. I was lucky to get a studio room on the 11th floor, so that basically I could rest at night without being disturbed by the tram. The rooms was large and clean, I only missed a large mirror. The service was kind but I found the breakfast to be really subpar for European standards, especially as the berries were clearly frozen and there was only one

If you're considering booking this hotel, you MUST read my review first. We originally booked a three-night stay here, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. For the first two nights, there was no hot water. We reported the issue to the hotel on the first day, but their response was completely dismissive. They told us that all rooms had the same problem and that nothing could be done until the manager was available the next day. Well, the second night came, and there was still no hot water! By this

Good location, close to Ellis island. Breakfast was good, tons of seating. Comfy beds, comfortable room. Parking garage next to hotel. Would stay again. Historic building with an old bank vault downstairs. Make sure to check it out.

Great location along the waterfront with amazing views of lower Manhattan. Very convenient to get into the city (Path station one-stop to WTC right outside of the hotel). Parking is adjacent to the hotel and reasonably priced with hotel validation. The rooms are spacious for a family of 4 (2 queen beds). The free breakfast was really good (plenty of options). Only gripe is the one working elevator and location of "front desk" which is on the terrace level (13th floor) and same level as the breakfast area wh

The hotel was very close to the PATH station, and that made it very nice getting around one stop to tue World Trade Center. The room HVAC was off upon a late arrival and it was hot in the room and took until 2 am to cool down. The iron did not work but everything else was great. Overall, no real view from my room but PATH rail access is very useful.

It's not the worst of the larger hotel brands in the country but it's close enough that I can't make a distinction. The elevators and the floor plan are obnoxious. I can manage any tea or coffee pot anywhere I stay, but not here. The rooftop bar is so poorly run that we left and went someplace else. The terrace level for breakfast feels like a zombie apocalypse. I don't hate many things. I hate this property.

Ended up with a last minute stay here for one night . Absolutely loved it ! Across the street from The path made a quick visit to the 9/11 museum so easy. The free breakfast was wonderful. Now my husband only wants to stay here whenever we come up to NYC!!! The rooftop was incredible . Parked across the street for $27 a night . Would 5/5 recommend !!

I stayed at Hyatt House New Jersey for 5 nights during my business trip to the USA, and overall, it was a great experience. Due to some issues, I had to change rooms three times, but the front desk team was extremely helpful in ensuring smooth transitions. They quickly addressed all my queries and made sure I was comfortable. As a nice gesture, the hotel team even sent me a sorry note, which I truly appreciated. Excellent customer service and a pleasant stay?I would definitely recommend this hotel!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our one night here. The location was great, coming from Newark airport, and being a block from the PATH train to Manhattan. It was so unique to have the lobby and breakfast on the top floor of the building - and it made for a great view. We went out onto the rooftop bar and enjoyed a beer before going out to dinner. The room and bed were comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good - they even had Lemon Lift tea, which we can't find anywhere near where we live. I ofte

The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a pretty standard hotel room and the bed was quite comfortable. The biggest issue was the room lacked lighting, making it difficult to get ready for an event. There was a single small bedside lamp that did not do much for providing light. We had family staying in identical rooms that had 3-4 table and floor lamps. We called the desk to inquire and were told that they knew there were missing lamps and that they did not have any more available.

I hate to say this, but this is truly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Upon check-in, the area felt chaotic and unsafe (my sister was aggressively approached by a gentleman who struggled with mental health difficulties). When we got to our rooms, they were malodorous. Someone appeared to fry fish in the kitchenette, which prompted housekeeping to put a fan inside and open the window. When we approached management about this (they had no idea), they gave us another room that didn't smell great. T

Throughout our hotel travels, Jaylen has been the only person to truly bring our requests to life! Knowing we'd be checking in late after a long trip and staying for a week, we wanted to be on a higher floor. Jaylen made a note of this, and when we arrived, both Cody and Jaylen worked together to get us the very top floor for our suite. It really took the stress off after such a long journey. Plus, we were greeted with lovely petals, which was such a nice touch! The suite is super cozy, though perhaps the b

I give it a 3 star total because the roof is closed till mid April and was not communicated as such. Was one of the reason I booked this hotel. The other is the rail line runs directly in front of the hotel and the trail bell rings every couple minutes. If you want peace and quiet pick a different location.

What a great location! There's so many picturesque views just outside. Our room is massive too, so the comfort is excellent.

Food was ok. Otherwise I would stay away from this hotel. Bathroom knob was rusted broken. Door would not close. Front desk declined to provide extra bath towels. Blankets were torn. Checkout process was horrible. We checked out on Saturday afternoon around 330 pm and did not stay second night. Front desk never marked us as checked out until next day.

Enjoyed our stay at Hyatt House Jersey City. Fantastic location directly across from the WTC. Hotel is directly next to both the PATH and light rail. Was able to get from the room to WTC in under 20 minutes. Staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very nice. Breakfast was good and is on the 12th floor terrace overlooking lower Manhattan.

Important to note this hotel is under major renovation. Lobby and restaurant are closed but no indication of that online when I booked. The hotel badly needed a renovation, and god I hope they do the rooms too. Really, this used to be (and may be again) and fabulous hotel, not because it's especially nice, but because it has the NUMBER ONE, most amazing view of Manhattan you will ever see anywhere. Hands down. And the food used to be quite good as well. Rooms kind of dated. Hotel front desk staff (at least

Dirty, uncomfortable. All couch cushions had stains and/or rips. Pullout bed was not possible to sleep on. Cheerios on the floor of the room, filthy floors throughout the hallways. Service was nice, but the managers would not answer, so nothing could get done. Stay elsewhere! Also no hot water on the 5th floor. This fiasco made my mother in tears during a special family weekend.

I am old enough to remember the communist era in Eastern Europe. The breakfasts at this hotel remind me of them a bit. Queues for everything and constant shortages of goods:-) A short breakfast time also reduces availability and causes irrytation. Folding sofas are uncomfortable.

It's on the waterfront in Jersey City, but most rooms have no view. My room was facing a laundromat with bright lights coming in to the room all night and right below was the light rail train with the incessant bell coming in most of the night and very early morning.

We had an amazing stay. Jaylan at the front desk was super helpful and friendly! We got the best New York pizza thanks to his recommendation. Our room was very clean and we got upgraded to a large suite. The location is beautiful right on the water and has great day time and night time views. It is also very walkable to many restaurants and fun places to go. Thanks for a great stay and hope to be back soon!

Check in was a breeze, the room we had was spacious and clean and the staff always helpful and happy to assist. The view from our room was great and the view during breakfast spectacular. The breakfast that was included always had a great selection of hot and cold inc. Eggs, sausages, bagles, toast, juices, coffee, yoghurt, fruit and cereal etc. Public transport is within minutes walking distance, there's a kids park close by, a CVS and some take away restaurants close. The light rail bell did occasion

We are Indian ???? family, our Visit to NYC become very convinient from this Hotel. The most important part is it's connectivity to public transport and downtown Manhattan NYC is just at next stop. The Hotel is at such a wonderful spot that you can enjoy the Manhattan NYC skyline whole day. My stay here was a wonderful experience because of their desk staff and housekeeping team, who are always there to support. Rooms are clean and big enough for a family, very safe and comfortable for kids. Kitchen is equi

We had a wonderful time at this hotel (family vacation). We loved the location and the suite room. We were on the 12th Floor with a superbe view thanks to the very large windows. We would like to thank Monica and the entire team. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. Thank you!

The Hyatt House is a wonderful boutique hotel located on the Exchange Place waterfront area in Jersey City. The views of NYC are spectacular. I reserved a King bedroom. It was for me very beautiful and spacious with a wonderful kitchen, living room suite. The closet is small and the counter space in the bathroom is small as well if you have a lot of makeup and toiletries. There is no magnifying mirror, but I always bring my own makeup mirror when I travel anyway. I was quite pleased with my experience. The

I'm from the area and stayed a night to celebrate my birthday back in September. I enjoyed my stay so much I brought my parents back for my dad?s birthday. Convenient location with easy access to the city and solid rooms but the true star of my experience is the hospitality of the staff. Caitlin and Mila are so welcoming! I'll definitely be back!

Throws all the stars at this hotel* TAKE THEM ALL! I organized a 40 person, international offsite in the Terrace space of the Hyatt House Hotel. We stayed in the rooms, held an offsite for 2 solids days, had speakers visit... the whole thing. 1) Professional as professional can get. From the check in, to the HVAC guy, to the AV company. Spectacular. Stellar. Literally flawless. Chef's kiss. Not one hiccup at all. 100% No Notes. 2) Mr Danny Perez!!! The Events and Meetings Manager. SHEESH! Danny should b

Would not recommend as a $250 per night business trip option. Room is good but you don't get daily room cleaning. Breakfast is one of the worst I have had in a while. Great location and friendly staff.

The hotel is great. The location is perfect you can descover New Jersey but also New York. But I'm not really happy with the service. On the first night we've asked for a blanket because we were missing one. They didn't give us a blanket and we were a bit cold during the night. We stayed there in a group of four. The sofa which you can turn into a bed wasn't really comfortable. Over all the hotel is well located but they need to work on the service. What I liked was the 24/7 gym it has everything you need an

We checked out on 11/26 after 3 nights of stay. I agree with other reviewers that property is in the need of upgrades. They don't offer house keeping on the daily basis. When you spend $300 plus a night , my expectation is clean room and decent service. On our last night there was no hot water and we constantly heard squeaky noise from the nearby light rail cars. When we got to the terrace at 5am, lights were off in the terrace area and it seemed like Front Service associate was sleeping somewhere and sh

Great place. Near 2 eco-shops, a safe metro-station, breakfast with a view on the Manhattan, cozy streets. It was the most beautiful hotel in my life.

It's a shame that for such a nice room there's zero sound proofing. I stayed here for a conference and unfortunately got zero sleep due to the noice from the hall and street. Horrible hotel experience and would not recommend.

The staffing is very hospitable as soon as you walk through the door! The facility is clean, & sanitary! Very family oriented! Experienced my birthday here over the weekend & Jackie & the staff sent a dessert along with a birthday card

Great hotel with larger than expected rooms. You cannot beat the rooftop terrace for breakfast looking out over the river and at downtown Manhattan. Breakfast was good for a limited service hotel as well. Location is right at the Path station and ferries for easy access to Manhattan and beyond. Only complaint was the street car going by was pretty noisy.

Stayed one night here. Friendly front desk, very nice to be upgraded to a King studio room. Room is spacious, clean, but sadly not view of Hudson river since it faced the building equipment platform. Very convenient location with just 2 min walking you can access the PATH line or NJ ferry to Manhattan. Hotel partyed with a parking lot which is just few steps away, rate is fine with $27 per night. Breakfast had a variety of choice and foods were good. Rooftop restaurant was having a party, which was very lo

There's a light rail stop right below the hotel. It rings its bell/horn coming into and leaving the station?every 4 minutes until 1am then again starting at 6am. If you're staying on the west side of the building it sounds like the stop is in your room. You won't be sleeping well here

The hotel is old, and you can tell that it hasn't had any renovations in a while. When I first checked in, I was "upgraded", when I asked the front desk "why?" she said "just because"... That was nice!... UNTIL I woke up to a flooded room and I could not get ready for the day (I was there for work). After they moved me, I got a much smaller room, which I was bummed about. The ONE thing that safes this whole "twilight zone-vibe" hotel is the rooftop. The food is amazing, and the view is breathtaking. The ser

Highly recommend!!! The lobby is not on Floor 1, but Terrance (top floor), so you get to see great view when you go check in. The free breakfast is also served there so you can enjoy the view while you eat. Great selection of food, but do get up early because the line can get quite long after 8am and you won't be able to get seconds before they shut it down. Our room was so nice, spacious like a studio with two queen beds. Much cheaper than hotels on the other side of the river. Location is great! Path tr

Do NOT book here. They have had multiple instances where they overbook and then shove a paper in hand and force you out. The management cannot seem to get their act in place while the staff on hand are left to pick up the pieces and deal with upset customers. Just book elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble. Edit: So I get forced into another hotel which they never made a reservation for and the other hotel is shocked and has to call this hotel and get confirmation to be able to book me a room and check me

The worst hotel you can ever go to!!! We asked for high ceiling windows because of our wedding and we booked the room 5 month ago to make sure we get this room .. and we told them we need it and all they kept saying is it's not guaranteed!!! The service is bad !!! We come in with so many bags and they didn't even try to help us!!!! Its ridiculous!! Please avoid this hotel at all costs !

Amazing views of NYC downtown. Rooftop bar has great food. The sliders were fantastic. The path station is right next door so you can be in the city in just a few minutes of leaving the hotel.

The rooftop bar is beautiful! Such an amazing view of NYC. Loved the drink selection too

Great clean hotel, smells perfumes in the air :) Location and the view of manhattan are the best ??

Modern, clean and nice hotel, with easy access to Manhattan thanks to it's closeness to a PATH station. Also, +1 for the very cool rooftop. The communication among the management team is not very good on the other hand. A room for 6 was prepared for 4, we had to ask for more towels 3 days in a row. The couch is very uncomfortable to sleep on, we had to request a mattress topper. Also, might hold 8k$ on your credit card because the person at the reception is not very tech handy. It resolved itself thankful

Rooms are okay, space is good but need updating. But the breakfast is terrible. At first the choice and quality of the food is poor. When you come to start the day and you want a relaxing breakfast forget it. To crowded so you have to find a place in your room or at a couche because they don't have enough space to sit down.....sorry???? When you complain about it you have to wait for the supervisor in the late shift.. That is not a relaxing start of the day. We went the last four days to Dunkin ?? the quali

I love this hotel. If you're coming to town to visit Manhattan, don't let the Jersey City location put you off ? it's quick, simple, and relatively inexpensive to get to the city on the PATH train or the beautiful ferry. Both stations are a short walk from the hotel. When you're there, don't miss the spectacular rooftop bar (one tiny downside ??the hours currently in the app are incorrect as of the time I write this. They were indeed open on Monday and Tuesday). I have to give special recognition to barten

Nice location with a gorgeous view of Manhattan. Nice tip to avoid Manhattan?s crazy hotel prices with a direct metro line to the island.

Amazing Experience. I worked with Brenda and Melissa in creating a room block for a local event and they were incredible. Very responsive, professional, helpful, accommodating, and friendly! They kept me updated every step of the way leading up to the day of our stay! They even asked if there was any one special in our group that I wanted to recognize such as a VP or CEO. The event is in Hoboken but this hotel is a great location because they have a Path stop nearby that brings you straight into Hoboken. To

It is a lovely hotel with modern rooms and a great location. Rooms have plenty of outlets and USB charging ports. The front desk is on the top floor, so checking in may take a bit longer than expected by the time you go all the way up and then head down to your room. The roof bar was closed the nights I was there. A wedding seemed to have taken over much space, so this may have been the reason why, but I was looking forward to having a drink up there at night. (Nothing posted about the closure.) The restau

Perfect stay at Hyatt House Jersey City; couldn't have asked for a better experience. The rooms and entire hotel were very clean and smelled fresh. We interacted with maybe a half dozen different staff members during our stay and all of them were super accommodating and professional. The location is superb and offers great views of Manhattan with multiple modes of transport for a quick trip into the city (high speed ferry or Path train). There's also a peaceful waterfront boardwalk area right outside th

My husband and I hosted our wedding here, and Eileen and her team are absolutely incredible! Eileen is professional, kind, efficient, accommodating, and has the most calming energy. She made the year and half I was planning my wedding so seamless. I never had to stress about anything because I knew she was on top of it. I am forever grateful for Eileen and her team for making my wedding day perfect. I could not recommend this venue enough!!!

The view is amazing. It's got nothing else going for it. I can't have service unless I'm having dinner? I'm seated and I can't order drinks? I will NEVER stay here again. I'm still a guest here. Until tomorrow and this has been an awful experience. Next time I have to stay up here I'll stay elsewhere. Beyond disappointed. Very upset I spent any money at all on this place.

The hotel is very well located, right above the PATH that takes you directly to the center of Manhattan. The hotel is rather clean and modern, and our room was also overall clean. However, the management is bad and the communication between the reception and the staff is poor. We had a reservation for 5, but the room was prepared for 4 people. We had to ask several times to get the correct number of towels. Also, they advertise rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people (2 large beds + a sofa bed), but the

Our new favorite place. Breakfest was extraordinary, front dest and security were helpful and nice, environment was clean and location was second to non for the price.

Just want to give a shout out to the General Manager, Michelle Giovanni. She goes above and beyond for her guests and she even knows them by name. I felt so valued as a guest when I stayed here as she constantly checked in to see how my stay was going. It is evident that Michelle has a passion for making her guests feel welcomed and valued. Beyond this wonderful service, Michelle has made it known that she gives back to the community every chance she gets. Knowing that I was able to stay in a hotel where a

On our first night, we had a terrible experience that made us feel like we were staying in a motel by the side of the highway. We could hear voices through the window as if someone was whispering in our ears. The lack of soundproofing was a major issue. Additionally, there was a bright light that entered the room despite the curtains that were supposed to block it out. As a result, my six-year-old had trouble sleeping and stayed awake until midnight, despite being exhausted. I spoke to the reception about t

Stayed here for a few nights last week, quick train to NY and was an incredible price compared to manhattan prices. Also so much more space and had a kitchen. What a deal. Friendly staff as well and awesome rooftop bar! Edit: I stayed a second time and had the same fantastic experience. The staff were so accommodating and easy going! Shout out to Eddy (or Eddie) for making my trip better!

If you want a more relaxed visit to the city with a good restaurant view of downtown Manhattan, this is the place. With convenient access to the red line, it isn't an expensive hassle to get to and from the main attraction. Rooms are great, clean, and stocked to live. Mini suite style is great for short term stays or those that want a little more room than just a bed and bath. They have a little convenience shop behind the desk, but it would be nice to have at least water bottles stocked in the fridge in th

On site staff lovely, friendly, and helpful. I support unions and I hope things work out for them so the Hyatt can get back some dignity and self respect as a nice hotel brand. Someone else's hair was waiting for me in the bed and shower. Size of the shower is large, which was nice. 2nd night I realized how dirty the carpet was so I was happy I wiped down every hard surface after check in, and committed to socks and flip flops. There is no mattress pad under the bedsheets which was wild to me. Any stain o

The front desk person was really helpful and cool. Our room would have been more acceptable if it were cheaper because I had several problems that In my opinion aren't huge issues but for what I paid for shouldn't have been a problem. ( Holes in the carpet, couches sunken in and very uncomfortable and bugs). I think they were more worried about their quasi club in the lobby area.

Had a great stay here. Solid rooms overall. The train is a little loud on the inner side of the building but that was my only ?complaint? if at all. Would definitely stay here again with how easy the PATH is.

We recently stayed here to visit family in Jersey City, as well as attend a game at Yankee Stadium. The location was ideal for transportation to all of our destinations. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The views from rooftop and waterfront walkway were breathtaking. At no fault to the hotel, there is a lot of construction right outside the main entrance which made things a little complicated at times. We also called ahead of our stay to request a room not on the side of the light rail to ke

Fantastic location. Decent sized, clean rooms. Service level fluctuated and depended on the person we dealt with. Likes: right next to PATH and light rail stations, so very convenient. Rooms were clean, and Washrooms were well stocked. Breakfast was delicious. The pantry gave some options for late night snacks and liquor. Staff was friendly and helpful for finding amenities and prompt in their dealing. Parking is available in the building across the street, and they validated for a discount rate. Dislikes

I recently stayed at Hayatt House New jersey and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. There were several issues that made my stay unpleasant: The staff was unresponsive and unhelpful. When I requested assistance with Water in the room,it took an unreasonably long time to receive any help and i didn't get any water for my room.the staff was so rude! There was a severe lack of communication from the hotel staff. Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay at Hayatt House New jersey I hope

Perfect location with a beautiful view of lower Manhattan. Nice piers all over for joghong, walking, etc.. Exchange center subway station is literally next door, so easy to subway, If you prefer using the Ferry to get the Brookefield Place or Midtown, that's a calmer more scenic way to do it, and the ferry is just a 5 mins walk from the hotel doorstep.

We used the Hyatt House for our wedding in September 2024 and loved every second of it. Perfect middle ground between a bare venue and a wedding Factory. Eileen the sales manager was an absolute delight to work with. She helped us craft the wedding of our dreams.

Loved my stay here. Room was clean and spacious. Walls are quite thin though but I was next to the path station and didn't hear anything at night. Views are amazing. Staff was relatively friendly. Easy access to path and to get into nyc.

Amazing location, felt safe, and absolutely perfect view of Lower Manhattan from the lounge/check-in. Service was amazing at check-in and check-out but lacked a bit at night which wasn't a big deal. The dining area is spacious and modern with more amazing views. The rooftop is more of a bar/club and has a lot more people coming and going. Overall an amazing experience. I definitely plan to stay at Hyatt House again

Great views of Lower Manhattan Next to Path station Rooms are decent but need some work, especially the bathrooms Service is ok Breakfast sucks Place is undergoing some renovation so they moved the reception to the terrace on the 13th floor You go up with all your luggage and after check-in again come down as all rooms are below 13th floor

People! Do not book this hotel, if you want to rest after a long day. Extremely loud nightclub, party all night long! If I would?ve known that, I would never stayed. Sonesta is cheaper and close to the station as well. Hyatt Regency also is a great alrernative. Gross experience. Never again. Had also hair on my towels. Pretty gross.

Location is decent. But the rooms are not clean. My comforter has coffee stains on it which they tried covering up with a blanket. Pillows are just as gross, they also smell and are barely usable too thin. Elevator to the rooftop always smells like trash. Breakfast is a joke, the food is almost inedible extremely dry. Only positive is the location but the trolly constantly dings so if you on the bottom 5 floors be warned of hearing it all night. Top 5 floors will hear the rooftop all night.

Very nice hotel with wonderfull view on NY. Perfect rooftop terrace with wonderful party and weekend party ( wxpensove deonks, entrance free). Rooms big with kitchen unit and clearing and nice bathroom. Hotel with testy breakfast and good location on PATH train, 5 minutes from WTC, 40 minutes from Central Park. Very nice, I would definitely come back

The rooftop staff isn't very friendly. The place opens at 4pm and they wouldn't easily accommodate a party of 2 for a cocktail in a seating area. We agreed to order some food and the hostess was playing on the computer for a few minutes to figure out where to sit us (mind you, the place was entirely empty). Great job Hyatt house for hiring the most friendliest/accommodating staff.

Don't be fooled by the pictures you saw online. In real person, this hotel is very rundown and runs by very bad management team: very rude and bad customer service, charged outrageously for their terrible breakfast buffet( and don't purchase their breakfast offered online); unprofessional and unhelpful employees - most of them looked unhappy and mean. I hate to write a bad review for this hotel: wasted my precious time and your time reading this. But by being a fair person, as who I am, I have to do what

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications should I look for in a CPA?

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.

How do I find a CPA in my area?

Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant?

A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.

How do I know if a CPA specializes in my needs?

Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.

Should I check a CPA’s reviews before hiring?

Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.

How can I verify a CPA’s license?

Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.

What questions should I ask during a CPA consultation?

Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.

How much should I expect to pay for a CPA’s services?

Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.

Can I work with a CPA remotely?

Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.

How do I assess a CPA’s communication skills?

During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.

What red flags should I watch for when screening a CPA?

Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.

Should I choose a CPA from a large firm or a solo practitioner?

Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.

Can a CPA help with both personal and business finances?

Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my CPA?

Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
