If you want your taxes done right and not to be charged an arm and a leg this is the place to go. They are always friendly and get the job done. *But if you want your taxes done in a normal amount of time that's where they lax. They basically say you're not that important there are other bigger accounts that are more important and they end up having to file extentions for you because your taxes get pushed aside. So if you want your taxes done within 2 months or pushing close to June this probably isn't the
I have been a client with Jonathan and his firm for several years. The level of service, attention to detail, advice and professionalism have been and continually to be, top notch. Over the years I have been grateful and extremely happy that Jonathan and his wonderful staff are my accounting team.
I met Jonathan in 2012 when I was in desperate need of tax prep for my small business and my personal tax returns. I got so much more than tax help - Jonathan is my trusted advisor and my voice of fiscal reason in my business planning process. He provides a clear-headed, practical approach to business planning that allows me to take considered risk with confidence. I highly recommend him to anyone who appreciates professionalism, honesty and attention to detail - all done with good humor and a friendly smil
Jonathan and his team are excellent! He helped me file mine and my husband's taxes. We have a bit of a complicated living and work situation, which makes doing taxes a stressful time for me. Jonathan took care of everything and answered all of my questions. I have total peace of mind about my taxes this year and highly recommend him to anyone who needs help/advice with tax returns. He's extremely knowledgeable and personable and his prices are very reasonable.
My experience working with Jonathan for my small business tax preparation and planning has been 100% positive and I've referred him to several friends and family and they unanimously say the same thing. I came to Jonathan after working for several years with another CPA who just wasn't able to get it done; my business was getting killed with tax expenses so I had to do something and Jonathan literally rescued my business. I had been overpaying taxes for several years and Jonathan was able to leverage that
I met Jonathan last year through my bookkeeper Lisa Wood. He sat down with me and gave me the time I needed to review my business plans and project for the future. Jonathan is very responsive and delivers on time. He has a extensive background and depth and breadth of experience having worked for a very large CPA firm. I have alot of confidence in Jonathan's ability and expertise and I highly recommend him.
I have been working with Jonathan's office for several years now. His office handles all of my business and personal returns and we have several K1s. Jonathan's team and his professional experience could really help you or your business elevate to the next level with strategic tax planning and strong relational access to a wealth of lenders. I always recommend Ucran CPA to my clients and business contacts without reservation. If you want the truth and to be pointed in the direction of financial heath, g
I met Jonathan five years ago when I had switched careers. Having little knowledge of managing finance, and starting a new career, I needed someone I could trust. Jonathan took the time to explain every step I needed to take moving forward. He wasn't quoting from a manual or giving a scripted pitch he had picked up from a seminar or a self help book. He was sharing his experiences as someone who had already made the early business mistakes and didn't want me to do the same. I knew from that consultation it
Jonathan is simply the best, there is no other way to put it. After meeting with Jonathan for the first time I left his office extremely encouraged and with tons of valuable information and guidance. As a new small business owner, I was feeling confused and overwhelmed by taxes, business formation, and payroll needs. In one meeting Jonathan changed my whole perspective and has been a huge help since! 100% recommended!
BEWARE: Jon misallocated a large portion of my income to PA in 2021, and when I sent him the notice from the state he told me not to worry, he'd take care of it. Now, almost 2 years later, I'm stuck with an 18k bill after interest with a tax lien. He acknowledged the mistake (because I didn't live or work in PA) and then told me I'm on my own, there's nothing he can do. This situation has been an absolute nightmare that I've been stuck holding the bag on.
Like many young fathers who bear the responsibility of managing the family's finances, I reached a point where it was critical for us to have guidance from a professional CPA. I found Jon through Google, called him up, and was instantly impressed by his genuine interest in my financial well being. Since then, Jon and his great staff have not only helped me get my personal finances in order but also helped me through the purchase of a small business. I highly recommend this business.
I?ve worked with Jonathan and his team for years. Always a pleasure to talk to and he breaks down the financial talk into a way I understand. Everyone at the office has helped me at one point of another and they are always so professional and polite, especially Jim! A great local small business that really knows their stuff.
5 Stars hands down. Jonathan personally spent time getting to know my business, and asked great questions to learn how to make sure I minimized my tax exposure and got more back than I expected. His team was detailed, and sent status emails to make sure we were always informed.
Simply amazing! Jonathan is the best. You save me so much money and sorted out all of my taxes. I'll continue to recommend all my friends and family. I've been told of accounts in the past but he goes above and beyond by far !!!!!!!
I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who needs assistant with their taxes for business, personal, or anything in between. Can?t thank them enough for their patience and help. Takes the weight off of busy business owners trying to focus on other tasks!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
