Kenneth Weinstein did a great job with my taxes. All my questions were answered thoroughly and explained. Their response time was very fast. I will be having Ken do my taxes again next year. I?m also pleased that I can support a local business.
A Truly Exceptional Accountant ? Above and Beyond in Every Way I cannot say enough positive things about Kenneth M. Weinstein, CPA, CFP. Working with Kenneth has been one of the best decisions I?ve ever made for my financial well-being. From the moment I became his client, he has provided an unmatched level of care, attention, and expertise that truly sets him apart in the world of accounting and financial planning. Kenneth helped me navigate an incredibly complex tax situation with remarkable ease and co
Hunter and Ken were exceptional. Very responsive and transparent with me about my tax returns. I appreciate the attention to details and ability to serve me during a busy tax season. I will be coming back.
I decided to go to Ken for my 2025 taxes because he had raving 5 star reviews, but I quickly realized that you can?t always trust other people?s experiences. I went to Ken in February, and today just finally concluded my tax struggles. Ken messed up both my state and federal taxes by THOUSANDS of dollars. Stating that I owed NYS A LOT but the federal government owed me EVEN MORE. It was a huge surprise to me when I received checks from both NYS and the federal government with amounts no where near what Ken
He's continued to fail to supply a simple K-1 letter for 4 months now on my parents estate so that taxes can be filed. We're lied to continually when we call inquiring about the form. He's only courteous when he's still trying to win your check, and then unresponsive. Very difficult to work with long term if you have any expectations of professionalism. I would not engage or trust him, nor would my father were he still alive.
Ken is an extremely knowledgeable and pleasant personal accountant. He helped me with my tax situation after starting a business and knows the ins and outs of exemptions, and ways to not pay what you shouldn?t have to. I would recommend him to anyone!
This is my first experience with Ken and it was a wonderful. He was prompt to reply to my initial call. He made an appointment that worked with my busy schedule. Ken is very personable, easy to talk to, is extremely knowledgeable, listens and had me aligned with the entire process. I absolutely plan on using his services again and strongly recommend him.
Ken Weinstein is incredible. In past years I have used online tax services (gasp!) to file my taxes but on the advice of a family member, decided to give Ken a try. I am SO glad I did. Ken took the time to sit down with me and really get to know me and my situation and got me the largest refund I have ever received? and the fastest! I received my refund in the mail almost immediately. I will also be seeing Ken for my financial planning and I am beyond excited to start that process. The office was centra
My family and I have been working with Ken for years now, we even continued our relationship after moving out of the area. Remotely, the process was even simpler than before. He is always there to answer questions and does his best to maximize our refund!
Used Kenneth for our Small Buisness Taxes. Fast response time and even checked in on us to remind us about certain documents. Sat down to explain the best way to file and what to keep track of. Would highly recommend and will continue to use him for our Small Buisness Taxes.
reliable staff! easy to work with.
Wow is what I have to say. Been using Ken for years in our family businesses/personal for accounting. Ken goes above and beyond for us. I truly can't say enough about him and his staff. Very grateful to be able to work with someone as knowledgeable and caring. Thank you!!
We have been with Ken for many years, and we find him to be efficient, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. He promptly returns messages and keeps us updated on important matters. - Cheryl DiVita and Rachael DiVita
I am not sure where to begin. I have been referred to Kenneth Weinstein by another amazing person who helped me to get my business plan done. She raved about Ken as a cpa and so I decided to try him. What a genuinely amazing guy Ken is. He has not only took me as a client but took me under his wings to help me get everything from POS systems to transportation, talked to the SBA team on behalf of me to everything I needed to get the business started. He has checked to see how I am doing every step of the way
Been using ken for the past 2 years for accounting & financial planning. He always has good advice, timely reminders on tax season and resombly priced life insurance Thank you Ken
Ken Weinstein and his very knowledgeable staff have helped my business grow and ensured I am both profitable and compliant. Excellent service and highly recommend!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
