I?ve been working with Larry for years, and I can?t recommend him highly enough. He handles both my family?s taxes and now my small business, always providing clear, accurate, and thoughtful advice. His expertise and professionalism give me confidence every tax season, and I trust him completely to guide me through any questions or challenges. If you?re looking for a CPA who truly cares about his clients and delivers excellent service, Larry is the one to call!
Larry has been an excellent tax advisor to me and my adult children for almost a decade. He and his superb staff are knowledgeable, responsive and a pleasure to work with. His computer system for client tax accounts makes tax preparation, filings and payments very easy.
Larry & his staff are exceptional! My husband & I needed a knowledgeable, competent and and capable CPA...and Larry is that and more! We would recommend him & his office to anyone.
When I needed some accounting and tax advice on the creation of a company, Larry made himself available within a day and helped me navigate with clarity the different steps involved.
I met with Larry in person multiple times and found his accounting insights current and helpful. I am also good friends with other clients of his who have had excellent experiences. Larry has deep experience and is ready consistently with new advice on how to better manage tax liability. I'm honestly confused by the negative reviews others have posted. Perhaps they didn't want to pay their taxes and took their frustrations out on the accountant. I can at least support that he provides a professional servic
Larry did our taxes last year but this year was the first time I met him. I did see the Google Reviews here but my wife had a good experience with him last year. Larry spent two hours with us not only going over the documentation but explaining in great detail exactly how our tax return was being broken down. As my wife and I are currently involved in several different businesses, he also advised us on how to currently break down our earnings to put us on solid ground for next year's return. Based on my exp
Larry has been wonderful to work with. He is very knowledgeable and professional.

Larry and I have know each other for 11 years. In that time he has guided me and given me advice not just in business matters but in life. His vast knowledge and understanding of tax law amazes me every time I have seeked his input. A lot of accountants just crunch numbers. Larry takes the whole picture into consideration.
Larry and his team have helped us with trust and estate filings for several years. Larry is a pleasure to work with, he and his team are very professional, and they have always delivered high quality work.
I've been using his services for many years and in the beginning he was helpful but as my company started to grow and made a profit,,, it almost seemed like he resented that and stopped being helpful. He really doesn't care about his clients, he cares about over charging them and making a dollar at every turn. And when mistakes from his office was brought to his attention, he got upset at the client. We hired a new account and he's great. Do your company a favor and do not use his services,,
Larry and his staff are incredibly preofssional and patient. I have worked with him for over 12 years and always appreciate his insight and knowledge. They truly go the extra mile and are very approachable. I highly recommend this cpa firm.
The other review featured on this site helps explain the poor experience I had here. This office is irresponsible, uncommunicative, and sloppy, with potentially serious consequences to the client. We had to point out errors in our return multiple times, which he corrected without taking any responsibility himself, instead blaming his assistants. He misfiled our state paperwork and (unbeknownst to us) our refund was rejected; he then refused to answer any emails and left on vacation without a word. We foun
We found them very sneaky with the money, they quoted us in person one cost to do multiple years tax returns including this one, then they tell us four days before the tax dead line that there are additional costs for this years return. We sent multiple emails asking for a final cost without a response. Edit: It?s years later and now your responding. I?m not wasting my energy on you and your crook practices/ways any more. Bottom line is you can?t be trusted, simply as that. Thanks for making your clients
Don't bother with this accountant, he's more interested in helping himself then helping his clients.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
