Lee Ann is a pleasure to work with. She provided us with a lot of helpful tax advice during our new small business startup, and has been very responsive to questions throughout the year. She's also been wonderfully flexible about meeting virtually this year and gives us all the time we need with no pressure. We have been very happy with her services, and with our year-end tax situation because of her help.
As a business owner, Lee Ann is an amazing asset. She does an incredible job of understanding our business and explaining our tax obligations and deductions with patience and knowledge. I highly recommend Lee Ann...I wish I could give her 10 stars!
We chose LeeAnn for our business and personal taxes and without hesitation recommend her highly. One of our biggest headaches was the paperwork involved with our small business. Between reports and insurance audits to completely handling all of our tax needs she has lifted a huge burden off our shoulders. We have used LeeAnn for the past 5-6 years and truly wish I found her 20 years ago !! I can honestly say we don't make any financial decisions from buying company vehicles to investing without a phone call
Top notch! Lee Ann is on top of everything for me and my small business and is very helpful in making sure I get all the deductions I?m allowed, many I was unaware of and would have lost money trying to do them myself! She?s quick to respond when I have questions and is very patient and understanding with her responses and always very informative. I?ve been using her for several years and couldn?t imagine ever going elsewhere! Highly recommend!
Lee Ann has been doing my taxes since 2017 when I became self employed. She completes my tax returns and answers all of my questions promptly and professionally. I would highly recommend Lee Ann to anyone looking for a CPA.
Lee Ann is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She got back to me with answers to questions and a very helpful worksheet for tax deductions for my home office the same day. She is friendly and open to answer any random questions I may have.
I moved to the area two years ago and found Lee Ann online. She is very knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Answers all my questions and responds to emails quickly. She has done my taxes twice and I couldn?t be more pleased. Thank you Lee Ann!
My husband and I visited to do our tax returns and we had a great experience! The process was quick and easy, and Lee Ann was very friendly and professional. The office was very easy to get to; it is just a short distance from route 2.
Lee Ann Nault has a vast knowledge of income tax for corporations and individuals! She successfully guided us through an audit , filed amended returns to correct errors from previous accountants and continues to share advice to ease the stress when tax time rolls around!
Dear Lee Ann, We relocated to Massachusetts approximately three years ago and our decision to utilize your services as our tax return preparer was the most rewarding experience, after living in New York all our lives and using the services of another CPA for over 27 yrs. Your knowledge in preparing our tax returns for our real estate business has been most impressive and your expertise and advice far exceeded our expectations. We truly feel so fortunate in having you as our accountant during the last thre
Overpriced and not very thorough. I could see it may have been to much for her. 200 dollars is alot when everyone else does it for a 100 faithfully. I would not recommend her if your looking to maximize your return. Went and seen another CPA and not only is his price 100 dollars but also got us an additional 1500 on are return. Thats pretty sweet. Very nice lady but not to do my taxes.
Lee Ann provided an Agreed Upon Procedure for our corporation. Very responsive, knowledgeable and kept to our timeline & budget. A pleasure to work with!
Lee Ann does an excellent job. Thank you
She was so pleasant to work with.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
