I have not had the best time dealing this company. Things started out good when I was first signing up, the spokesperson was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable. However, just a week after signing up, my husband came into a large amount of money and was able to pay off 1.5 of my debts. We decided that we no longer wanted to continue with Liberty Debt Relief as we are now on track to paying off all our debts by end of next year. In the beginning Ray Cole was informative and told me I could get a LOAN for the amount I needed at 0% interest. I thought that was strange since my credit was already starting to suffer from being behind. I thought well they will get there money by negotiating for a lower payoff on my cards and the difference would be their fee. Well obviously that was NOT the case. But oh well. I get paid on the 15th however, it does not hit my bank account until the 16th. I mistakenly told Ray the 15th for the bank

This Company will repeatedly lie to you and deceive you. They say it will take about 3-6 months initially when they are trying to convince you to use there service. Then they will say that's not correct that it is 6-8 months, At that time they will again lie and say its a minimum of 6 months and that they should have a settlement very soon? for me it has been over a year, about 14 months and they are just now settling the very 1st acct. I have used Liberty Debt Relief for the first time for my major debts. In a course of under a year they have settled my largest debt of $12,000 and their installment payments are so low. Fees are very low as well. This company is very transparent and trustworthy where they even provide you a portal to monitor your debt progress with your creditors and are awesome at follow up. Better communication about what is going on during the negotiation process would be good. Beyond one text message saying that the department was looking over the settlement offer from the creditor I did not hear anything for over a month. I did appreciate that when we wanted to modify the amount of creditors on the program, the people working it were very easy to work with and was very up front with what would happen. Overall good program, they make it clear up front what costs are.

It took many months until the first settlement was negotiated even though I had put in substantial extra funds. I am now hoping that further negotiations will take place in a more timely manner.

I can say that they kept me informed of every process and asked my approval on each step. They replied whenever I had a question. And they have a team specifically to appear for any court matters that may occur due to debt settlements. All in all, they have been taking care of the issues as agreed at the rate agreed upon.
