Working with Magnum Advisors has been an absolute pleasure. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for their clients are unmatched. We had a complex tax situation in 2023 due to the closure of a business, and needless to say ? it wasn?t a simple transition. But their team guided us through every step with clarity, patience, and precision. They not only made the process manageable, but they also gave us confidence every step of the way. We couldn?t be more grateful for their expertise a
I wish we could say something nice about Magnum advisory however they are definitely not compassionate towards the boomer population. This review is on behalf of my parents. They used a former accountant who retired and sold the business to these jokers. Whenever they would call and ask a question, the magnum advisors would be rude, short and condescending when my parents were confused about any technology aspects. My parents have a small business and tried working with them all year and are sick and tired
My wife & I had some current and prior year issues with IRS that we needed reliable, informed, and reasonably priced service. When we found Magnum Advisors 3 years ago, they worked quickly to resolve those issues. The two CPAs at Magnum are honest, pleasant to work with/listen to. I referred my sister to their services & they do her taxes as well as my wife & mine. I recommend Magnum without any reservations. Their service is customer-friendly and has always been helpful.
Magnum Advisors was very helpful with our nonprofit organization, updating our financial documents and completing and filing our federal and state returns. Amanda Girton provided prompt and accurate service and our bill came in under the original projected cost. Our foundation will continue to use their excellent service.
Fantastic experience with Nathan at Magnum Advisors. Very knowledgeable in tax strategy for small businesses. Nathan took the time to understand our priorities and long term vision early on. He then helped us implement a tax strategy and small business structure to meet that vision. Highly recommended Magnum financial if you?re looking to optimize an existing business or get one off the ground.
Partnering with Magnum Advisors turned out to be a stellar decision for our financial well-being, touching everything from our personal finances to the business's bottom line. Nate and Amanda, the partners at Magnum Advisors, bring more than just their CPA titles to the table; they bring a wealth of knowledge and a genuine commitment to our success. Their expertise spans the full spectrum of financial matters, from intricacies of personal tax to the complexities of small business accounting and strategic ta
Magnum Financial took over the prior accountant services we were using. Nathan and Amanda are very knowledgeable and professional. They suggested changes that affected our accounting status. We ended up saving thousands! I highly recommend Magmun Financial for your accounting services. You will not be disappointed. Their pricing is reasonable and they will work with you. Communication is key and they communicate very well. Thank you!
I've had Magnum Financial complete my taxes since they acquired the services from Doug Wilson. Nathan and Amanda have kept the professional services, diligence, and advisement and then some that Doug provided to his clients. Whether you're in need of personal or business returns, I would suggest contacting Magnum Financial Services first.
Magnum Advisors were proactive and responsive to my questions despite the fact that I reached out only a few days before my taxes were due. I was facing a difficult tax issue that I had never encountered and I'm glad they were able to help.
Nathan was very helpful in assisting my family. He provided clear instructions and turned around our tax documents quickly. Their pricing was fair and saved me a lot of time this year. I will use Magnun Advisors again next year.
When I moved to Maryland, I needed help with my Maryland and Delaware taxes. Nathan and Amanda were expert with their advice and help. I highly recommend Magnum!
Nathan has been wonderful to work with! He is extremely responsive and helpful. We highly recommend Magnum Financial Services for anyone looking for a business accountant.
My tax situation got a bit more complicated last year than I was comfortable handling. I decided not to take a chance with Turbotax, and went to Magnum. I was totally satisfied with the work they did. I will continue ti use them in the future.
Was great working with the Magnum Financial Services for my accounting needs. I had lots of questions and they worked with me to figure out what was required for tax season as well as file.
Magnum has done a great job with my tax return every year. Amanda is prompt to respond and very helpful.
Look no further. Fantastic accountants. I have known Nathan and Mandy since 2016. They are honest and will give you advice for the future. They aren?t just talented at what they do, they?re amazing and an absolute pleasure to work with.
Incredible accountants, my wife has been using Amanda for a few years now and she is very pleased. Always professional and always looking out for our best interests. I would definitely recommend.
Always on time, extremely professional, helpful, most knowledgeable of the tax system, and reasonable payment for the services provided. Excellent service
Nate is a very friendly guy who answered all of our small questions. We will be going back
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
