MCP & Associates - Accounting & Tax Firm

Our accountant of 19 years announced early January she would be retiring after a 40+ year career with her husband. This gave us time to seek a new accountant through friends and work colleagues. I found MCP & Associates was close to home so made contact with Brenda who leads her team. I explained our situation and need of a change. She helped us get setup quickly with their tools and once we had everything to her in early February her team did our taxes quicker than our prior experience over 19 years.

Does not answer the phone. EVER. Unless you are a new client and she?s getting business. Do not recommend if you?re looking for a responsive and communicative tax firm. We have called Brenda over 50 times to get in touch about one question and no response. We?ve tried everything to contact her.

She has fought the IRS and the state for us when they have demanded money and instructed their people on the tax laws. This was the first time I used MCP and associates and I have to say it was probably the worst experience I've had in a long time. I brought my paperwork in on February 5th and it wasn't submitted until April 15th. I sent several emails and left several voicemails over the months and occasionally I'd get back an email response which generally was just a sentence. She filed taxes on the wrong company, refused to correct the issues, and then wanted me to pay $700 for her mistake.
