Morgan & Associates is an excellent CPA firm that is fast, efficient, and responsive to any inquiries while managing my tax needs! They are also competitively priced and have an easy-to-use interface that allows everything to be uploaded and/or downloaded conveniently. I recommend them to anyone looking for a new CPA firm or a first firm. No business is too small!
Morgan & Associated helped me immensely clean up and complete my taxes. The people I worked with were always bith professional and supportive. I cannot say enough good things about the team they have put together there
Excellent experience with Morgan & Associates. Highly recommend. Lily has been so helpful, kind and efficient. The entire team is great. Thank you!
I've been a client of Morgan & Associates for over 12 years only because they are trustworthy, know their business and great to work with
Shouts of praise to Morgan & Associates for their accurate, caring and client kindness. Justin Barnes and Rachelle are outstanding!!
Have had Morgan & Associates do my Federal and State taxes for several years now and I am always impressed. My spouse and I are usually out of the country in February and March; this year we were unable to get our documents to them until April 2nd and they were still able to complete the filing on time. Lilly did excellent work for us. Rachelle Block, the Office Manager, is always very helpful, efficient, and friendly. It is a pleasure to work with this firm and everyone associated with it.
My wife and I are first time clients. We have a travel agency and personal tax's. Larry and Rachael were excellent in every way, communications, execution and great results! I will recommend them to our friends.
Very positive and easy experience working with Joe and this business. He is very kind, quick to respond to all my messages, and processes my tax-related tasks in a timely manner. Working with Joe has taken all the stress out of taxes for me!!
Justin exhibited a high level of knowledge. He was readily available to address my concerns even through phone contact. I have enjoyed working with Mark but I?m giving Justin a chance and so far I feel very comfortable and safe.
Team was excellent, efficient, timely, knowledgeable with detailed information and communication thanks. BMW
Jason was quick, efficient, and helpful. He answered all my questions, and got my taxes done 4 full days before he promised! The whole process was super simple and VERY affordable. I would definitely tell all my friends to use them!
They are friendly, personable, and willing to answer specific questions and not be bothered by them. I mean any question. They answer questions by email in a timely manner. Professional and they do a complete job. They provide a comprehensive workbook that you fill out for them to complete your return. Very reasonable prices. They helped me at the last minute in April in 2022 with a friend who suffered a hardship and needed to file a return. I highly recommend them.
I do like how efficient having the electronic files for the returns. I would ask/recommend a couple things: 1. When sharing our returns with us, is it necessary to include all the worksheets in addition to the actual return? One of my files was close to 30 pages and I like to have printed hard copies; 30 sheets is a lot! 2. If someone has to pay taxes, please include links and instructions to make payments. In the past, even if filed electronically, my accountant would provide a paper voucher in the
Greatly appreciate the professional, courteous and prompt service from James Cook at Morgan & Associates. Highly recommend this CPA firm to other nonprofit organizations.
I?m always happy with their outstanding service.
Morgan & Associates have prepared my taxes for the past six years. Their job is always efficient and they're pleasant to work with.
Seamless online experience with a personal touch! They helped me file both my personal and business Taxes with restructuring as needed. Highly recommend, knowledgeable, trustworthy, convenient, efficient!
Justin did a poor job with our company. He does not meet customers needs. He did not respond to emails for weeks, he didn't seem to know how to work with people well. He told us things that were not true. When expressing dissatisfaction the company was dismissive, will not go back next year. I would not suggest this company
Being a small business owner, I feel safe and secure knowing that Bill and his entire team have my back! They are always there to answer my questions and to assist me with planning for the future of my business. I highly recommend Morgan & Associates!
Morgan and Morgan CPA's have been fantastic to work with over the years. After bouncing around to a few different CPA's trying to find someone I clicked with and knew how to handle a rental portfolio, I found Morgan and Morgan. Eric Stage, Bill and Blaire have always been very helpful with everything I have going on. Responsive and proactive when it comes time to file my returns. A+++
Great tax service and value for cost! Their team was super helpful in navigating the complexities of owning a small business and optimizing my write offs. I will be using again next year!
Jason is very knowledgeable and efficient. He is very easy to work with and he answered our questions in a timely manner via email or phone calls. Very pleased with his work!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
