BEST ACCOUNTING FIRM EVER! Steve Pribramsky has been taking care of all my accounting needs for almost 20 years. When I first came to Steve my taxes were in a total state of disarray and he got me back on track. He has professionally and carefully handled not only my personal finances and the complicated taxes of both of my unconventional businesses. His firm really cares about their clients, and everyone I have worked with there has responded quickly and knowledgeably whenever I have reached out for as
Pribramsky has been doing my taxes since 2011 and they are worth every cent for their services.
If you are looking for an outstanding accountant, look no further! After starting a small business building fiberglass boats in Key West, I quickly realized that I needed to find a CPA to help me navigate the intricacies of small business accounting, payroll, and taxes. I contacted Pribramsky & Company for assistance and Steve Pribramsky took my call. From the onset Steve understood the entire situation. Steve developed a strategy that would allow me to focus on building boats and not get bogged down in
Steve is responsive, efficient and professional. I enjoy working with him! Even when I had waited until the last minute, he responded kindly and helped me resolve my issue quickly. He's extremely knowledgeable and combines that with a friendly personality that is very easy to work with.
First time I ever needed an accountant - only because of the death of my brother, Gene. Steve was great to deal with. He explained everything and estimated the taxes I'd have to pay long before the need to file came around. I just got a notice from the IRS, and out of over $32,000 I owed in taxes this year, be was less than $50 off. Well worth what I paid him. Everyone I dealt with there was very helpful. Since I'm from out of town (250 miles away), I thought it might be more complicated than it turne
After struggling through tax time for many years, I contacted Steve Pribramsky whom I'd met through working at the Key West Citizen newspaper. From the beginning and to this day, both Steve and Chris have gone out of their way on numerous occcasions to take care of me. Quite simply, I'm the unorganized type and spend my time making photographs, not keeping track of expenses and revenues. But when springtime rolls around these days, I needn't stress about my taxes, I know they have my back. Lastly, it would
I spoke with Steve yesterday, and he was absolutely awesome! He answered all of my many questions, was extremely knowledgeable, and steered me in the right direction. I finally had piece of mind over an issue that had been bothering me, and have a clear path forward. I highly recommend this company, and Steve.
correct, he did void past due invoices, for 2 months, invoices I did say I will pay for. however, after deciding to work with another accountant (even that I worked with them of and off for 7 years) I guess I wasn't allowed to ask what is it that I'm being charged for. this was an "harassment" and I was threaten I would be sued for that. I believe in this country, I am allowed to ask what I am paying for. thank god, I am no longer in key west, and here in Miami area there are a LOT of CPA that are charging
Professional, prompt, and made our tax season worry-free! Thank you, Steve & Kelly!
The best in business. Thanks for excellent customer services.
Excellent, professional service. Friendly staff.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
