Customer Reviews

Earlier this year, I researched and recommended my parents (retired) to start working with Prosperitas. My parents have been working with Robert Clark from Prosperitas for a few months now. I have attended every meeting with them. Prosperitas has been nothing but kind, helpful, respectful, smart, thorough, and overall incredible - since the start. I love this boutique firm's commitment to service and financial understanding for those without financial literacy. My parents are relatively new to financial pla

Prosperitas Financial takes a different approach to the way they handle wealth management. I met with Chris Ingram years ago to discuss my financial future. Chris was so patient with me and he explained things in a way that I could understand. He didn't care that I had so little to work with at the time. I feel like I left his office with a solid plan and an understanding of how things work. Through the years as the business has grown, I still see the same level of customer service and personal touch.

There are not enough stars to rate how I feel about Chris Ingram and Prosperitas Financial. Life changing is not an overstatement. I have referred them to my entire family and many, many friends. I have been with Chris for well over 10 years and there is no one I would trust more with my investments. Katie and his entire team are wonderful. 100 stars for this organization!!!

Robert Clark at Prosperitas Financial has been our advisor for about a year now, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with his services. Robert took the time to sit down with us and create a plan that was truly tailored to our needs. Not only did he develop a solid financial strategy, but he also designed a life insurance policy that fits us perfectly. His professionalism and constant availability to answer all our questions have been amazing. We highly recommend Robert Clark and Prosperitas Financial to a

Prosperitas Financial is fantastic! They stand above the rest because of their individualized care and attention to their clients goals. Chris and Robert are class acts and I am very grateful for their help. From consolidating fiancial data into one portal to other services such as 401k and insurance, they offer advice and support without being pushy or upselling. If you're looking for a place to start a plan or looking to upgrade your investment portfolio, Prosperitas comes highly recommended!

It has been a wonderful experience working with Robert Clark. After our original meeting, he presented me with a personalized financial plan that would help me reach my financial goals. It wasn't a generic plan that most financial advisors give you as he included other investments such as real estate in my plan. He has gone above and beyond to make sure I am a satisfied client. From taking the time to meet in person to sending me videos reviewing my account, he always makes me feel like I am a priority. I e

I highly recommend working with Fred Wachtel of Prosperitas. He is professional, trustworthy, and incredibly smart when it comes to managing your portfolio. He "eats his own cooking," as he likes to say, and it makes me feel like I'm truly in the hands of someone who has mine and my husband's best interests in mind. Fred is also personable and easy to talk to, which for me is a huge "must" in a financial advisor. I cannot recommend Prosperitas and Fred enough! Thank you for your help.

I want to thank Fred, Brooke and the whole team at Prosperitas. They built a financial plan that keeps track of my progress toward my retirement goals. They also went beyond the basic financial advisor and showed where I needed to protect assets with life insurance and disability. They have a great team over there, going over things that you never think about until there is a problem. Fred provided full, one-stop service which is very much appreciated in today's busy world. Really happy with Fred and his te

Chris Ingram & his company Prosperitas Financial are professionals you can trust to get your plan in place, set goals for your future & keep you accountable to make those dreams happen.

I was introduced to Chris 15 years ago when I was still in high school by my dad. At the time, I had inherited a couple thousand dollars from my grandma after she passed and my dad thought it was important that I meet with his financial advisor just to get a better understanding of what kind of services Chris had to offer. Little did I know that that initial meeting with him would begin an amazing relationship. What I think I value the most about Chris is he doesn't talk to you like he knows more than you

Our experience with Chris has been outstanding. He listens to our desires and make adjustments accordingly and we have had great results with our investments. Recommend them highly to assist you in your financial planning.

I can't say enough how amazing this company is. I truly don't know what I'd do without the help of Robert Clark. You need help he's your guys no questions asked!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications should I look for in a CPA?

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.

How do I find a CPA in my area?

Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant?

A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.

How do I know if a CPA specializes in my needs?

Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.

Should I check a CPA’s reviews before hiring?

Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.

How can I verify a CPA’s license?

Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.

What questions should I ask during a CPA consultation?

Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.

How much should I expect to pay for a CPA’s services?

Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.

Can I work with a CPA remotely?

Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.

How do I assess a CPA’s communication skills?

During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.

What red flags should I watch for when screening a CPA?

Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.

Should I choose a CPA from a large firm or a solo practitioner?

Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.

Can a CPA help with both personal and business finances?

Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my CPA?

Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
