Pat is amazing - I have multiple business and she?s taken the time to sift through them - going above and beyond what you would expect from any accounting firm!
Patricia and her team are phenomenal. They have helped me get everything squared away with my small business. They are quick to respond and always willing to go the extra mile. I recommend their services to anyone.
Our experience with this CPA was absolutely horrible. Nothing was done correctly and we're stuck now fixing all of the mistakes. Some of the mistakes were as simple as not marking a tax form correctly and happened multiple times. I'm not sure how they are still in business are able to "help" people with their taxes. Please do not put yourself through this. It's a nightmare and even after parting ways we're still finding out more that was done wrong. Also when you question things that are not making sense, s
I am beyond grateful for Mandy and Pat at Provident Accounting!! They not only do amazing work but they are great people to work with. I will continue to recommended to others!!!
I have been so pleased with my experience at Provident Accounting. Kurt and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, reliable, professional, and proactive. They?ve helped my company save thousands and are committed to its long-term success, all while making sure I thoroughly understand their recommendations. I wouldn?t trust anyone else with my company?s financials ? would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tax professional to help them grow!!
Absolutely phenomenal service! Going after a dream can be a daunting task not knowing which business to select. However, Pat and her genuine care for me and my dream has created a lifelong partnership. She wakes me through the LLC process, provided context for when a shift in filing status would be needed, offered accounting, payroll services when needed. She is the BEST! Mandy is the consumate professional, she listened to me and I know being with Provident(Pat Mandy and team) IS the ONLY choice!!! Thank y
Explained how tired I am of accountants never having any time for clients. They totally sold me. Once the collected $600 as a deposit they ignore you and never respond to emails. Good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone during and after tax season. Worst tax experience I?ve ever had. Especially for $1200. I?d rather pay $400 to my previous accountant and receive the same treatment.
I am a business owner and entrepreneur and use provident accounting for all of my taxes, bookkeeping, LLC/S Corp set ups, etc. Michael and his team are the most helpful accounting group I?ve ever come across and never fail to make sure that my businesses and taxes are organized, in order, and proper. They have helped me to maximize my annual returns as well as reconciliation of my books. They are always available to answer any and all questions either myself or my employees have and always take the time to
We are so pleased that we contacted Provident Accounting and especially happy with Kurt's service and expertise! He is wonderful to work with and helpful with future tax planning. We will definitely return next year and will refer our friends! Thank you Kurt!
Provident Accounting provided me with excellent, quick, painless service with my taxes. Having just become a real estate agent - not only having to do my personal taxes, but now also for my PLLC, Michael and his team made it smooth sailing for me. I will not use another CPA for my taxes, Provident is the way to go!
Kurt Dodge is the best! We are so happy that we went with Provident Accounting Services this year for our taxes! We had a complicated filing situation with a growing family, student loan debt, public service loan forgiveness qualification requirements, home ownership, retirement funds, etc. We certainly didn't feel confident doing it on our own. Last year, my husband and I filed jointly and did our taxes ourselves. We ended up having a huge amount due and even bigger student loan payments every month. But
They do a great job for me month in and month out. Very responsive.
The whole Provident team does such a great job keeping all information organized and reporting in a timely manner. When I have questions about taxes or accounting throughout the year, they are also always quick to help and I appreciate their expertise!
Year-in and year-out I always trust my taxes to get filed with Kurt. I had a complicated file this year with starting a new business on top of my regular job and Kurt talked me through every detail and I received the highest return possible. If you file with Kurt, you work with a detail-oriented professional that takes the time to explain the daunting task of filing your taxes. Kurt also takes the time to inform you on where you may be losing money. He recommended an IRA switch for me that will save me almo
This was our third year utilizing Provident Accounting and every year I am more amazed about how great they are. Their services are streamlined, very efficient and very quick turn around. You will not be disappointed.
I filed for the first time without using Turbo Tax this year and I am SO thankful to have found Kurt. As 2019 was a year I finished school and began my professional career, I wanted to make sure my taxes were filed correctly. Kurt was so patient with me as I had a million questions. I was shocked (in a good way!) at my return for the year. I think if every tax professional were like Kurt then people wouldn?t fear filing.
LOVE Provident! They are always available to answer questions and take the time to walk through any items I may need to discuss. Wonderful partners.
Garbage, wanted $1200 for personal and business taxes, wouldn?t recommend, sat on my business and personal taxes for 3 months, then decided to call me. Then decided to ask for another $ 1000 dollars when they didn?t even finish the first job I gave them. Doesn?t seem like a committed firm, I think they take on multiple Clients then 3rd party the work out and charge and arm and a leg. Not a good place to go for small businesses. Don?t waste your time.
This is my first year filing as a non w2. Provident has helped me set up my PLLC, file taxes, and keep my monthly expenses organized. Thank you for all of the help, highly recommended! :)
Very professional and helpful accounting firm that can handle both personal and business tax filings as well as helpful business structuring for tax planning. Very personable and helpful - small enough to give the personal touch but big enough to get things done quickly. Give them a call.
Pats been more than helpful. She?s guided me to Restructure the previous business model to what we are performing now. She?s on top of her game all the time as I ask a ton of questions.
Kurt performed a detailed audit of our books. He was responsive, thorough and detailed in his completion oft he audit. Provident is my go to accounting firm for taxes and book keeping.
Both Michael and Kurt are fantastic. They are very patient and will answer any question you have. Extremely thorough in making sure you are doing all the right things for your business financially.
Kurt is great to work with. They do the book keeping for my small business and I couldn?t be happier. I would recommend them to anyone.
Thanks to Provident Accounting for being awesome and helping me set up all my LLC's. I want to personally thank Michael and Pat for always being there and helping every step along the way. Thank you
Kurt is the guy you need, my PLLC was set up in under 5 days, they moved quickly and really explained the benifits of an S-Corp, couldn't be happier!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. TOOK THEM 90 DAYS TO ASK FOR MORE MONEY. OF WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID IN THE BEGINNING. DID NOT WORK AND THEN WANTED $2200 DOLLARS FOR A PERSONAL AND BUSINESS TAX RETURN. AND HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY THE LAZY EMPLOYEE WHO ISN?T DOING THE WORK ,, DOES GREAT WORK WHEN? When she decides to call and ask for $1000 dollars more to do her job ? Instead of completing the work and then asking for additional, monies.
I?ve been using Patricia with Provident for a while now - absolutely recommend them. They?ve been extremely helpful with steering my business in the right direction.
Mandy, Pat, and Michael are all great to work with ! I highly recommend their services to anyone looking into them.
I really appreciate how knowledgeable and detail-oriented the Provident team is. Great accounting firm, I highly recommend them to any business owner!
Provident is always available to answer my calls, I had a smooth process with them.Kurt is amazing!
Pat was amazing, handles my monthly books and she is always available and very detailed.
Very professional and communication couldn't be better.
I needed an accountant that understood pivot tables and outsourced corollary duties and I was more than satisfied with them!!
Great service! Patricia is very helpful and always answers any questions we have in a timely matter.
Patricia was hardly any help. Thanks Kurt for helping me out
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
