Really unprofessional. Prejudice against Vape shops. They are a CPA service that does not take clients "Like Me." Heard that over the phone. If you like being judged based on what kind of small business you have/run. Call these guys. Just wanted taxes done for my family owned small business, thats a vape shop.
I?ve worked with Eric and his team for a little bit over a year. They are always responsive and professional. I would highly recommend them.
Eric and his team at Seattle CPA Professionals are top notch! Eric prepares taxes for my local small business, my LLC, and my personal tax returns. He is pleasant, forward thinking, and helps guide me in a positive and lucrative direction when handling my ever increasing funds. :) I would highly recommend his services!
I've worked with Eric for nearly 6-years. He's been vital in helping my small business meet its tax obligations, take advantage of credits, and guide hiring decisions. His responses are punctual, professional, and efficient. I'd highly recommend anyone looking for a CPA to consider the great staff at Seattle CPA Professionals.
I recently made an appointment with Eric at Seattle CPA Professionals. He was very accommodating making arrangements to meet immediately. Eric was able to address my tax issues with a clear and concise plan. Showing strong attention to the details. The professional atmosphere and his easygoing demeanor are a perfect combination. Rates are affordable and Eric's great use of our time maximized results. I was very pleased! I would highly recommend Eric if you are looking for a competent, responsive tax profess
The first year I worked with Seattle CPA Professionals, they saved me several thousand dollars in taxes. Eric Kauppila is easy to work with and a great communicator. As a small business owner with clients across many states, I need someone I can trust to file my taxes and advise me on the best course of action. I highly recommend Seattle CPA Professionals.
Erik has been extremely professional and helpful in my financial needs. He continues to guide me through being a new business owner while giving great suggestions to aid in my success. I highly recommend him to any business owner. I will continue to use him and already feel less overwhelmed at the idea of filing next years taxes.
Eric at Seattle CPA Professionals has been handling my business and personal taxes since 2009. He actually advised me on the most advantageous ways to structure my LLC and the various aspects of payroll, taxes, etc. Since I've been working with him there have been no glitches and no surprises. And any challenge that has arisen, Eric has handled efficiently, confidently and without drama. His rates are reasonable, he is personable with a great sense of humor (find THAT in an accountant!!) and he makes the w
Eric is AMAZING!! As a small business owner, it means the world to work with someone who knows everything you need to do before you even show up. Super knowledgeable, affordable, and worth all the time and money. After my first meeting with Eric, I had a plan for my future tax return, how to handle my current situation, which all lead me to being ahead of the game and still in profit mode. WIN WIN. Look no further :D
Eric made doing our tax returns fast and easy. His rates were very reasonable and his communication fantastic. He also got us a great refund - we were extremely happy with Eric and Seattle CPA Professionals. We'll definitely come back next year.
My friend referred me to Eric, I spoke with him and he very generously gave me all the information I needed as a first time business owner tax payer. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism, and he was a nice person to work with. I would highly recommend.
The first and last CPA you will ever need. Eric has helped me start 2 businesses and been INSTRUMENTAL in keeping them thriving through the start-up process, and helped to assure their continued success EVEN as the pandemic disrupted social behaviors and economies at every level. If you want a consummate professional that listens to the needs of you and your business, and rises to meet those needs without breaking a sweat, Seattle CPA Pros is the place to go.
I would highly recommend Eric. I am a small business owner and Eric has helped me save in taxes by helping me file as a S-corp instead of PLLC. He also is doing our personal taxes and has been a joy to work with. He is knowledgable, personable, and goes above and beyond to be helpful. My husband and I would recommend him and his team to anyone!
Eric is a true professional. I called his office out of the blue for just a quick assessment on wether or not it would make sense for me to go to him for my needs. He listened to my situation on the phone, was extremely friendly, and advised me of the best course of action (which didn't entail utilizing his services as it turned out). If my situation ever changes I would not hesitate to give him my business.
Eric has been helping us with our taxes for several years now. Let?s be honest, filing yearly taxes isn?t exactly fun, but Eric always works quickly, streamlines the process and keeps us in the loop. Highly recommend - thanks Eric and team!
It was a breeze working with Eric to come up with a strategy for my LLC's taxes. Plain and simply, Eric and team helped me save thousands of dollars. Highly recommended, especially for independent contractors.
5 stars all the way!!! This is my third year working with Mr. Kauppila on my personal and business tax return. He is a friendly and smart tax / finances professional who is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Mr. Kauppila and his staff are very efficient and are incredibly good at communication. He takes the time to make suggestions about both your taxes and your overall financial strategy, and makes you feel comfortable asking questions. I highly recommend their service to anyone without any hesitation.
Excellent/precise accounting firm! I called and searched online for a great firm to work with & over the phone Seattle CPA Professionals were the most clear with my needs. Upon arriving I was warmly greeted by Eric & the other staff to start & had all my questions answered & am now prepared going forward for tax prepping & other tips to keep my business operating smoothly. I highly reccomend Seattle CPA Professionals for anyone needing professional help & advise!
Eric quoted me $400 for each personal tax return amendment and $600 for each business tax return amendment. Given the nature of the revisions, the prices were on a higher-end, compared with other CPA firms. Nevertheless, we proceeded with Eric. I paid $600 on Aug 7th, my business partner paid $600 on Aug 8th, and I finally paid $800 on Sept 23rd, 2019. Eric amended the business tax returns first. Business Tax Return 1 (Amended) ? It still had simple errors like retained earning did not match the books etc.
Seattle CPA Professionals are hands down the best CPAs I've ever worked with. I started with Seattle CPA Professionals on my first business, then was so happy with everything I moved my personal over to them. I'm starting a few new businesses soon, and I plan to use Seattle CPA Professionals on all of them. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend! Eric helped me save money with my small business income taxes and most importantly helped me feel calm and confident moving forward with my small business finances.
I wish I'd decided to work with an accountant earlier! The CPA Pros team was very easy to work with and helped us a ton on our tax return. They know how to navigate the tax system, provide clear guidance, and reliably get things done.
Eric and his team are fantastic for both personal and business purposes. They saved me thousands on my taxes this year! Much more knowledgable and helpful than my old CPA.
The team at Seattle CPA Professionals offer a full-service experience for both personal and small business needs, delivering accurate, timely, and thorough expertise, all served with a friendly and welcoming demeanor and backed up with authority and experience. Highly recommended.
I called Eric to see if his services would be applicable to my situation. He took a moment out of his day to direct me to another service provider. Integrity is key in business this guy has it.
They were dismissive and couldn't even bother to answer a simple question because they weren't looking for new clients. Clearly they are not professional. It's poor business practice to treat people interested in your services that way, regardless if you need their money right then or not.
I can't believe how quickly Eric was able to put my mind at ease about my taxes. Courteous & professional & knowledgable all the way!
Incredibly helpful and responsive. I am glad I made the switch - makes tax season so much more bearable.
Very experienced and knowledgeable. Skilled communication by those on staff made process easy.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
