I had great experience in the past with Kerri who has since left. The current staff gave me the wrong advice and has been charging me inflated fees to resolve the issue. Example: charged me $320 for a call with IRS that they claim had no hold time and nothing could be resolved as the return wasn't processed. When asked how they could have spent 120 mins on that call, they gave me contradictory, defensive non-answers. I would not work with them again
Robyn and her team have worked with our family since 2007. They are friendly, professional informative and always willing to help answer questions. We have referred others looking for a great CPA to Silverbridge. They know their industry oh and they communicate did I mention that prior? :) seriously they are awesome!!!!
I have been working with Silver Bridge CPAs for many years and have had a great experience throughout. Their services are outstanding. My adviser Kerri is highly professional, fast, responsive and has of course deep expertise in all tax related questions. I personally have recommended Silver Bridge several times to friends and colleagues. Highly recommended!
Our firm has used Silverbridge's CPA services since 2016 and have been very happy. We recently began using them for our bookkeeping as well and are so pleased with the thorough, prompt, and responsive services we've received!
The gang at Silver Bridge is wonderful. They have a passion for helping others and you know that the minute you speak to them. You will never feel like a number but that your needs and time is valued. I have personally worked with Amanda Winn and she is outstanding. Give them a call, I promise you will not be disappointed.
Robyn has been truly great to work with for us! We do most all of our accounting in house and turn in a very complete set of books every year. Our previous accountant would never return calls and filed for multiple extensions every year causing our personal returns to be delayed as well. Robyn has yet to have to file any extensions in two years.
Robyn and her staff are awesome. Ann at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. We moved from Ga and have used them for our small business each year. I always recommend them when asked who we use for accounting services and setting up an S-Corp.
My name is Tom Young from Key Design Websites LLC. We are an 8 year old company who recently engaged Silver Bridge CPA to take over our accounting needs. Silver Bridge CPA's has had a profoundly positive effect on our business. We are very pleased with their fast response times, the ideas they have proposed have saved us money, and above all they have helped us to better understand our bookkeeping and plan with us to develop our future business growth. This isn't just about hiring a CPA, its more like we
I was given incorrect tax advice and it caused me a lot of problems. Not only was it bad advice but they want me to pay $75 for it. I was told to use an old EIN and it has been a nightmare to undo this bad advice. I have a new CPA who is still helping us clean up the poor advice from Silver Bridge.
Love working with Silver Bridge! Very professional, patient and kind. Kerri has taken such great care of our company. We appreciate her so much! Thank you!!
We started using Kerri as our CPA years ago when I was totally at a loss of what I was doing. She has helped me SO much and I appreciate all she has done for us over the years and continues to encourage me. Thank you!
I absolutely love Silver Bridge CPA's, they have been such an amazing resource and have saved us money and provided us with amazing advice. Thank you Kerri and Team! Rock Stars!
Highly professional and extremely personable! Looking forward to being a client for years to come. Chondra and Amanda are great to work with!! Brett Clancy Christian Brothers Automotive
Professional, Courteous, Knowledgeable and Thorough! We have been using their services for several years, no need to go anywhere else.
I couldn't be more happy with this company, they really care about our business and work hard to make sure everything is done correctly.
Molly is a genius! That's all I'm say'n.
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
