I'd like to state that Brian with Strada Financial did an excellent job in preparing my 2023 taxes. We were referred to him by my brother. Even though he was thoroughly booked , he made a spot for us! He is knowledgeable , very experienced and easy to work with! We look forward to keep working with him on taxes and possibly future investments!
I was referred to Strada Financial Group by a trusted business associate in need of a reliable tax professional. My initial connection with Brian Harris over the phone was positive, and he handled my taxes for the past three years. However, my overall experience has fallen far short of expectations. This past summer, I received communication from Multnomah County that I had not filed for a previous local business tax year. This prompted numerous calls and emails to Strada, with minimal response. Strada's Brian Harris is the best accountant I've ever had! He is just so sharp with all the details, yet he is also very personable. He's a truly gifted professional who is unfazed by deadlines. This is the second time I've been down to the wire due to circumstances beyond my control. But when pressure is the worst, Brian is at his best. I can always count on him to get the job done on time! He is well-supported by other Strada staff members who support coworkers and clients with great teamwork.
I started using this business back when they were Gorge Capital, and continued after they changed their name to Strada. Without a doubt, the financial professionals at Strada have delivered fantastic service at a great price, making what would otherwise be a stressful time (tax time) into a wonderful experience. But it doesn't end with just taxes. If you need retirement planning or otherwise sound financial advice, they do that too! I would happily recommend them to anyone thinking about using, needing, or
Strada did my taxes this year for the first time. They were easy to work with, quick and thorough. I love that financial advise is part of what they do as well, which will help me long term. Seamless process. HIGHLY recommend them for tax preparation and financial advising!
My wife and I were promised a review of our small business finances by Strada to potentially become clients, We waited two months with no reply and when we finally got in touch with Strada (after days of calling and leaving messages) we were given excuses as to why they could not take us on as a client. Don't waste your time with these folks, they're too busy to take on new clients and too cowardly to be up front about that fact with potential clients.
Susan Martin has been our tax preparer for 10 years and we love her. Strada is good with reminders and offering great information, so I can arrive at our appointment prepared. This year we have been disappointed. Susan seemed to be way overwhelmed with the volume of returns. Our taxes have always been completed in a week to 10 days. This time it was 6 or 7 weeks. Plus the cost increased by 35.00. We may reconsider next year.
This is the 3rd year I?ve employed Strada to do my taxes. After a personal Get To Know You interview, they notify you when to get started collecting tax info; they notify you when it?s time to turn it in to them; they call you and make an appointment for their report of the work they?ve completed. If you?ve done your part, sit back and relax!!! Of course you have to pay for their services, but it?s worth it. They?ll see me again next year!!
Strada Financial Group prepared our tax return for us and we were very pleased with the service and quality of our tax return. Lindsay Holmes was able to find tax deductions that saved us a significant amount of money.
Since meeting Brian a few months ago we are extremely pleased working with him and his staff. They are knowledgeable, friendly and experts they have done a fantastic job working on our taxes and our investments. The honesty and responsiveness is fantastic. The knowledge that they possess is the best. We are extremely happy to have them as our financial advisors and tax preparers.
We have used Strada for several years for our taxes and we have always been very pleased with the efficient and speedy service that we have received, Lindsay Holmes has done a great job with our tax situation!! Always open to questions.
Susan Martin is our hero. She is kind, patient and informative. For years we used either Turbo Tax or H&R Block. I had too many questions this year to use TurboTax and I have not returned to H&R block because I lost confidence in their work. Susan speaks with you like you are a person and never speaks down to you. Susan has done my partners taxes for about 4 years and I have always tagged along and have been impressed. For the SAME COST of using H&R block you can sit with a full-time CPA, in an office with
Brian and his team at Strada are Top Notch! We have used them for 10+ years for our very challenging return, over 30 states this year, and they always do an amazing Job. I highly recommend them
I only wish I had been taking my taxes here years ago! Great customer service and extremely knowledgeable associates. I will be recommending and referring Strada to all my friends and family.
I can count on accuracy and trust when I deal with the people within the Strada Group. They are fantastic, friendly, and concerned about ME and MY life. Couldn't ask for any better people to be associated with.
Strada is precise, personable, prompt and available to help with any questions. They have worked with me for years. I would recommend to anyone !
Great people, friendly front desk and extremely knowledgeable. This is my first year using Strada and we're glad we made the switch.
Lindsay has been a blessing to us for almost 20 years now in handling our finances and we are forever grateful. Mahalo Lindsay and SFG!
last year i had to call to get my materials after jan, this year i had to call to get my completed forms 5 weeks after my appointment. and $50 increase this year for this fine company.
I have been using Strada for the last few years and have been extremely satisfied. Very responsive and knowledgeable.
The quality above says it all: Good Quality, Good Value, Very Professional, Responsive. In addition, they look after your accounts or taxes with you personally in mind.
Brian and his team are the best!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
