Robert is simply the best. BTW- I am not a friend or relative. I've been going to Robert for 6 or 7 years and he's always been extremely professional and kind. He might not get back to me immediately during tax season but who in their right mind would expect that? He's not taking new clients, so that's all you really need to know. He's got loyal clients that aren't going anywhere.
Be aware Robert Smith is unprofessional, I'd decided to try him, due to the fact, reference by a good friend. Long story short, nightmare experience, he was never available for me to talk, over phone. Emails, were sent, numerous times, ignored. I'd left my phone number 3-4 thru email to reach out, rejected. If so when calling his office, assistant picks up, " how can I help you, he's with a client ,right "?. Literally each time I pick up dialed his office. 2 weeks later, sent me an E File IRS for my taxes, i
Andrew is the FN guy. Been going to him for over 10 years. Always has answers to my questions.
Hubby and I have been going to Dolores for 8 years, and she has been wonderful. Great personality, friendly, and Very professional, Tax Solutions stands out among their track record of going above and beyond. I highly recommend Dolores in Tax Solutions.
I have been going to Robert at Superior Tax Solutions for over 20 years. He makes certain that I get the maximum return that is owed to me. I highly recommend him.
We have been going to Robert for 10+ years, and he also does taxes for our small business. I highly recommend him. He always gets us the best refund possible, and his services are well worth the cost of preparation.
I have been filing my taxes here every year with Dolores. She is the best. She is very knowledgeable, quick and takes care of me each time. if you are looking for someone that is reliable, trustworthy and great at what they do ask for Dolores!
Robert is the guy here. He has prepared my taxes for 8 years. I was single mother and he always got The right amount for me. I got married and now my husband and I do our taxes with him and follow all his advises to the letter. Nice and honest person.
Andrew smith is the man to go to! I've done my taxes with him for 2 years now and i am always satisfied with my tax return. Easy, fast, and great customer service!
Terrible business practice. Very rude and unprofessional. They incorrectly submitted my return and had to amend my tax return twice which will cause me to have to wait 12 weeks for my return and used the incorrect number of dependents. This will affect my stimulus check and cause hardship for me and my depends. My hours at work have been reduced. I was not offered an apology only that I can file for unemployment which was said by Tom. The owner Robert said nothing he can do and hung up.
Robert Smith is a great tax preparer and always looks out for my family. He is a really genuine person and I highly recommend him to friends and family
This always been my go to for my tax, Robert been my go to to person, long before he moved to Fountain Valley. Always been happy with my returned.
Robert and Andrew have been doing my taxes for 15 years! They are the very best and what they do and it's always a pleasure. Thanks guys!
I had my taxes done here a few years ago and these guys ripped me off. I took their word for it when they told me their fee, then when I got my check it turned out that they took $100 more than they said they would. Unfortunately, in the mountain of paperwork with tiny writing they had me sign, they hid the amount they were actually charging so I had no way to fight it. I will never go back.
Robert is very knowledgeable & helpful. I've referred countless family members & friends to Superior Tax and I always will. They know taxes!
Always a great experience with Andrew! Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I have been a customer for about 10 years! I highly recommend this place 100%

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
