Tax Comp

Hoping this review will get a faster response than my emails and calls. Our family has been with tax comp for 3 years and this year has been the worst. Mike does not return phone calls, emails and has you wait 1-2 hrs after your scheduled appointment time before you are seen. My appointment was a month ago and I have still yet to hear from them even though I have made many calls and left messages with Mikes staff. I would look elsewhere if you?re looking for a reliable, accurate and prompt tax office.

We have been going here for the last three years, every time we go there they are always very helpful friendly and definitely courteous, their prices are very low and definitely a great alternative to other companies we?ve used before. If you?re looking for a tax preparer Who will take care of your every need definitely give these folks a try. Buy local, shop local spend local. $440 to do a simple 1040!? Yikes. I don't think I will be using this firm again. Not to mention they charge 3% to pay with a credit card.

I've been getting my taxes done by Micheal for approx 23yrs now... love their quality of service. I would give 5stars except the past 4+ yrs the wait time is extremely long, sometimes 2+ hrs.... but I do trust his work 100% which is why I stay despite the wait.

He was able to root cause the issues quickly, communicated effectively with tax authorities and resolved all my pending open notices with Federal and California State Tax Authorities. I was faced with a tax problem that was a nightmare for me. I had not filed for multiple years, the Feds and the State were not being sympathetic. First time here. Lisa helped prepare our taxes. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. The environment is very clean, the whole staff is friendly, and they even have some delicious little snacks in the waiting room. We will definitely be returning here.

After 15 years with Tax Comp, I am sad to see what Tax Comp has become since Jimmy's retirement. I had an appointment at 5pm on Saturday, it was confirmed twice on Friday and Mike Kamio ghosted me. I emailed after 5:30pm wondering if he was going to call me and still no response. I then sent two emails asking if my appointment was going to be rescheduled and still no response. This is the 2nd year we have used Tax Comp. Lisa was friendly, easy to work with, a true professional, and got our returns done in a short time. She returned our phone calls or answered our Emails promptly. Also, a friendly and helpful staff. We will use Tax Comp again.

Mike is absolutely the man. I've been going to him for years. I've already sent him about 20 coworkers. 100% of them would recommend as well. Ask for Mike. He'll take care of you.

Not happy with the service my wife and I received from this agency. In short they charged me well near $700 for a $700 return but at first telling me I was getting $6500 back. Got a letter from California claiming tax comp had put in the wrong numbers on my return. Have sent numerous emails with no return call or email. Very unprofessional. My POC here was Mike Kamio

Stay away from this place! Especially from Mike Kamio. I made an appt at a specific time with him and was not seen til 45 min after! No apology and was arrogant the whole time! I know better tax preparers that'll charge half of what they do and show better results and respect.

Was tried of feeling just like a paycheck for other places checked out yelp and this place got the best ratings around. Set up an appointment and arrived and was surprised to see that they were waiting for me and that they set aside a whole hour just for me they talk to me about every question that I had, ways to save more money next year and also how to maximize my return this year wonderful service will be coming back every year

Mike is the best!! He goes above and beyond to make sure he gets the most out of your return. I have referred so many people to Mike and they have not been disappointed.

I have been going Tax Comp for the last 20 years they are very efficient and knowledgeable you can call them with any business question or questions about your savings your IRA your retirement account and they are always willing to answer any questions you have they are worth going to and sticking with them.
