The Tax Prose team, specifically Carolyn and Robert, were invaluable to me during my transition into purchasing my business. They provided insightful advice and gave me clear options to choose from whenever I hit a crossroads. I used them for my business bookkeeping, accounting, and tax services, as well as personal tax services. I also met with them once-per-month by video call. Thank you all!
Stephanie, Carolyn, and team are exceptional! We have (to us, anyway) a very complicated tax situation (multi state, multi income stream, etc) and the Tax Prose team did the heavy lifting in making sure our taxes were filed with ease. They have an online scheduling system you can use at any time to pick a time to meet with their team, so you pick who and when, and that's it, super easy to schedule. I appreciate not having to make a call to schedule a call! Both Stephanie and Carolyn were thorough, efficien
My company was referred to Stephanie by our financial advisor, who is also amazing, and he was spot on. We spoke to her and felt an immediate comfort and connection to our business and personal goals. Stephanie and the Tax Prose team are organized, intelligent and incredibly knowledge and up to date on anything to do with our tax planning. We learn something new every time we meet with Stephanie and she and her team really looks out for our business. We look forward to many more years of working together.
Stephanie at Tax Prose was highly recommended by my attorney, best advice ever. I was afraid to tackle a long term tax issue, but Stephanie and her staff are pros(e) at this, fighting to get me the best deal possible with reduced penalties. I have every confidence in this group, they had my back and they'll have yours too.
My reason for first reaching out to Tax Prose was to help with mistakes I made with self-filing. They were able to communicate with the IRS and California FTB to rectify my situation. My reason for staying a customer for my yearly filings is because of their expertise, professionalism, and personalities. I enjoy and learn from my conversations with Stephanie and the team. Highly recommend.
Five stars! Exceptional Service and Expertise! Let me tell you, Tax Pros Inc. is a game-changer! I used to dread tax season with my old accountant, but this year was completely different. Their team, especially Stephanie Anderson, was amazing. They listened patiently to my situation (as I'm an owner of multiple businesses) and explained everything clearly. They even found an automotive deduction that I totally missed, saving me a bunch of money! Anything that helps me finically with my cars is always apprec
Stephanie at Tax Prose is AMAZING. She is an absolute genius when it comes to taxes, and she is super helpful at explaining your options and helping you understand how to get out of a sticky situation. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She will work very hard on your behalf.
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE STEPHANIE!!! In addition to being so kind and friendly, she helped me IMMENSELY to get through an extremely messy tax situation. In 2019, my sister had passed away and I inherited a property that we (my sister and I) had inherited from our mom when she passed in 2006. It turns out that Jess and I had been doing our taxes incorrectly for years. Stephanie and her team went through nearly a decade of my tax returns to sort out the mess and figure out what we owed for a VERY reasonable price
Tax Prose Inc amazingly turned my tax nightmare around. My situation was complicated and Stephanie and the team put the WORK in! The quality of service was stellar and I am so grateful! This star rating stops at five but they deserve 10, so here are the other 5 ?? ?? ?? ?? ??! You're in good hands with Tax Prose ! ???? Ms. Tracye ??
Stephanie and her team have been so helpful throughout the process of starting up my business. I am very grateful to have found Tax Prose Inc when I did. Their guidance, tools, and communications are relevant and have helped me breathe easier during tax season.
The Tax Prose team has been great in helping me elevate my understanding of tax planning. Stephanie is wonderful to work with and has made the process of lowering my taxable burden easy to understand, plan, and most importantly, achieve. I consult with Stephanie for tax advisement with regards to my various businesses, which involve: real estate, healthcare, crypto trading, and Bitcoin mining. I have no reservations about recommending Stephanie and her team.
I had a great experience! I was behind a couple years, and my returns weren't necessarily the easiest. Communicating was easy and everything was done electronically meaning less time I had to take out of my very busy full time work/single mother days. I highly recommend Tax Propose Inc! Thanks again :)
Stephanie and the team at Tax Prose are amazing! They are patient when answering questions and get the job done!!! I've been working with them for the last year after starting a small business and Tax Prose has been there every step of the way. Thank you Tax Prose!
Stephanie and her team at Tax Prose have been an absolute godsend to me. I came to her with quite a hefty job and she made it manageable and gave me real piece of mind. And she and her team are always so responsive and kind.
Stephanie and her team completely changed my life. I'm so grateful to find a solution to what has been a huge mental burden. Her thoughtful and simple explanations to my complex Tax problems have been nothing short of amazing. Wish i would have found her sooner and cannot recommend her enough.
I made an initial contact with them to schedule an appointment. I got a response from Carolyn and after responding to her email I never got a response. I attempted to emailed her back a few more times and I was ghosted. To me this is a red flag and probably not a place where you would want to do your taxes.
Stephanie and the staff at Tax Pro?s are absolutely wonderful! They are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I know I never have to worry about my taxes as long as they're available!
Stephanie's tax planning saved me tens of thousands of dollars. I highly recommend her services, incredibly knowledgeable about the subject!
Consistent top notch service. Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable with everything tax related? and more.
Stephanie canceled my business during Covid and I've been wondering what happened to her.

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
