I've been working with TDK for years?first for my personal taxes, and now for all my business accounting and tax returns for my insurance agency. Nick and Scott are absolutely amazing! They are knowledgeable, responsive, and always take the time to ensure everything is done accurately and efficiently. As a business owner, having a CPA team I can trust is invaluable. They?ve helped me navigate the financial side of running my agency with confidence. Highly recommend their services to anyone looking for top-n

I?ve been going to TDK for all of my financial needs for many years and have referred several of my family there. Terri is always looking out for my best interest and making some sound financial decisions on my behalf while the ladies that work behind the scenes are just so sweet and kind. I highly recommend TDK Financial
My family members have been using Terri at TDK Financial for years, and I finally had the pleasure of working with her myself...I had a life changing event in 2023 that moved me back to Michigan. My first appointment was in August 2023, and all I can say is great things. Terri is extremely knowledgeable in what she does and listens to your concerns. When making suggestions, she explains everything and answers all your questions. Working with her has made my life easier when it comes to taxes and planning fo
Terri goes the extra step for her clients. She has advised n guided me . She's compassionate n understanding. Thank u Terri for being there at any time. Her staff is also helpful
Great place to work. Love our clients. You should come to our office and give us an opportunity to help you with your bookkeeping and payroll services also personal taxes, financial planning. Hope to see you soon.
I've been dealing with Terri and her staff for over 20 years, first for my taxes & then for my retirement planning. Terri is extremely knowledgeable, professional & has always exceeded my expectations when handling my financial affairs. Patti, her receptionist is also the sweetest and always greets you with a smile or takes your calls with such a pleasant attitude, it's just so refreshing!!
Terri and her team are a life saver! Terri and her team provided tax planning tips when filing my return and ensured that everything was filed timely while answering all of my questions. TDK also cleaned up my Quickbooks for my business. I would definitely recommend to all business owners and anyone who wants their tax return filed accurately.
I have been going to Terri at TDK for my tax prep for over a decade. Always professional & knowledgeable. Over the past few years, our marital taxes had gotten quite complex during our time as business owners, and the current pandemic mixed into that had made for a very frustrating experience with the IRS and our amended tax returns. Terri and her team were great to work with through the struggles, and she was helpful in leading the resolution by getting us assigned a tax advocate and working with them to g
Thank you Terri and Patti . It was a pleasure working with you . Really appreciate your professionalism, timely communications , work quality and your thoughtfulness. I highly recommend TDK?.Terri has been our family Accountant for many years ?she is outstanding !
Was looking for a good place for first time small business ( ice cream) LLC with a personal return. I read many reviews and decided to try TDK. They processed my return electronically, and it was very easy. It was less $ then I thought it would be for a business/ personal return. I also had them help with a tax issue with the company that I worked at. The company?s CPA couldn?t give us an answer but Nick did. Same day too. Highly recommend.
I have been coming to this office for my taxes for 7 years. I love Terry and her staff! They are very nice and personable. I always feel great coming into the office. I love doing business with TDK Financial. Highly recommend this business.
So, so happy I found them! Much more personalized than the chains and such kind, helpful people. I prefer having accountants do my taxes rather than doing it myself. That?s their job and they knows the laws, rules, ins and outs that the majority of us do not. And they do more than taxes there, too. Can?t recommend them highly enough!
I love TDK. Terri is wonderful, professional and very efficient. Patti who runs the front reception desk ahh so bubbly, very personable. Awesome place if you need a new tax preparer. I highly recommend TDK Financial
I have been going to TDK for several years now and I have never had any issues. Terri is always happy to see everyone who walks through her door. My taxes are always done correctly and in a timely fashion. I read the negative reviews and I can say I do not agree - yes, you are going to pay to get your taxes/services done! It is not going to be a free service lol. It takes time and effort to do a tax return (i work in Corporate Finance) and not only are you paying for the time spent but for the knowledge of
Terri has been preparing our taxes for years, couldn?t be happier with the quick courteous service we receive. Takes time to ask questions as well as to answer any you might have.
Terri either lacks knowledge of the policies she is selling OR she has no conscience. I firmly believe that she will take advantage of people who put their trust in her. My family's experience with her "advice" has led to a LOSS of $150k+ of our loved one's hard earned money.
I think this place is great. The assistant behind the counter is always so nice and pleasant. Very helpful. While Terry is my accountant, she is very sweet and really knows what she is doing and truly wants the best for people. I highly recommend this place for all kind of financial reasons.
TDK is a great place for any and all your financial needs. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I have been going there for at 10 years now. I highly recommend them.
This is our first tax season with Tdk I found them to be very thorough and reasonably priced The drive up window was very convenient for dropping off and picking up Terry and Patty make a great team together I would highly recommend them
We have used Terri and TDK Financial Center, Inc. for many years for both our personal and business needs... and could not be happier! A question is never more than a phone call or email away for an answer for us! A professional business all the way!
Been with TDK for years. Kind, compassionate financial advise all year long. Terry and her staff are great. 100% confident doing business here.
Super nice staff. Terry and her son Nick, very personable, and intelligent. Prices reasonable, and it's done right. Even with an organized mess of paper work.
Nick helped my business get on track and we really appreciated it. If you need anything they?re the ones to call.
Do not go here all they want is more & more money even after they tell you a price they Chang it by hundreds of dollars when you go to pay. very un happy and now I'm past my deadline to file because of them wouldn't recommendthem . they said I owed 535 I paid 280 and then went to pay my Balence and they said the Owed another $589 more.
Very professional and responsive. Would highly recommend for tax season. 5 out of 5!
The entire Team are the greatest! Maximum refund and incredibly quick service! I would give 25 stars if I could ??
Great service from everyone. Highly recommend them.
Nick helped out a ton regarding what to do or not to do and ask when purchasing a company vehicle @ a dealership. Thank you!

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
