Brian has by far been the best accountant I've ever worked with! He is very patient, answers all your questions, and really makes sure he is helping you to the best of his ability. I trust him very much and am so lucky I found him. I am also a new business owner and he is helping me navigate this with such ease.
Do not use this company. I was referred to Brian Bleifeld. Everything went smoothly in the beginning, in April, when my returns were originally filed. In July, I realized there were errors when I had not received the supposed refund from the state I was working in (and living in Texas). He was aware of the errors on 7/18/24. He dragged out trying to fix anything until 8/30/24 when he briefly got started (inquiring for information). He further dragged this out until 10/30/24 when I finally made this the dead

My husband?s coworker referred us to Brian Bleifeld at Texas Accounting Firm and we were very pleased with the service. We worked with Casey and Brian and they were tentative and replied to our questions very quickly. They completed our tax within less than a week. We will definitely work with Brian and Casey again.
I've been a client of Brian's for about three years now and he has helped me navigate some tricky terrain in terms of taxes, investments, cryptocurrency, and some losses I incurred along the way! Brian's firm has helped me save so much, that they is worth their weight in gold. I couldn't have figured this out on my own let alone any regular accounting firm. Texas Accounting Firm is a reliable, trustworthy, informative and professional organisation. Responsive, informative and dedicated to their customers needs. The service is the best I have experienced and have been kept up to date regularly with my personal submissions and progress. The fees are competitive and fair for the knowledge and guidance that
Do not use this company. I was referred to DeeAnn Standlee by someone. Everything was set up at the initial stage easily and then once they have your money they are non responsive. I had all of my documents submit to them ahead of time, and had to keep following up because I knew things had not been done yet. After finally thinking by June that my taxes were done and filed once they had finally sent the last document for signature, I got a notice in October for my taxes being 6 month late and now have penal
Brian is great! I highly recommend. He answers all of my questions, whether I have 1 or 100. He's always available via email or phone call. Glad I was able to find a good CPA for me and my new business.
Brian handles his business very professionally. Taxes can be an intimidating process, especially if you are a business owner. He keeps it simple and painless. At the same time he it?s a very educational process. I would recommend anyone use Brian wether you own a business a not. You can also follow his social media platform for more educational information about taxes.
Very disappointed! My taxes were not done on time, but I wasn't informed they wouldn't be done on time and that I needed to file an extension. I wasn't informed when they were filed either. The first time they filed them, they did not put my name correctly so it got kicked back. Now I am being penalized by the IRS for my taxes not being done or paid on time. Communication was slow and incomplete. I will not be using them again! The whole point of using a CPA, in my opinion, is to stay out of trouble with th
Texas Accounting Firm will be my accountants forever! Brian is knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to talk to. I don't like talking about money, but Brian makes it easy. The online portal they use is user friendly and secure. If you're a small business owner, trust Texas Accounting Firm!
Brian did an outstanding job on our tax returns.
Don't do it! I hired Brian and his firm back in January of 2022 to do my personal and my company taxes and accounting. He was great about getting everything set up. Then when it came time to do payroll I had remind him in advance or it would not get done. I started getting letters from the state saying my taxes were not done. I asked Brian about it and he said the state is just running behind but they are filed. 6 months in after I was sick of reminding him to do payroll I asked for proof of taxes, he apolo

This was my first year filing taxes as an independent contractor. Brian made the process easy and seamless and I would highly recommend his services. I will definitely be using him again next year. Thank you!
My husband and I have used Brian to prepare our taxes for his HVAC business for about 4 years now. He is always available for questions and his rates are very affordable!
We are very happy with the services provided by Brian. He has helped our company a lot with multi-state and complicated corporation tax filings.
We have been Standlee and Bleifeld CPAs clients for over 10 years. Always professional and prompt. Continue the good work as client advocate. Highly recommend their services.
As a young person, taxes are intimidating. Brian did such a wonderful job of walking me through the process and helping me maximize my deductions. 10/10
DeeAnn has got to be one of the most intelligent CPAs out there. I am amazed by her tax knowledge and her practical approach to getting through the maze the government makes us go through. Thanks for being awesome, DeeAnn!!
Brian helped me with my difficult tax filing this year and he was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and professional.
They will ghost you. They will not return your calls voicemails or messages. This is a red flag! This shows how they treat people in general.
I have worked with Standlee and Bleifeld on a complicated international tax situation, and they handle it with ease. I highly recommend this firm for all tax needs!
He has been doing my taxes for years, amazing service I trust them on all my taxes issues.
I highly recommend their services. They did exactly what they told me they were going to do. Thank you.

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
