Randi is the absolute best!!! She is very knowledgeable, and helpful explains everything perfectly. So you will understand exactly what the next steps are in the tax filing process. I highly recommend Randi and the rest of the Th&w staff.
Highly Unprofessional and uncharismatic. Gave me someone else?s tax return documents too. To start off, I worked with Randi two years ago and shortly after I sent my documents. I told her I figured out how to do them myself and I?d pay her a small fee for wasting her time. She told me that she already met with me in person once so she?d charge me the full invoice. Then once I paid; they proceeded to hand me ANOTHER PERSON?S / business w-2 tax and personal info!! This year, I moved to be with my mom in Ohio.
I've in the years past used a CPA out of state and confidently switched a few years ago to this great place. Beyond respectful and most importantly knowledgeable.
Randi is fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and can help with all your tax needs. She's so kind and breaks everything down so you can understand it. You can be sure you are filing appropriately because she has you covered!
This year i had TH&W do my taxes. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin Sizemore. And for the first time I walked away with complete confidence that my taxes were done right and for a great price. In years past I have tried H&R block, and Jackson Hewitt, nothing comes close to how professional and friendly he is!
Kevin Sizemore is a true professional. He is my personal and business accountant and I am so impressed with his attention to detail, his candor, and his unquestioned ethics. I can recommend him as a dependable and meticulously steward of your family's assets.
We have used Kevin Sizemore at Totherow, Haile, and Welch for the past 2 years. I have not been happier in 16 years with an accountant and their firm. They are quick, reliable, and very knowledgeable of their product and services. I have recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so!
Kevin Sizemore has been a key member of my team before, during and after the creation of my business. I value his guidance and expertise in the business tax field. I'm a technician by trade and require his skill set to keep my operations up and running smoothly, sleeping peacefully at night, knowing that I'm running a completely legit business through his help. Thank you Kevin.
Using TH&W has been a huge relief. I completely trust Kevin Sizemore and his team to guide me through my accounting and tax issues. They are efficient and thorough. They have a customer in me for a long time.
As a seasoned entrepreneur I have always partially did my taxes over the years. It has gotten to the point that I can no longer devote the time to do them correctly. We hired TH & W 3 years ago and it just happened to be about the time I was audited by the IRS. Obviously, TH&W had not done that years taxes so I was a little nervous going in. They represented me in the audit and we came out with flying colors. I now use TH&W for my payroll and all of my tax needs. They have also advised me in ways to p
Kevin Sizemore provides his clients outstanding service and representation unlike many others in his industry. He takes a vested interest in each and every one of his clients and works to exceed their needs and expectations.
Kellie takes great care of me and makes things easy to understand! Even though I've moved away, I still use TH&W because of the personal service I receive.
Kevin and his team have been fantastic. He's very timely, communicative and has taken a lot of stress off of us. Highly recommend!
The good folks at TH&W are professional, quick, and a pleasure to work with. They've been handling my personal & business taxes for many years now.
My family & various companies we have owned since the 1950's have retained TH&P CPA'Ss for this same time period. They have always been & continue to be the very best.
I have worked with Kevin for a few years now on personal and business taxes and I recommend him and their services.
Excellent, timely service, and very friendly people. They really do care about your business and strive to help above and beyond what is expected.
Very knowledgeable, professional, and willing to help with individual and business tax information
Working with TH&W, and Kevin Sizemore in particular is incredible.

They really know how to take care of their customers.
Literally the best around! Not even a question about it!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
