as you stated on the phone" how long is this going to take I have more important things to do." I signed paperwork for The Tax Shelter to get paid for their services from our Fed return. Not out of pocket. Then without any kind of notice you authorize a bank to take money out of my debit account. Before you try and cover it up, I know that the information for my debit account was only given for the deposit not a withdrawal transaction.
Ken Lill and Tom Parkman at the Tax Shelter have been preparing my parents taxes and my taxes for years. Ken has assisted me and my parents with CPA questions/needs. They are professional, extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy and personable. Highly recommend their services!
I have been doing my taxes with Tom since I arrived back in Athens. Until him, I had never been self filing properly, and consequently had never gotten a very good tax return. He is so thorough and friendly, I never feel like a number. I have had complex returns because of rental property and working in more than one state, and he is always so diligent. Simply the BEST!!
Ken is personable, efficient and you can trust him. He was very patient with me since I lacked one of the documents to complete the preparation. There are several ways to have the Tax Shelter submit your information which makes things really easy. Can't say enough positive things with the years of experience I have had with this organization.
Tom Parkman is our go-to tax guy! The Tax Shelter made it easy to schedule our appointment and had several availabilities even in April. Tom himself is very knowledgeable in taxes and helps us to get the best tax refund each year. We were able to pay for his services through our tax refund too and didn't have to pay out of pocket for anything! 10/10 recommend

Absolutely horrible company. They don't even know there own contracts and what is in them. Lord help you if the IRS gets involved then they back down and run and hide. I would not use them for a tax return if they are the last company on earth.

Chad is the best! Very knowledgeable about all the tax laws. Always a quick & easy meeting and I know I can count on his calculations and advice. A few years ago Chad helped me to drop an IRS demand for $12,000 down to $1,100 - what a relief!

Prompt expert advise and assistance. They have a helpful online portal for uploading and sharing documents, making appointments and other features which facilities zoom and phone meetings. My 30 minute session covered my tax filing and never left home.

Unfortunately, I have to write this two-star review. Trying to get a simple copy of something is very difficult from this office. Kenzi in particular is unhelpful and dismissive.
This place is TERRIBLE!! DO NOT do business with them. They implement the wrong information into the IRS causing you not to receive your refunds. And if you do receive it best believe it is NOT in a timely manor!! PLEASE LISTEN don?t give your information to these terrible people and waste your time!
