UCLA is an incredible institution that truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top universities in the world. Nestled in the heart of Westwood, the campus is stunning?think lush green quads, iconic architecture like Royce Hall, and breathtaking views of the LA skyline. The academic programs are rigorous and diverse, offering something for everyone, whether you're into STEM, the arts, or humanities. The professors are world-class, and the resources available to students are unmatched, from cutting-edg

Were so happy with the arrangements made for the Graduation Ceremonies. Big shout out to security who made sure everything went smoothly. The CSC?s efforts among all the others did not go unnoticed. Thank you so much.

Incredibly historical & spectacular architectural designs. Sparkling clean and well-maintained. I love how striking each building looks, especially the library! It's giving light academia aesthetic. Elite location. One of amazing attractions in Westwood.

When I visited the USA and Los Angeles with my family, we also visited UCLA University. It is a series of buildings, playgrounds, walking paths, a library, a park... In the summertime, when we were on campus for a tour, they even filmed a movie or series here. Great.

UCLA is a great school in terms of academics, sports, and other rankings. It has a lively and beautiful campus in Westwood, LA. Their dining food is also good (usually). However, I'm giving it a 4 star for a few reasons. First of all, it's expensive, even for in-state students. This is true for colleges everywhere in the U.S., but it still sucks. Also, the campus is built on a hill which is a strength but also a weakness at the same time. There are lot of steps and stairs just to get where you want to. All

UCLA is a very clean, quiet, beautiful campus. It is located at a very nice area. My brother Eric just graduated last week, and we never had any complaint about his stay there. He was able to grow and learn so much in this last 4 years! Now, my kids will attend a summer program there as well in a few weeks. Beautiful place!

What an amazing urban campus! Lots of buildings, clean roads, organized traffic, lots of green patches. Campus buses, BIRDS and bikes to get around, police presence, huge conference facilities And So diverse!

I went here to visit my son on his summer programs. The campus is large, with nice buildings and plazas. Not too easy to find parking space for visitors. They have a large student center and store with restaurants.

Very health conscious, clean, and gorgeous campus. The school shop has SO MANY Bruins clothing options and styles, it's hard to choose! The staff is lovely and helpful, from the library to the stores. There are free covid tests on campus for students, too. Looking forward to a great time here! Especially with Mr. Powell, the kitty ?

Just beautiful. We visited UCLA back in 2022 as part of a Jack Kent Cooke scholars trip and this university is amazing. The buildings have beautiful architecture and there are wide open spaces for a nice long walk.

First time attended here is 2012. I cannot believe an entire decade has slipped in a blink. The campus is beautiful as usual. The 2nd floor of store still has that sushi place, cafe, and Karl?s Jr, as well as those two big screens that served us for Euro Cups in 2012 summer. new students are energetic and passionate about everything just like us before. The food delivery robot is a new feature. Salute to UCLA. You are always the best.

It's just during the pandemic to visit this renowned public university that ranked the first in the US in 2020. Easy access to the main campus from I-405. Campus looks beautiful filled with the old and new buildings. Enjoy walking through them and taking pictures for about two hours. Campus sculptures were not our favorite but still made it more cultural environment.

I am a senior here, and it's an outstanding school. I will be interning at Apple this summer, and I cannot express enough how much UCLA prepared me for and helped me to achieve greatness. The students here are some of the brightest in the world, and the academics will challenge even the most brilliant minds.

beautiful campus!!! visited over the summer and the greenery and scenic views were amazing. the wide food selection was also nice to have, and the library was ridiculously quiet and offered a large amount of space to study / focus on work. overall a great campus and would definitely be interested in coming here as a student!

Beautiful campus with wonderful architecture. I loved walking around here late at night with the rain. There are tons of beautiful statues and awesome buildings. I liked even the more industrial sights. Another great thing is that nearly every single building and area can be walked through, zero dead ends, amazing for mindlessly walking around in.

Beautiful and very spacious university. Outstanding facilities as well. However, a number of homeless people are roaming around the campus.

It's a beautiful campus. Easy access with public transportation options available.

UCLA has such a beautiful campus, friendly people, high academic rigor, great food, and a chill atmosphere. The type of atmosphere that is usually never seen at other highly ranked institutions. Being here just feels like you're in a completely different reality. Go Bruins!

Love this campus and its architecture. My husband attended school here, and we try to come and walk the campus at least once a year. Their gear is a little pricy, but their clothes are soft and durable.

The very best institution of higher learning I have ever come across In my life having come from a developing country. Well equipped university with all the facilities you can think of. Keep up the great work and to be honest, I strongly recommend UCLA to all local and international bright students who want to pursue higher education but remember you have to be the best of the best(cre?me de la cre?me)!!

A night time tour of the UCLA campus. It's beautiful even at this time. Lovely mix of old and new buildings, lots of spaces to connect and think, and lots of stories to hear and tell.

The BEST college and MOST prestigious university in California. The academics and extracurricular offered are unparalleled. This school is definitely hands down one of the top universities in the entire United States.

Murphy Sculpture garden is just a part of UCLA, with dozens of gorgeous statues, such as Augustin Rodin?s walking man. The landmark Royce Hall and Powell Library, Janss steps. One of a kind art and architecture, really!

Great university, beautiful campus. Surrounded by many businesses, which create lots of job opportunities for students during their school years to get work experience before graduation.

Absolutely beautiful campus. My cousin and several of my friends go here and every time I visit the campus is kept clean and feels safe. The community is very diverse as well, campus is spacious, and has great combination of antique historical buildings as well as nature. My experience visiting here has been pleasant.

I'm not student but I wanted feel UCLA student so I went there. Lol amazing uni! If i can be past, I want to go to this Uni. btw I bought hoodies.

It's always great to be back on the campus of UCLA where I earned my bachelor's degree. So many wonderful memories during those formative years.

Old haunting grounds, went a week after graduation, banners were still up and the grounds landscape with flowers. Rather quiet atmosphere since academic year ended; young middle school age kids were experiencing summer camps and small families self-touring campus for future consideration.

I'm very fortunate to have UCLA as my alma mater. It is one of the most beautiful schools and the professors are some of the top in their fields. During my four year experience as an undergraduate, UCLA offered the perfect mix of competition, hard work, and fun. Undergraduate studies serves as the bridge between the comfortable bubble of childhood to the reality of society. When I graduated from high school, I had the sense that school was an easy breeze. This perception was strongly dismantled as I entere

Great tour! Shout out to Gabriel McCarthy for handing us a great experience at UCLA.

Walking through the campus on a rainy Sunday night, I enjoyed the varied architecture and plants. The sprawling campus is safe and clean.

Huge place, everyone were super friendly and polite. Too many people. Lots of activities. Good luck to all of the students

Gorgeous campus in the middle of Westwood! Many shops and restaurants are close walking distance. Be sure to check out the botanical garden

I always been a fan UCLA sports , June 11 of 2022 was very special cause my sister graduated in principal leadership It amazing to see people from so many different countrys be part of the best university in California.

UCLA opposes free speech, they have their own campus police department?they don't even protect students from outside agitators, they allow them to be beaten

Great atmosphere. Lots of school pride. Plus it's always nice when your college is near the beach. This is the spot if you want that So Cal vibe.

Went here for casual stroll around campus. It was a beautiful campus and there are lively college streets in the area.

It is very spacious with a lot of greenery even if ur not a student it is a nice place to go ti

One of the best experiences in my life was being a student of the UCLA. I am missing the LA life, the summer of LA, the instructors, the classes from Ucla. Hope I can visit there again but this time as a tourist :)

Amazing campus. Beautiful and huge! We had a great visit while deciding colleges. Every student we met was helpful, kind and informative.

Great, huge campus. I came for a visit and came across some movie filming apparently this is a frequent sight on campus, very interesting.

Beautiful campus. Polite staff. Tons of opportunities for great work outs outdoors.

2 Summer SemesterS there. Then Bachelors of Science in Paralegal Studies.

Big and beautiful campus with a great vibe and nice architecture

Classic campus with nature. Love the hill park

Great school. Great environment. Quiet campus. Under-maintained surrounding streets.

Beautiful buildings but a HUGE campus!! You can easily get lost if you don't know where you're going lol

UCLA is a beautiful campus, there is a very nice souvenir shop selling all UCLA goods, good choices for meals, nice library (public can enter also).

Beautiful campus. Buildings are so magnificent.

UCLA has a pretty campus that is easy to navigate.

best camping on the West Coast free shuttles lots of food and shopping options great staff

Beautiful campus! I wish I am 20 years younger.

Gorgeous building with a pretty looking campus!

Great place to take the family to watch some good UCLA softball ,we had a blast ..

There are a lot of bad things happening at UCLA, mainly in their parking lot, people, new employees, students and visitors' cars have been broken into and all their belongings have been stolen. The worst thing is that for some reason they don't have cameras inside the parking lot, so you will never know who broke into your car. It appears this is being done by UCLA staff, they know there are no cameras in the parking lots and they take their time doing it. There seem to be a lot of UCLA employees involve

Interesting place! It's crowded with bustling students, myself included, and the staff are nice.

A university that most dream of. Breathtaking campus! Stunning architecture, grounds and history.

Beautiful campus, nice plazas and green spaces.

Visiting UCLA, was an Incredible, life changing on-campus experience. The campus is beautiful and majestic. The buildings screamed at me, "come learn here" and I whispered back "one day". I would love to earn my PhD at this campus.

Great place !! Enter to learn and leave to serve ??

The UCLA bookstore is really cool. They've got all kinds of gear for fans and students alike. There's also a really cool gift section. Parking is best in an underground structure that isn't far from the bookstore.

The campus looks awesome. Free to walk around

I went to the Luskin center and stayed at Kimpton and both were very nice. It's pleasant to be on a campus this large that has so many kinds of people around. I wish the buses were clearer and more accessible for tourists.

Anti-protest-- extremely disappointing and violent restriction of student expression.

Great building, beautiful school

Beautiful campus, excellent sounding education. The grounds were clean and the buildings were impressive. I liked the architecture and reason behind the one with the side by side differences. The bookstore had plenty of options and the athletic center seemed great with the inspiring signs. I'd love if my son was accepted here.

Disappointingly Overrated I had high hopes for UCLA, given its touted reputation, but my experience left me thoroughly unimpressed. From the moment I stepped onto campus, it was clear that the university?s self-proclaimed prestige was a far cry from reality. Firstly, the supposed world-class education felt more like a numbers game. The large class sizes meant that personal interaction with professors was virtually nonexistent. It's challenging to excel when you're just a face in the crowd, lost in the sea

Everyone is friendly and upbeat. Optimists as usual! They allow for diversity and they aim to help you reach your goals.

Beautiful campus. The buildings are surrounded by trees.

What a beautiful campus!! Visited to tour for my daughter who may go here and it was wonderful. the campus is in the hills and surrounded by old trees. Huge and sprawling, wear comfortable shoes!!

This university is a delightful place to be at. Surrounded by many buildings, consisting of tons of departments, the area is huge. A fountain at the centre of the institute provides serenity. There are a lot of activities going on by the students which is fun to watch. Introductory tours are provided for the courses.

Truly a unique experience here. Not only is it world renowned for academics, but the student culture here is amazing as well. Many great and interesting people to be met here, and there is a very strong philanthropic sense and social justice tendencies here. Genuinely a unique experience to be had.

Whether its for classes, seminars or just meeting friends I thoroughly enjoyed spending time here. The campus is clean and well maintained with lots to explore. The staff and students are friendly and happy to guide you if you get lost on the sprawling grounds.

Beautiful campus. Well placed in the low rise (alluvial fan) of the hills behind it. The campus is sprawling, but interesting. There is a nice village that supports the UCLA community close, with coffee, groceries, movies, and all other manner or needs. The only downside is the parking and traffic that seem to be ever present.

The #1 public university in the country. What's not to like? Such a beautiful campus, a great basketball team, and world class academics too. Bruins roam the hills of Westwood. So much fun.

Great Hospital but I was there for a loved one not the greatest of circumstances. The cafeteria has great food though, and it's very affordable. Over 50 items available hot or cold with a variety of deserts and drinks. I had the steamed vegetables, fried rice & meat lasagna as my entree which came with a drink for under $10.

Best public university in the world! I enjoyed my time here, and I would recommend this academic institution to anyone fortunate enough to be offered enrollment. The weather is ALWAYS excellent, and as a walking campus, it gets you in shape.

The BEST college and MOST prestigious university in California. The academics and extracurricular offered are unparalleled. This school is definitely hands down one of the top universities in the entire United States. There isn't anything bad that can be said on any front when it comes to anything the bruins have to offer. The sports teams also are nothing short of amazing. The staff, culture, and student body are made up of individuals that are the most talented and brightest minds that this world has to o

People are mad for other students being mean. Well, that's how life is. Also being autistic is ok but you use it as an excuse for every thing. Overall great collage they support you in every way I recommend it for people who like making friends because your first year won't always be the best.

Overall extremely amazing school. I've had the most amazing experiences here and will treasure them always! By far the best choice I've ever made in my life and the scenery is just breathe taking! A must see!

Why can't you put the map on the whole screen instead of half the screen. I find your maps useless

Wonderful place to grow and study! My daughter chose this over Berkeley - and boy are we happy she did. Berkeley was a homeless trash pit. Unsafe & dirty. Bruin life is a happy time for her and she feels safe on campus.

One of the top public universities in the world in one of the best possible locations in the world! Top rated in more schools and departments than I can list here & culturally diverse! Very competitive & well respected. Beautiful campus, many Hollywood movies filmed there during the summers.

Class of 2019! I visited the campus twice and loved it a lot! A world-renowned institution with great teachers and academic/research scope. I hope to make the most out of my college experience here! So excited!!!!!!!

Only the best place on earth. You've got state of the art facilities with awesome professors and tons of opportunities if you're a student here. If you're just a visitor, you best visit the sculpture garden, botanical garden, and see Royce and Powell. If you know someone who goes there, please have them swipe you into the dining halls, no other school can compare.

Great campus and students.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful UC campuses. I have been to most of them, and this one takes the cake. It is located in a upscale area of Brentwood and is easily accessible from the Sunset strip heading west. The campus is not just for learning, they often hold festivals and concerts in the Quad area and on the practice fields. I know that every year in the summertime there is a reggae festival that occurs here and one year Erykah Badu performed. It was amazing. I am never let down when I visi

USC is one of the best campus to hang out even though I never attended the school, I totally love it, just to hang out around campus makes you wanna succeed In life, love the colors and basketball team is great if I had the chance to go back in time I will definitely attend.

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications should I look for in a CPA?

Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.

How do I find a CPA in my area?

Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.

What’s the difference between a CPA and an accountant?

A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.

How do I know if a CPA specializes in my needs?

Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.

Should I check a CPA’s reviews before hiring?

Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.

How can I verify a CPA’s license?

Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.

What questions should I ask during a CPA consultation?

Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.

How much should I expect to pay for a CPA’s services?

Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.

Can I work with a CPA remotely?

Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.

How do I assess a CPA’s communication skills?

During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.

What red flags should I watch for when screening a CPA?

Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.

Should I choose a CPA from a large firm or a solo practitioner?

Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.

How often should I meet with my CPA?

For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.

Can a CPA help with both personal and business finances?

Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with my CPA?

Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
