I have never dealt with this company. To have one give them my information from here, somehow. To be harassed and deal with fallout from their negligence. I do not get how I lost from not dealing with this company. To have my info sold off. And be contacted quit a bit. And have to deal with fallout within my bankaccount. I find out who gave you my info. I will have to seek legal representation. It is outrageous anymore within who contacts me.
I've worked with W&J for many years and they are great. My personal return can be a bit complicated but they make life easy for me. They are a team of truly dedicated professionals. Furthermore, their business consulting unit is fantastic. One of the few CPA firms I've worked with that remains proactive rather than reactive.
We have worked with W&J for many years and consider many of our successes a direct result of our relationship with them. The services they provide for us include Business Consulting, Payroll, complete Accounting Services and Dashboard generation. They have helped Production Saw and Machine to truly become a Metric driven organization. Tom, Brian and the whole company are some of the most respected Accounting professionals in this area, I'm proud to know them not just regarding business, but they've beco
We went to them based on reviews, big mistake, my taxes were done correctly but my fianc?s weren't, called them several times left voice mails and not 1 call back. They listed MY bank account for his return even though I specifically told them we are not married and don't share an account, follow the return setup from the previous accountant. But no, instead they chose to go ahead and just copy and paste MY banking information completely disregarding what I told them from the getgo. Then when we caught it,
Willis & Jurasek has been JTV's accounting firm since our founding 18 years ago and they have been instrumental in our growth and success. The team cares about us and their knowledge and creativity are tops. We can't thank them enough for all they have done for us. Jackson is lucky to have this world-class accounting firm.
Our Business Used this firm for our company and I have found error after error since my husband has passed away. I have sent left there firm and had to pay many fees do to taxes not being filed or paid from past years. They are also not coroporating with the firm we have hired in getting our files to them. It is now been over a month and the new firm still does not have the information to extend my business and personal tax returns at today is the day before tax day. I would not recommend this firm to anyon
I've worked directly with Willis & Jurasek and have found the group to be very professional and hard-working. When new speed bumps arise, they have been quick to find solutions. I've had a very positive experience.
W&J takes a team oriented approach to client service and are focused on our clients futures by listening and working together with our clients to achieve their goals.
I've used Willis & Jurasek for a number of years now and would highly recommend. The entire team has been more than professional every step along the way.
Highly professional, very detail oriented! They are always prompt with needed information and go above and beyond to help their clients, including answering questions and providing any and all information as needed. If they do not immediately know they answer, guaranteed they will get it for you in a timely fashion! Would not use any other firm!!
I appreciate the professionalism and knowledge of W&J and have enjoyed working with its team for many years! Highly recommend for tax and planning needs.
Definitely a blessing working with this team! It is refreshing working with individuals who truly care about their work and the people we have the pleasure of doing business with!
I've used Willis & Jurasek for years and highly recommend!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
