This was truly the worst experience I've had with any professional. I was ghosted for most of the year and then frantically called the night before taxes were due, told it was too late for them to file electronically so I had to miss work to file my own taxes at the post office. Then, I get a letter saying that my private information has been compromised in a data breach. I've honestly never left a negative review in my life but I feel others should be warned.
Wolfe Consulting LLC provided a disappointing experience. Their communication was inconsistent, and the deliverables were subpar, lacking the promised expertise. Deadlines were missed, and the overall service felt unprofessional. I expected better for the price.
So thankful that I found this agency and made the switch! They are great. Angela is the best! Extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
Got a recommendation for a CPA through my Realtor network... well Justin was overwhelmingly recommended by six agents. I must say Justin knows his business inside and out. He listens and explains and makes sure you understand. He meets his promises on deadlines and goes the extra mile. I certainly would recommend him to any of my associates and friends and family.
Justin is the 3rd tax consultant I have used since becoming a realtor. He is by far the most competent and communicative tax professional. He cares about our well-being and has advised me on many components that were never mentioned by others. If you try his services you will be grateful you did.
Did not communicate well. I kept receiving bills from the State of Oregon and from the IRS. Going through this company costed me thousands. It did not save me any money or time; quite the opposite. IRS forms and the forms he gave me as copies did not match. Recommend going elsewhere if you don't like headaches.
We came across Justin through another professional in my industry (real estate). He has gone above and beyond, makes house calls because he knows I have two small children and it's difficult to get out the door. He's easy to communicate with and I've referred many people to him. If you're not going to Justin Wolfe CPA for your taxes, you're doing it wrong! Don't walk, run! He'll get you set up and have dates and deadlines ready for you. Will continue referring to him.
I've always prepared my own taxes and this was the first year I seeked out help. Justin was very professional and helpful in completing my tax return in a timely manner. I'm happy with the services provided and would use him again in the future.
Justin has been very easy to work with and he is always very quick to reply. With his help, we were able to save over $10,000 on the last three years of taxes! So grateful for his expertise!
This was my first experience using a CPA to file taxes, and I'm glad I did. I needed some guidance with the crazy things that happened in 2020 and all the changes in my life. Justin kept me informed and explained each step of the process. I really appreciate his services and look forward to working with him again.
Justin Wolfe of Wolfe Consulting LLC is very knowledgeable and professional. He works diligently to find the best solutions for his clients and is extremely adept at navigating the many complexities of tax preparation. His rates are competitive and his system for filing is easy to use. We highly recommend him.?Angie Hughes and Ryan Davis
Justin Wolfe is the very best! His deep understanding of the residential real estate market coupled with his extensive accounting background allow him to help his clients to receive the best advice. Wish I could give more stars to Justin!
Had a great experience with Justin - he was knowledgeable and prompt, and was deftly able to turn our somewhat unconditional income filing into something we could work with. We?ll definitely come back next year!
Justin is great through the year with my taxes. He also is always willing to help answer any questions I have. He works hard for me. He?s very capable too.
We have been working with Justin for a few years now and could not be happier with the services he provides for our company. He is accountable, present, consistent and fair.
For the past 3 years Justin has done great for me with my taxes. I?ve also been able to call with questions throughout the year.
Justin?s service was quick, efficient, well communicated, at an exceedingly reasonable rate. SO HAPPY, I?ve found my PNW tax person.
Simply put, it pays to have a good C.P.A. in your corner. I would submit that if you give Justin a shot... you will not be disappointed.
Very professional and proficient business! Excellent staff! Very responsive to questions and concerns. Highly recommended
Justin does a great job!!!
EXCELLENT CONSULTANT AND CPA!!! this is the right place if you want the best
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
