Yaeger, Treviso, and Associates have prepared our taxes for over 20 years, even though we've lived in a different state for most of that time. They are the consummate professionals: responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, proactive, and friendly. Their processes are streamlined, efficient, and easy to complete. They make getting taxes done easy!! We recommend them to friends and family regularly.
I cannot say enough about YTA and how they have helped to shape our companies success. Our books and accounting felt overwhelming as a small business, and quite frankly were a hot mess. Carl has cleaned up our books, educated our team on proper accounting practices and truly changed our companies financial future for the better. Nothing but praise and gratitude! ????
Another tax season coming. Highly recommend their tax service - friendly partner / excellent service / hard-working employees will make sure your tax return is completed on time and properly!
I have personally worked with Chuck Treviso since 2007. He has completed our business taxes as well as our personal taxes. He is knowledgable, efficient and dedicated. He is the best of the best when it comes to his craft.
We have been using Charles Treviso for 6-7 years now and I have to say it has been a pleasure doing business with him and his firm. Charles has done an outstanding job taking care of my family and I on our taxes and in helping me set up my business and the accounts. He has been extremely accommodating in getting me copies of my returns and other documentation when I needed them and he does it expediently. I have recommended his services to numerous co workers and the ones that have used his services have
Working with Chuck Treviso was a pleasure. He was straightforward from the beginning about costs and services rendered. He was always timely and proactive with updates about filing, whether for estimated payments or year end taxes. I received all of my tax materials to review in plenty of time before the year end deadline and he charged me what he promised! I would highly recommend him!
As a new business owner, I?ve been impressed with the helpfulness of working with Charles Treviso as I get established. This office is professional, responsive, and resourceful. I?ve been very pleased with my early experience in working with their firm.
I have used Yaeger, Treviso & Associates for well over a decade for both my business and personal taxes and I can not speak highly enough about the level of service, professionalism and communication that this firm has offered over those years. As a small business owner I feel as though I have a tax and accounting team at my fingertips as a partner. They have been an incredible asset to the financial health of our organization and would and have recommended them to many of my peers.
Where to start!! I have the pleasure of working with Chuck and Team since 2007. As a Business Owner, I relied heavily on Chuck to handle my Taxes (both Business and Personal), along with Investment strategies. Knowing that Chuck had my back, I was able to focus on my core competencies of running and growing a successful business. I would recommend his Team to anyone who is looking to have an Accounting Partner, that will handle their accounting needs like they were their own. I never felt nickle'd and
YTA has an incredible staff. From Chuck to his legal associates, Jane and Kathy, they made an emotional Estate Closing process simple, quick and painless. They were empathetic, helpful, efficient and I did not get sticker shock at the end. My family has used them annually for their income tax preparation. Awesome Team!
I'm a happy and very well cared for client of Yaeger Trevisio & Associates since they opened their branch office in Ovid, NY. Recently I had an over-the-phone consult regarding some confusion I had regarding a large deduction. Mr. Treviso (Chuck) kindly and patiently answered my concerns in a professional manner in a way that I could actually understand. Thank you sir.
Force to drop off my taxes since COVID hit instead of having them done in person. Was there at 8:10 am and they weren't open yet. They had my taxes for four weeks and I never heard anything back. I reached out to them and didn't receive an explanation or apology for the delay. I am from a low income household. I doubt my business has any affect on them.
They've done my taxes for eight years. Good service and goes above and beyond to explain changes in taxes year by year. Highly recommend
I was in a bit of an emergent situation regarding my business taxes whom I was seeing another Accountant for. Charles set up a call with me to discuss my options and direct me in the right direction despite not being a current client of his. It appears that they go above and beyond for their clients! Thank You Charles!
The team at YTA is absolutely amazing ...From start to finish they have always went above and beyond.
I have been a client of Yaeger, Treviso & Associates for many years, recommending them to my family and friends any chance I get. Always a great job!
Simply the best. I have been a client for over 10 years now. The service is exceptional and the staff is wonderful. Big time family feel at YT-A
Great service from Andrew Williams, very professional. Would highly recommend him. (and, Stacy is so nice!).
I have been using them for 6 years now. Great friendly service and very knowledgeable of current tax laws.
Would recommend them. Mr Treviso himself answered all the questions I had in very nice and personable manner.
I've worked with a lot of accountants (including Turbo Tax) and these folks are wonderful. Thoughtful, hard working, reasonably priced.
Best accounting firm I ever dealt with. Have Life Insurance with them also. Very professional organization.
Still have not received a call back to schedule an appointment for a returning client after two weeks and 4 phone calls. Annoyed.
Poor communication through process, nobody answers during business hours or returns emails promptly.
Awesome , they handle my issue fast and very professional ! All their staff are great
All services should be this efficient! Excellent business practices year after year. Thank you
Exceptional service! Reliable, efficient and very timely responses to questions/email. Thank you.

Always fun to do my taxes with YT&associates
Great service, and quick!
Look for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, which ensures they’ve passed rigorous exams and meet state requirements. Check for relevant experience in your industry, additional certifications like CFA or CMA, and membership in professional organizations like the AICPA. Verify their credentials through state licensing boards.
Use online directories like the AICPA, CPAverify, or state CPA societies. Search platforms like Yelp or Google for local CPAs with reviews. Ask for referrals from business associates, friends, or financial advisors. Local chambers of commerce can also provide recommendations.
A CPA is a licensed professional who has passed the CPA exam and met state requirements for education and experience. An accountant may lack this certification and could have varying levels of expertise. For complex tasks like tax audits or financial reporting, a CPA is typically more qualified.
Ask about their experience with your specific financial needs, such as tax preparation, small business accounting, or estate planning. Review their website or LinkedIn for case studies or client testimonials. Inquire about their client base to ensure they handle similar financial situations.
Yes, reviews provide insight into a CPA’s reliability, communication, and performance. Check platforms like Google, Yelp, or the Better Business Bureau for client feedback. Look for patterns in reviews, but verify their authenticity, as some may be biased or outdated.
Visit your state’s Board of Accountancy website or use CPAverify.org to check a CPA’s license status. Confirm their license is active and check for any disciplinary actions or complaints. This ensures they’re in good standing and meet professional standards.
Ask about their experience with your financial needs, fee structure, availability, and communication style. Inquire how they handle tax filings, audits, or financial planning. Ask for references or examples of similar work to assess their expertise and fit.
Fees vary based on location, services, and complexity. Basic tax preparation may cost $150-$500, while business accounting or audits can range from $1,000 to $10,000+. Request a detailed fee structure upfront and compare quotes from multiple CPAs.
Yes, many CPAs offer remote services through secure online platforms for document sharing and virtual consultations. Ensure they use encrypted tools for data security. Remote CPAs can be effective if they understand your local tax laws or business regulations.
During consultations, evaluate their ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Ask sample questions about taxes or financial strategies and note their responsiveness and clarity. Good communication ensures you understand their advice and fosters a productive relationship.
Beware of CPAs who guarantee specific tax refunds, lack a valid license, or have disciplinary actions on record. Avoid those with poor communication, vague fee structures, or negative reviews highlighting unethical behavior. Always verify their credentials independently.
Large firms offer more resources and specialized teams but may charge higher fees. Solo practitioners often provide personalized service and lower costs but may have limited availability. Choose based on your needs, budget, and preference for personalized attention.
For individuals, annual meetings for tax preparation may suffice. Businesses may need quarterly or monthly check-ins for bookkeeping, tax planning, or financial reporting. Discuss your needs upfront to establish a meeting schedule that aligns with your financial goals.
Yes, many CPAs handle both, but confirm their expertise in both areas. Ask about their experience managing personal taxes and business accounting simultaneously. Ensure they can balance both without compromising attention to your specific financial needs.
Discuss concerns directly with your CPA to resolve issues. If unresolved, check your contract for termination terms. Seek a new CPA by researching reviews, credentials, and referrals. Request your financial records to ensure a smooth transition to a new professional.
